My System Arrives 3 Years Earlier, But the Deities Haven't Come Yet

Chapter 131: Chapter 131: It Seems You Know Nothing About My Abilities

The meeting room was silent.

Zeng Shen looked toward Tioya, who was about to say something when Jack suddenly spoke up, "Mr. Zeng, perhaps you should first look at the contents and terms in these two documents, then you'll naturally understand."

"It seems this proposal might not be favorable for me," Zeng Shen squinted, deciding not to question further, and began reading the documents carefully.

The documents detailed which major companies and large-scale farms in the U.S. would supply the crops and meat, eggs, and fish he needed if they cooperated. It also specified the price per ton, below market rates, breach penalties, and compensation for delayed shipments, all in detail. They even noted that only 1% of the supply price per ton would be paid as a deposit, with the rest to be settled a year later.

Zeng Shen would have been pleased to sign the agreement if the documents contained only these terms. However, when he reached the last page and saw Article 250, his mood soured instantly.

[Article 250: Upon signing the agreement, Zeng Shen must immediately disclose the location of the Green Dew Emerald Mine and must not inform any third party. The mining rights will be fully managed by the U.S., and Zeng Shen will receive only 10% of the profits from the sale of the mined resources.]

"This Article 250 is the proposal you mentioned?" Zeng Shen slammed the documents onto the round table, his gaze sweeping across everyone present, finally resting on Tioya.

Tioya met his gaze, "Mr. Zeng, this is the maximum I could negotiate for you. Ten percent is enough to ensure your descendants live comfortably."

"You think I'm angry about this?" Zeng Shen sneered, "I can accept ten percent of the mining profits, but as for revealing the mine's location, it must wait a year until I'm ready."

"Mr. Zeng, we urgently need the Green Dew Emerald for further research and development. I hope you understand," Jack said.

"Understand you? Can you understand me when I say that once I reveal the mine's location, these agreements might not hold?" Zeng Shen replied.

Jack was at a loss for words.

Tioya raised her head, "Mr. Zeng, I can assure you the agreements will be valid."

"You're just a puppet; your assurances mean nothing," Zeng Shen said bluntly.

A flash of anger crossed Tioya's eyes, "Mr. Zeng, mind your tone."

"Heh," Zeng Shen chuckled coldly, standing up, "If we can't have a proper discussion, then let's end this here. We'll talk when you've thought things through."

With that, Zeng Shen pushed his chair back and headed for the door, followed by Lin Keke, who reached to open it.

But halfway through, she froze.

At the doorway stood over a dozen female soldiers in military uniforms, armed with rifles, lined up.

Zeng Shen stepped past Lin Keke, opening the door fully, about to step out when the female soldier who had escorted him earlier blocked his way, saying, "Mr. Zeng, Miss Lin, please return to your seats."

"Haha," Zeng Shen laughed, turning with a mocking expression to the people at the round table, finally locking eyes with Tioya, "Tioya, you've truly disappointed me."

"The interests of the U.S. come first," Tioya's voice was cold, like a stranger, "If you refuse to disclose the mine's location immediately and sign these agreements, you won't leave here."

"Heh, it seems I underestimated your determination in the face of profit," Zeng Shen chuckled at himself, his gaze coldly sweeping across everyone present, "But do you think this can stop me from leaving?"

"Hmph," General Bayard stood, sneering at Zeng Shen, "Do you think you can leave once you're here, yellow-skinned weakling?"

"It's not about what I think; it's about what you think," Zeng Shen retorted, staring at General Bayard, then sighed, "This charade ends now."

"Haha, what trick do you think you can play now, yellow-skinned boy? Hypnosis?" Tront stood, laughing disdainfully, pointing to the earpiece, "We brought these hypnosis wave disruptors specifically to prevent you from silently hypnotizing us."

"Is that all? It seems you know nothing about my abilities," Zeng Shen sneered, snapping his fingers to activate his divine control, then smirked contemptuously at the soldiers at the door, "Stand aside."

Instantly, the soldiers who had blocked the door lowered their weapons and stepped aside, clearing a path.

The people at the round table, wide-eyed, wanted to pursue him, but Zeng Shen tossed a glass bottle with a slight gap onto the table.

The liquid inside quickly spread across the table, releasing a sweet aroma into the air.

In no time, they all inhaled it.

Instantly, their expressions turned dazed; their consciousness wavered, leaving them sitting or standing in place, helplessly watching Zeng Shen enter the elevator.

After about fifteen minutes, they snapped back to reality.

"Where is he?"

"It seems we watched him leave."

"What?!"

"Why did we let him leave like that?"

"Hypnosis! We were hypnotized."

"Tront, you fool, it's not hypnosis; it was that potion bottle," Gubatwei scolded.

Beside them, Tioya took the empty bottle wrapped in cloth from a soldier. She examined the label and said, "This illegal drug, called Obedience Potion, once opened, quickly disperses in the air, making those who inhale it..."

Tioya didn't finish her sentence.

Everyone seemed to understand what Zeng Shen's so-called instant hypnosis really was.

However, they didn't know that Zeng Shen initially controlled them using his divine control ability.

The potion in the bottle wasn't powerful enough to control people immediately upon opening.

It required some time.

Under Zeng Shen's divine control, the control time and duration were unexpectedly accelerated.

Tront looked at Tioya, who was quietly observing the bottle, and said, "General Tioya, I hope you can immediately order your soldiers to lock down the city and quickly recapture him. Also, list him on the U.S. wanted list and issue a notice to the media."

Tioya sneered, setting the bottle down, "Under what grounds should I list him on the wanted list? Aren't you afraid that if you push him too hard, he'll reveal the mine's location to Daxia? Plus, you searched for him for five days before, and he deliberately appeared in your cameras daily, yet you couldn't find him. Now that he's completely gone, do you think I have the capability to bring him back?"

General Bayard, beside Tront, stood and shouted at Tioya, "Tioya, what do you mean by this?"

"A city lockdown is something I won't do. If you want to, do it yourself. As for listing him on the wanted list, Tront, if you think it's okay, handle it yourself," Tioya replied coldly, her voice tinged with a trace of unspoken resentment at being directed around.
