Naruto: Ōtsutsuki lineage

Chapter 13: Error

Chen, still seething with anger, stared at the translucent screen floating before him. "This is unacceptable! System, I demand compensation for this error."

As always, the system responded with its cold, mechanical tone:

[⚠️ Error logged. Please try again. ⚠️]

"That's not enough!" Chen shouted, his frustration mounting. "I've spent my coins and my time. If I don't get adequate compensation, I won't stand for it!"

A tense silence followed before the blue screen reappeared:

[💬 Host has requested compensation. Processing request... 💬]

Chen crossed his arms, waiting impatiently. Finally, the screen changed again:

[✅ Request approved. As compensation for the error, you will receive an additional 100,000 coins and a compensation package. Additionally, you will be given another chance at the roulette. ✅]

Chen's face lit up with a satisfied smile. "That's better. But next time, make sure not to make mistakes."

The blue screen flickered once more:

[📦 Compensation package received. 📦 It will be sent directly to your backpack 🎒]

With a satisfied grin, Chen nodded. "Alright, let's give this roulette another shot!" he said, pressing the central button again. The roulette started spinning rapidly, the same items aligned in its sections.

This time, Chen was determined to get something of value. He watched intently as the roulette spun, silently praying for no more technical issues.

Finally, the roulette began to slow down. Chen held his breath as the pointer moved slowly, passing the Goku Alarm Clock, the Gaea Ring, and finally stopping at…

[✅ Congratulations, you have obtained the Pikachu Keychain ✅]

Chen exhaled in disbelief. "Seriously? Out of all things, the Pikachu Keychain?"

He picked up the keychain that had appeared before him and examined it closely.

It was a tiny plastic Pikachu, with no special abilities, but with an adorable expression. "Well, at least it's cute," he murmured, tucking the keychain away.

"Let's try the next one."

- Eight Gods Void Strike (Ancient Scroll): A powerful technique that allows the user to create giant chakra arms for devastating attacks.

- Augmented Reality Glasses (Modern Glasses): Glasses that project digital information over the real world.

- Future Sandwich (Wrapped Sandwich): A sandwich that never spoils and always tastes fresh.

- Nezuko's Muzzle (Bamboo Piece): Nezuko's bamboo muzzle isn't just for her look; it's essential for controlling her murderous demonic impulses.

- Party Hat (Colorful Hat with Glitter): A party hat that plays festive music when worn.

- Phoenix Feather (Shiny Feather): A feather that can heal minor wounds and rejuvenate the user.

"The muzzle would come in handy to silence Hiro…" Chen thought, picturing Hiro with a bamboo piece in his mouth.

He chuckled to himself before focusing on the spinning roulette.

The roulette spun quickly, mixing the items in a whirl of colors. Chen watched closely, praying for something of real value this time.

Eventually, the roulette began to slow down, and the pointer moved slowly, passing the Augmented Reality Glasses, the Future Sandwich, and finally stopping at…

[✅ Congratulations, you have obtained the Eight Gods Void Strike ✅]

"Eight Gods Void Strike!!" Chen exclaimed in awe. "Yes!"

A scroll appeared, floating before him. As he opened it, he felt a surge of knowledge flowing into his mind.

It wasn't memories from previous users, but the detailed theory and practice of executing the attack.

"This is amazing…" Chen murmured, feeling his chakra control, already impressive, become even more refined, more precise, with complete mastery over all the chakra in his body.

Calming his emotions, he decided to save the practice for later, exited the lottery white space, and returned to his room, where he had vanished from before entering the lottery space.

He looked around, making sure everything was in order, and headed towards his system backpack.

Opening the system backpack, he found a single item in the grid: a brown bag labeled "Compensation."

He quickly pressed the icon of the brown bag, and it appeared suddenly before him. Remembering what happened last time he opened a package, he decided to be more cautious.

He opened the brown bag, dumping its contents onto the bed. Three items fell out: a syringe with bright green liquid, an old scroll, and a cardboard box.

"Impressive," he murmured, baffled how a large box could fit into a small bag.

First, he picked up the syringe, and a notification appeared before him:

[💉 Super Serum: Increases physical prowess tenfold with no side effects. 💉]

"Nice!" Chen exclaimed, satisfied. "This will come in handy at some point, but I'll save it for later." He said, putting the syringe in the system backpack.

Next, he unrolled the scroll. As soon as he opened it, he realized it was the Armament Haki. As time passed, a wave of knowledge flowed into his mind, teaching him the theory and practice.

He simply nodded at this, as he already had an idea of how to awaken his Armament Haki if he set his mind to it.

