My Wife Is A Secret Assassin

Chance shot back-to-back questions at him.

"The woman you like is crueller than you can imagine. Have a seat, it is a long story" Bill calmly said, with a faint smile painted on his lips.

Last time, Bill only informed Chance about Edwin and didn't tell him anything about their plan on how to deal with Excalibur.

It was now that Bill narrated the whole story.

Chance was shocked after knowing what happened.

"You two went to Miami to kill that old woman?" Chance couldn't believe these two people, who targeted a ninety year old woman and put so much efforts for her.

Bill nodded his head.

"Are you guys serious? That woman would die anyway, why waste your time behind her"

"I just explained Samantha's logic"

"Sir, how did you give in to her suggestion? Her logic is ridiculous. Excalibur is not alive and wants to kill you." Chance still believed Excalibur was the one who should have been killed instead of his mother.

"I always give in to her stubbornness as she is never failing to convince me with her logic. If I had not known that you are Grim Reaper then I would have definitely agreed to her other plan of double crossing you. This was the reason why I came to your office that day to share the truth with you as I was scared, I would eventually give in to her idea of protecting Edwin."

"Hmm, basically she is your weakness" Chance concluded.

"Didn't you already figure that out?" Bill smiled at Chance.

"Yeah, but Excalibur is going to be a big problem to you two" Chance declared.

"Don't worry, we will handle him" Bill assured Chance but his words didn't comfort him at all.

"Okay sir. I will update you with whatever information I'll get. It is anyway my organization that would be providing information to Excalibur on you people so there is nothing to worry about" Chance assured him.

"Thank you, Chance" Bill was glad to have a capable man as his son-in-law.

"Goodbye sir" 

Chance then headed home. On the way, he was really very worried as he didn't expect Samantha would let Excalibur live. The thought of Excalibur trying to find information on Bill scared Chance.

He stopped his car to one side of the road and called David.

"Great timing Chance, I was just about to call you. Dude, your woman is very dangerous, she killed…"

"Excalibur's mother instead of him." Chance completed his statement.

"Oh, you knew about it?"

"Just found out. Bill, told me of what happened" Chance deeply sighed.

"Dude, entire Miami is shaking right now after this incident and the cops are doing their best to find out who is behind all of this" David worriedly informed him.

"Don't worry, Samantha and Bill surely wouldn't have left any evidence behind. The cops will only reach a dead-end they are not our problem for now. The real problem is Excalibur" Chance was very serious right now so David kept calm and controlled himself from expressing how cruel he felt Samantha's revenge was.

"What should we do to him?" David asked Chance.

"When he will call you tomorrow, ask him to come to New York and tell him one of our people would receive him at the airport"

"What reason would I give him to call him here?" David didn't understand Chance's plan.

"Just say that like always we will give him the tickets and all the information related to Exterminator as we have all the details and it is not safe to mail them or send it to Miami as he hasn't been active for many years. We need to ensure it is indeed him, so he has to be present here. He will buy this lie. Just give him the details of the driver. If need be, book a flight from Miami to New York."

"Chance, what is your plan?" David was having a bad feeling about it.

"Tomorrow I'll come to New York too" 

This was enough for David to understand what Chance was intending to do.

"Are you sure about it?" David asked for his confirmation.

"Of course, I can't let that monster be a problem to my wife and her father." 

"Should I book a flight for you too?" 

"Yes, book my and Excalibur's flights in a way that we would arrive at the same time and you come to pick us up"

"Got it"

After this call Chance headed home and spent some time with Samantha where she cooked a fake story of her trip and excitedly shared it.

Chance too listened to her story with equal enthusiasm. 

Then he informed her of his one-day business trip to New York.

"What? Why?" Samantha got upset knowing he would be going to New York the next day.

"It is just for one day; I'll be back by tomorrow night itself." Chance assured her.

"Tomorrow is Saturday. Why do you have to work on a weekend?" Samantha was not convinced of Chance's business trip.

He deeply sighed wondering how to convince her as he has to go to New York tomorrow for her sake.

"It is a Saturday that is exactly why it would be convenient to work. Can't go on weekdays"

"Chance, can't you just ask some other employee of yours to go?" Samantha didn't wish for him to leave as she was just back from her trip.

Chance pulled the annoyed woman towards him and made her sit on his lap, caressing her cheek he tried to pacify her, "No Sam, I have to go as I am the CEO."

Samantha was calm for a moment as she had no way to retort that but she didn't wish to part away from Chance. She indeed missed him a lot in the last two days.

Even she was not aware, she was capable of missing someone to this extent. 

She was very happy after avenging Sarah's death and she wanted to spend more time with Chance and celebrate with him.

After a while, Samantha came up with a suggestion, "How about I come with you too?" She excitedly asked him, surprising Chance.

Seeing the shock on his look, Samantha glared at him, "You bastard, are you cheating on me? Is this business trip just an excuse to meet some other woman? Are you already bored of me?"

Chance chuckled when he heard her question, "Sam, you think I would ever cheat on you? And how the fuck can I ever get bored of you?"

"Then why were you so surprised when I suggested I'll join you?"

"I just never expected this from you, that's it. It is a normal reaction."

"Oh. So?" Samantha expectantly looked at him.

Chance didn't answer her question. With Samantha still on his lap, Chance took out his phone and called David.

"Yeah Chance?"

"Have you booked my ticket to New York?"

"Yeah, I am on that"

"Book one for Samantha too"

"What?" David was shocked with the new turn of events.

"Yeah. As I am on this business trip, she too wants to accompany me. She wishes to tour around New York. Book our return tickets in a way that we reach San Diego, early morning on Monday instead of tomorrow night. We will be spending the weekend there." 

Chance looked at Samantha and raised his eyebrows, to confirm if she has any objection with this plan.

"Perfect" She mouthed the word and confirmed she is onboard with this idea.

"Okay, then I'll book accordingly" David meant he would ensure they and Excalibur don't land here at the same time.

"Thank you, I am counting on you Dave"

"Don't worry, I'll manage" David assured him and after the call Chance asked Samantha, "Happy now?"

"Very happy" Samantha hugged his neck and kissed his cheek.

"I can't believe you just travelled and now you are again excited about another trip" Chance smiled at her excitement.

"I love travelling" 

"Cool, pack for two days. Tomorrow once I am done with my work, I'll show you around New York"

"Yayy" Samantha got off him and unpacked the few clothes she carried to Miami and went to put them in the machine while Chance wondered how to manage everything well with Samantha around him.

The next day they both boarded their flight to New York and Samantha exclaimed in surprise, "Business class looks so amazing, I have never travelled in one."

Chance smiled and patted her head, thinking what an amazing actress Samantha is as he was sure for a few important missions she boarded Business Class only.

He was actually right; Samantha was just pretending to stay in the character.

On the other side, David successfully convinced Excalibur to come to New York and he managed to book their flights in a way that, Chance and Samantha would arrive two hours before Excalibur.

Chance's regular driver received them and dropped them at Chance's home.

Samantha was shocked when she saw his beautiful house.
