Chapter 151: New Guy
"Okay?" Chance asked her and she just nodded her head.
"Good" Chance pecked her cheek acting like it is her reward for being obedient. He then went to shower and Samantha headed upstairs to get ready for the lunch.
Later they both got ready and Chance was surprised when he saw how clean Samantha's neck was.
All the hickeys he left on her were gone.
Last time too he noticed it but he never questioned her but today his curiosity got the best of him, so he frankly asked her.
"Sam, where are all those hickeys that I left on you?"
Samantha didn't answer him and pulled his shirt collar down, only to see a few hickeys on his neck.
"I'll rather show you where those hickeys go." Samantha proudly smiled at him and got her makeup.
"What the fuck?" Chance stepped back in reflex not letting her touch him.
"What?" Samantha laughed seeing the look on his face.
"I won't let you apply makeup on my skin" Chance refused to hide his hickeys.
"Chance, it would be embarrassing if anyone notices these hickeys" Samantha tried to step closer to him but Chance again moved away.
"It doesn't matter even if they see these hickeys, they are all grown up and I saw multiple hickeys left on them, so it's okay" Chance tried to reason with her.
"But Chance, I am not fine with we flaunting our relationship like this" Samantha didn't give in to his request.
"Sam, please" Chance begged her.
"If you won't let me hide those hickeys then forget touching me, I am not even going to kiss you or let you kiss me" Samantha seriously warned him.
"You got to be kidding me" Chance didn't believe her.
Samantha raised her eyebrows, "Wanna try me?"
Finally, Chance gave up against her and let her hide all these hickeys.
…
David and Mia's Place
Mia was nervously standing near the big dining table while David was arranging the food that just got delivered.
"Why do you look anxious?" David asked his girlfriend, who was clearly worried about something as she looked lost in some deep thoughts.
"Well, I am very excited Chance and Samantha would be joining us and it would be her first time coming here but I am also worried Carol would…"
"Mia, Carol is with some new guy, right?" David interrupted Mia and questioned her in confusion as this was why they decided to host this lunch. Now, there was nothing they had to worry about.
Carol was indeed moving on from Chance.
"Yes, but it has just been a week since they started going out. They are obviously not yet in a relationship. I am worried when Carol will meet Chance again, she will go back to her old ways" Mia shared her fear with him.
After they all came back from San Diego. Abigail and Mia set Carol up on a few dates and she did go on them against her will as she lost the bet after failing to prove that it was Samantha who pushed her in the fishing lake.
Having no choice, Carol went out with a few guys but she didn't like anyone. Coincidentally she herself met a guy at a bar, last week and unexpectedly she actually liked his company.
For the first time in a while, Carol enjoyed being with someone and they continued meeting almost every day in the last one week.
So, when Mia planned this lunch at her home, Carol requested to bring him along with her and Mia didn't refuse as she too wished Carol to have some company or else she will go crazy seeing Samantha with Chance.
Also, they didn't meet this guy yet, therefore she took this as an opportunity to meet him.
David hugged his fiancée, and tried to calm her down, "Just relax. You are unnecessarily worrying about all these things. Today's lunch will be fine" He assured her.
"Hmm, by the way are Chance and Samantha already dating?" Mia excitedly asked him as they didn't have all these updates.
David doesn't share Chance's personal details with anyone else, not even with his fiancée.
"Well, why don't you directly ask them? They would be here in a few minutes" David winked at her.
"Yeah, but what if they are not yet dating, wouldn't it be awkward?" Mia pouted cutely, sharing the problem.
"Chance deserves it. Remember, when we started going out, how much that bastard teased us?" David wanted to have his revenge and after all these years, he finally got the opportunity to do so.
Mia laughed recollecting those memories, "Yeah, he was so cruel, he used to ask me if you are good in bed or are as bad as in baseball"
"Yeah, we should have our revenge" David declared in anger.
"Hey, don't forget it is Samantha's first time visiting us. So, please don't make her feel uncomfortable only to get back at Chance." Mia warned David, who agreed with her.
Also, he never let himself forget who Samantha actually is.
The doorbell rang, David went to invite Abigail and Jack, who were the first couple to join them.
After some greetings, Abigail excitedly exclaimed, "I am so excited about today, we will finally meet Chance, Samantha and Carol's new boyfriend"
"He is not yet her boyfriend, they are just going out" Mia corrected her, before warning, "Please, don't make the two new couples uncomfortable with your questions, we still don't know how much have they progressed in their love lives."
"Wow, Mia is being so sensitive. I am surprised" Jack teased her.
"Yeah, because I want this lunch to go well" Mia warned Jack and the other two people to behave themselves.
In a while, Chance and Samantha too showed up with a Champagne bottle. Chance was dressed in a blue shirt and brown pants, while Samantha wore a white shirt, tucked in her blue jeans with her long hair tied in a ponytail.
"Woah, Champagne. Since, when have you started being so courteous?" David taunted Chance as he never bothers bring any gifts like this.
"Blame her, she is the one, who insisted" Chance pointed at Samantha.
"It is normal to buy something, when you are meeting someone for the first time" Samantha couldn't believe this shameless guy and explained herself.
"Chill Samantha, Chance has always been like this, shameless. When we meet up for anyone's birthday, he always forgets to bring a gift." Mia explained, accepting the Champagne bottle graciously.
"Are you serious?" Samantha looked at Chance in surprise, as she couldn't believe this guy who doesn't buy gifts for his close friends on their birthdays.
"Yeah, but the very next day, I am the one who buys something amazing and expensive for them, making my gift the best out of all" Chance defended himself.
"Yeah, out of guilt" Abigail taunted him.
"Actually, I think he intentionally does this" Jack exclaimed and explained his perspective, "I think, he checks what gifts everyone else gifted and based on that, he buys the best one"
"Wow, nice interpretation of his carelessness" Abigail clapped for her boyfriend who was clearly making up stuff to give some face to Chance.
"Actually, I never wished for you all to find out this truth but since Jack said it out aloud, I am not going to deny it. He is indeed right this is exactly what I do" Chance shamelessly used Jack's help.
"So, shameless" Abigail helplessly shook her head.
"By the way, one small update. Carol has been going out with a guy for one week now. She would be coming here with him." Mia just informed them so that Samantha doesn't feel uncomfortable with the thought of Carol joining them.
"What? That's amazing. Why am I getting this update, now?" Chance was genuinely happy for Carol as he always wished for her to get over him and move on. Now that he got to know she is giving some guy a chance, he was glad.
"It has just been a week. Please all of you don't make a big deal out of it. We are not supposed to make Carol and her companion, uncomfortable" Mia warned everyone, especially Chance as he teases all the new couples a lot.
"So, what is the deal with them?" Jack asked Mia.
"They just met a week ago and for now, they are just going out. They are figuring out what they want" Mia updated him.
"Did you run a background check on him?" Chance asked David, referring to the guy Carol started going out with.
"What background check?" Abigail asked him in surprise.
"Well, to ensure he is a nice guy or not, we need to run a general background check on him" Chance said as a matter-of-fact.
"Yeah, true" Jack agreed with Chance.
"Yeah, after meeting him today, I will check on him" David assured the two men.
"Okay, I know you three are worried about Carol, but please let her be this time"