Finally, he looked at the huge box and opened it. It contained a bunch of canned meat. "Sigh… Well, at least I won't have to worry about food for a while," he said with a smile, setting the box aside.

He decided it was time to check the shop. Hoping to find something truly valuable, he opened the shop interface and began scrolling through the available options.

"Come on, there has to be something cheap and useful here…" he murmured as he browsed through various techniques and items, many of which didn't catch his interest.

Finally, after several minutes of searching, he found what he was looking for: the Shadow Clone Technique and the Multi Shadow Clone Technique.

His eyes lit up when he saw them. "How could I forget this gem," he said, unable to hide his excitement. "With this, my life will be so much easier."

Without a second thought, he clicked on the Shadow Clone Technique and confirmed the purchase. A notification immediately appeared before him:

[✅ You have acquired the Shadow Clone Technique (30,000 coins) ✅]

Chen smiled, satisfied. 'Worth every coin,' he thought, before moving on to the Multi Shadow Clone Technique.

With a resigned sigh, he clicked on the technique and confirmed the purchase. Another notification appeared before him:

[✅ You have acquired the Multi Shadow Clone Technique (50,000 coins) ✅]

Chen rubbed his hands together, excited about the new skills he had just acquired.

"This shop is really just for show, you look but don't buy… Well, at least now I have what I wanted." However, he couldn't help but complain about the high cost.

Deciding not to waste any more time, Chen sat like a novel cultivator on his bed and began studying the techniques he had just acquired.

Information on how to execute each technique flowed directly into his mind.

First, he practiced the Shadow Clone Technique. He channeled his chakra according to the instructions, and in an instant, an identical clone appeared beside him.

Satisfied with the result, he nodded. "So simple but so sneaky."

Next, he moved on to the Multi Shadow Clone Technique. This technique required more advanced chakra control and a greater amount of energy. But for him, it was as easy as drinking water.

Suddenly, the room was filled with several clones of Chen, each one as real as the original.

"Perfect," Chen said, observing his clones with pride. "Officially, no one in this pathetic world is my rival."

After chatting with the clones (with himself), he decided to dissolve them. It had been a long and exhausting day, but also very productive.

Heading to bed, feeling satisfied with the day's achievements, he collapsed onto the mattress, a wave of fatigue washing over him.

Closing his eyes, he let sleep envelop him slowly. As he drifted into the world of dreams, a smile spread across his face.

Chen woke up late the next day, feeling a slight annoyance as sunlight streamed through the windows. "Damn, I relaxed too much yesterday," he muttered, rubbing his eyes as he got out of bed.

After a quick shower, Chen dressed in his usual outfit: a high-collared black kimono with long sleeves and silver detailing, which complemented his silver hair and lavender eyes. And, of course, his ninja sandals.

He headed towards the canned meat he had left aside the night before. 'At least I won't have to worry about breakfast,' he thought as he opened a can and began eating.

As he chewed the meat, he reflected on the importance of maintaining a disciplined routine. "I can't afford to get lazy. I need to be in the best shape possible, especially with all the new skills I've acquired."

After finishing his breakfast, Chen headed to his training area but was caught off guard as he left his house.

He found himself face to face with a group of kids his age, led by Hyuga Hiro. The kids stopped when they saw him and began whispering among themselves.

Hiro, with a mocking smile, stepped forward. "Look, there's Chen. Always so... special."

Chen raised an eyebrow. "What do you want, Hiro?"

Hiro shrugged, feigning innocence. "Nothing in particular. Just wanted to invite you to play. But it seems you're never home."

One of the kids, a boy with short dark hair, laughed. "Yeah, Chen's always busy. Probably training to be... Oh right, he's a useless."

The laughter grew louder, and another kid added, "My parents say Chen is useless. He doesn't have the eyes or hair of a true Hyuga."

Chen remained unfazed by the comments. "Anything else?" he asked calmly, looking at Hiro.

Hiro, not wanting to be left out, joined in the mockery. "Oh, come on, Chen. You're no fun like this."

Chen gave a faint smile, mentally lamenting not having that piece of bamboo.

He chose not to respond, knowing his words wouldn't change the kids' opinions, and frankly, he didn't care to.

Hiro frowned when Chen didn't answer. "Why aren't you responding? And where are you going?"

Chen looked Hiro directly in the eyes. "That's none of your concern, Hiro."

With that, Chen turned to leave. "Enjoy your games while you can," he said without further explanation.

As he walked towards his training area, Chen pondered the situation. He knew that many of the kids mocking him would probably not survive the war that would start in six years.

The harsh reality of ninja life meant that only the strong would survive.

"What a waste of potential," he murmured to himself, feeling a mix of pity and disdain for the children who had criticized him.
