Naruto: Paws and Whiskers

Chapter 30: Chapter 30

"It's only a handful of points, too little," Takeshi grumbled.

As the "elder brother" of Naruto, he was simply complaining in the depths of his heart. In reality, he understood that Iruka himself was not strong enough, and at just five or six years old, he was naturally much weaker than Obito.

There were many other children in the class, but most of them were similar to Iruka and couldn't stand out.

The strongest ones were probably only Hayate and Anko. It was all so boring. Takeshi blended into the crowd and quietly slipped away.

Takeshi sat on the rooftop of the Academy, gazing out at the entire landscape of Konoha from a distance.

This was likely the most prosperous place in the ninja world. However, from the perspective of his previous life, he feared it was just that – not even a professional pet hospital or other facilities existed, let alone those exclusive toys and ninja tools for ninja beasts.

Takeshi pulled out an Iron Ball from his pouch. This iron ball could automatically recover within a certain range.

If used properly, it could indeed be regarded as a "hidden weapon." However, Takeshi had tried it before at night.

With the strength of his own paws, throwing the iron ball was nothing more than a fool's errand. He saved it instead.

Takeshi put it away and lay down on the edge of the rooftop. Without Kakashi chasing after him, life seemed a lot more mundane. Rin was studying in the hospital, and the others...

Takeshi narrowed his eyes slightly and noticed people running on the road below. Two familiar figures caught his attention – Guy and Obito.

"Those two are really becoming more and more alike," Takeshi thought to himself. Obito was very hard-working.

Every time he came back during this period, he could see Guy and Obito running together on the road. Occasionally, he also saw them practicing physical skills in some woods.

Of course, this was not a master-student relationship but more about the two of them training together.

Obito was not only practicing physical skills but also practicing his own ninjutsu from time to time.

Obito had indeed made great progress. He already had some talent, but he wasn't on the same level as a genius like Kakashi.

If he had graduated early like Guy, he might have made more progress by now. However, Takeshi doubted if his rapid progress would affect the team selection by the Third Hokage...

Takeshi thought about it and concluded it was unlikely. Obito was from the Uchiha clan, and his personality was not at all similar to that of the Uchiha clan these days.

The top management of Konoha should also use Obito to deal with conflicts with the Uchiha clan.

The changes in the situation later were not expected by anyone. Takeshi sat there, swatting the flies that kept attacking him with his claws, then got up and left from the edge of the rooftop. Since he couldn't meet Anko, and he didn't plan to stay any longer.

Takeshi got up and was about to head home. At this moment, he accidentally glanced and noticed a rather special person – a boy with silver hair.

He stood outside the Ninja Academy, secretly looking at the Ninja Academy in a bush near the edge of Konoha, his eyes sometimes widening and sometimes narrowing slightly.

Cats have very good eyesight, so Takeshi could see clearly. The boy didn't wear glasses, but he looked like Kabuto Yakushi in the manga.

The way he squinted was probably because he didn't wear glasses. Takeshi squatted for a while, then quickly ran over there, jumped out, and jumped into the woods behind Kabuto.

Kabuto was extremely nervous. When he heard the noise, he immediately turned around and ran away, only to see a ninja wearing a forehead protector squatting on a tree not far away.

Since he was not wearing glasses, he couldn't see clearly the other person's appearance.

"Who are you, and why are you hiding here?" Kabuto Yakushi swallowed, forced himself to calm down, and bowed to the ninja in front of him.

'As expected, it's Kabuto Yakushi,' Takeshi thought to himself.

He kept his crouching position, nodded slightly, then stared at the little boy for a few seconds before saying, "You've been watching here for a long time. Do you want to be a ninja?"

"Of course, you can earn money by doing tasks as a ninja. As for using that money..." Kabuto Yakushi was stunned for a moment when he said this and did not continue, but deep down in his heart, he secretly said – 'If I can make money, the dean of the orphanage will not have to run around to make money.'

"There are many ways to make money, and not only ninjas can make money, such as opening a pet snack bar, or a pet service store, or a pet hospital..." Takeshi said.

Pet snacks? Pet services? Pet Hospital? A trace of confusion appeared on Yakushi Kabuto's face. With his limited knowledge, he never imagined that pet snacks and services could also make money. As for pet hospitals... what is that?

"Kabuto, Kabuto!"

At this moment, a woman's voice came faintly from the distance.

Yakushi Kabuto immediately turned around, and when he turned around again, the ninja had disappeared without a trace.

He was a little disappointed and looked around, but he couldn't see clearly without his glasses, so he gave up and turned around and ran in the direction of Nono Yakushi.

After he left, Takeshi walked out from behind the tree. He dared to pretend to be a Human ninja in front of Kabuto, but Yakushi Nono was a very powerful ninja, and his transformation skills would be seen through at a glance. Forget it, it was just a whim anyway.

However, if Kabuto Yakushi had not had that incident, he would definitely have become an amazing medical ninja with his talent. It was a pity that there was a troublemaker in the village...

Takeshi followed behind and saw Kabuto meeting Yakushi Nono. The gentle woman, born out of the roots, smiled and put on a pair of glasses for Kabuto.

After getting the glasses, Kabuto immediately looked back. Unfortunately, he didn't see the ninja.

"Kabuto, what are you looking for?" Nono looked along curiously, and then saw the Ninja Academy. She touched Kabuto's head with a slightly complicated expression, but couldn't make any promises.

Of course, everyone in the village can attend the Ninja Academy, but the orphanage cannot favor only Kabuto, but it cannot afford to pay for all the children to go to the Academy.

Moreover, Kabuto's identity is an orphan left over from the war in another village.

After thinking for a moment, a bright and beautiful smile broke out on her face, and she said, "Kabuto wants to learn ninjutsu?"

"Huh? Yeah!" Kabuto turned back to look at the dean and nodded heavily.

"I will teach you some basic ninjutsu when you go back. You can learn medical ninjutsu from me in the future." Nono touched his hair.

At this time, she saw a black kitten on the wall not far away, looking at her steadily. It looked quite cute.

The dean thought Takeshi was a stray cat and felt a little pitiful in her heart. After taking a closer look, she realized that this was an owner, a ninja cat.

This is strange, is it from the Uchiha family? A thought flashed through her mind. Kabuto saw the cat in the reflection of her glasses and looked back... it turned out to be a ninja cat.

"Let's go." Nono touched his hair and stood up to go back to the orphanage. There were still many things to do at home, but he couldn't stay here for long.

"Yes." Kabuto Yakushi nodded and left together.

He took a few steps but looked back at Takeshi. For some reason, he always felt weird when he saw the cat, as if something was wrong.

Takeshi followed them after they left. The cat's nose was sharp enough for it to follow the scent, and Kabuto in front was also wondering what was wrong.

As he approached home, an idea flashed in his mind. The money-making business that ninja-sama mentioned was all related to pets.

Could it be that that ninja was the leader of this ninja cat? It's Possible! When he thought of this, another idea suddenly came to his mind – if he learned medical ninjutsu, he could not only collect money for treating people but also make money for treating pets.

This is also a way to make money, and it may not be impossible to open a pet hospital when he matures. At this time, Kabuto had not dabbled in medical skills.

He only thought that treating people and pets were both medical treatments, and the methods should be similar. He didn't think there was any difference between the two.
