Naruto: Aizen's Shadow in Konoha

Chapter 21: Senju Ryuken

"Whoa there, Ryuken, that's not what happened! I just got a little banged up during training with a classmate. Aizen wasn't trying to hurt me," Senju Nawaki stammered anxiously, waving his hands as he spoke to the young man in front of him. This was Senju Nawaki cousin, Senju Ryuken! Grandson of the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju, and cousin to Tsunade. Aizen would've been shocked to see him.

If Aizen was here, it would have been shocking.

Because Senju Ryuken was one of the "Konoha Eight Colours" from Naruto characters created by the fans in his previous life.

But this is just a simple virtual character, he wouldn't expect that he would actually exist in this world.

Just to clarify, "Konoha's Eight" refers to:

Hatake Sakumo (White Fang of Konoha), Namikaze Minato (Yellow Flash), Might Guy (Blue Beast), Mitarashi Zashi, Kakashi Hatake (Copy Ninja), Sarutobi Shinnosuke and now, Senju Ryuken (who some consider part of this unofficial group), Shinku Yūhi ( Red sunset ).

It seems some of these "Konoha Eight" are real, while others are purely fan fiction.

"A classmate, huh? Is it that Aizen guy?" Senju Ryuken asked, his voice hinting at something deeper.

"Yeah," Nawaki confirmed honestly.

"Hmph! As a Senju descendant, losing to anyone is unacceptable, especially someone like that! It brings shame to the clan. You better train harder next time!"

Senju Ryuken scoffed and left those parting words before heading home.

Tsunade completely ignored Ryuken and glared at him. This left Nawaki feeling awkward and alone.

"Nawaki," Tsunade said with a cold tone, turning her attention back to her brother. "Tell me exactly what happened today."

"Okay, sis," stammered Nawaki, launching into a detailed explanation of the afternoon's events. It was a complex situation, and it took him a while to explain all the details.

"So that's what happened," Nawaki concluded carefully, adding some positive things about Aizen after his explanation. He nervously glanced at his much taller sister.

"Is that so..." Tsunade rubbed her chin thoughtfully, her previously stern expression softening. Seeing this, Nawaki finally relaxed. He'd been genuinely worried his beautiful but hot-headed and violent sister might confront Aizen without a word.

"According to you, this Aizen is quite talented. Not only does he surpass you in ninjutsu and taijutsu, but he also has a great personality and impressive medical ninjutsu skills at his age. And he even treated you after you got hurt," Tsunade said, giving her brother a curious look.

"Y-yeah," Nawaki stammered, a few beads of sweat forming on his forehead.

"Heh, I told you before not to hang out with that kid from the Sarutobi clan," Tsunade scoffed. While Nawaki's explanation had almost entirely dispelled her hostility towards Aizen, she was still bothered by her brother's injury and needed to vent her frustration. On top of that, she didn't like Sarutobi Hiruzen (the Third Hokage) himself.

She used to think there was something off about him, but due to her busy schedule, she didn't think it was worth getting involved. Now, however, she didn't expect the Sarutobi clan to cause trouble for her brother.

This wasn't a minor issue! If Nawaki hadn't described Aizen as kind and gentle, Tsunade might have been tempted to nip the problem in the bud.

Think about it: someone with potential who harbors hostility towards her? It warranted concern. Furthermore, the trouble stemmed from the idiocy of the Sarutobi clan, which only fueled Tsunade's anger.

"Uh..." Nawaki, realizing his mistake, hung his head in shame."

Alright, that's enough for now. Go to bed," Tsunade ordered with a cold snort. She didn't pursue the Sarutobi connection any further, confident that her brother wouldn't hang out with them again after praising Aizen so much.

"Mmm," mumbled Nawaki in agreement, quickly rushing inside.

"That's not all you have to say!" Tsunade called after him, but he was already gone.

Just a few steps later, Nawaki stopped short, his face twisting in confusion upon hearing Tsunade's voice.

"Is there any connection between Aizen and Ryuken?" Tsunade questioned.

"No, I haven't heard anything about that," Nawaki replied, suspicion lacing his voice. They'd practically shared their entire lives during dinner. If Aizen and Ryuken knew each other, especially considering their Senju bloodline, it would have come up.

"Strange," Tsunade muttered. Ryuken's earlier hostility towards Aizen seemed to imply some unknown connection

...

Meanwhile, Aizen, who did not know that he had been targeted by an inexplicable Senju Ryuken, was silently returning to the road on East Street

"This is frustrating!" Aizen gritted his teeth as he navigated the bustling streets of Konohagakure.

Although treating Senju Nawaki was intentional, it was originally meant for someone else – a pawn in his game. But against someone who threatened him...Their friendly chat at the party today was a mere facade. He was itching to tear him apart! Ultimately, disregarding Tsunade and the Senju clan backing Senju Nawaki...

Even after their competition, Aizen still planned to settle the score with Nawaki. After a period of downplaying the issue, he fully intended to have Senju Nawaki on his operating table.

"I'm still too weak. As a Genin, even with my strong physique and secret techniques, I can barely reach Elite Chunin level. In the end, I'm just insignificant cannon fodder in the ninja world," Aizen lamented internally.

"Starting tomorrow, my kenjutsu training will begin," Aizen declared with newfound determination. Whether for his ambitions or simply to survive in the ruthless ninja world, he had to get stronger, fast. Years flew by in a blur of relentless training, and two years had quietly passed...
