Chapter 337: "This is Su Han's dad, my husband." (1)
Something occurred to him, and Su Han suddenly looked up and looked at Su Ran solemnly. “So you two really did……”
“Yes, this morning.” Su Ran responded to Su Han. She wasn’t going to hide it from him.
“See, here. Real marriage certificate.” Having said that, Su Ran pulled out a read booklet to show to Su Han.
Su Ran couldn't help but smiled when she saw how much her son wanted to look at it but also looking resentful.
The very next second, looking at Su Han, Su Ran looked seriously all over again.
“Son.”
“What?”
“Nothing much. I just want to let you know that even though the original reason for your dad, uh, Lu Shao, and I to get marriage was for you but, in the end, you were all of the reasons,” said Su Ran.
Su Ran wanted to say that so Su Han would not feel pressured.
Granted, part of what she said was true as well.
Upon hearing that, Su Han was taken aback a little, seemingly somewhat surprised.
Looking over at Su Ran and struggling a little, Su Han’s lips parted and, finally, he couldn’t help but asked, “Do you like him?”
“Hmm… a little bit, I guess,” said Su Ran after thinking about it some.
“Just a little bit?”
“Maybe more in the future,” said Su Ran with a smile.
Lu Shao was, after all, a very nice guy.
Having said that, Su Ran noticed that her son seemed relieved.
“Truth is… I think he’s alright,” said Su Han, a little bit blue.
“Puuf……” Su Ran couldn't help but chuckled when she saw that her son was more disturbed that she was.
“I mean it.”
“Right, right, right. My son is the best, alright?” said Su Ran as she gave Su Han a feigned glare.
“Regardless, whether he’s nice or whether I like him is not what you need to worry about right now.” Su Ran suddenly glared at her son and said in a “vicious” way, “Now, get on with your homework!”
“Oh.” Alright. He really shouldn’t have use that as an excuse. Now he had to pretend that he was working on his homework till midnight……
Su Han regretted a little.
Regardless, he still docilely picked up his backpack and headed into his room.
Su Ran finally felt relieved after her son had returned to his room.
Lu Shao walked inside at this moment.
“Did you have a hard time looking for parking?” Su Ran asked Lu Shao, concerned. It felt that he had been gone for a while.
“Mmm,” Lu Shao mumbled. There was, however, a smile that he could not wipe off his face.
Su Ran nodded after she heard him.
What she didn’t know was that Lu Shao was back a few minutes ago. It so happened that Su Ran and Su Han were having that conversation.
A little bit of fondness?
That was enough to make Mr. Lu feel ecstatic.
“That’s normal for an old district like this,” said Su Ran before she pulled out a pair of slippers for Lu Shao from the shoe closet.
Of course, it was still the pair that she had bought for Su Han previously.
Ever since Lu Shao had worn it the other day, this pair of new slipped had been “abandoned” by Su Han and now it was Lu Shao’s.
“Where is he?”
“Went to work on his homework.”
Upon hearing that, Lu Shao seemed to be happy at Su Han being caught in his own lies.
Turning toward Su Ran, he asked, “What do you want for dinner?”
Dinner?
Su Ran would no longer blurt out dapanji like she once did.
Su Ran frowned after she checked the time.
“Su Han still had homework to work on. Let’s just eat something simple at home.”
“Alright.” Lu Shao smiled when he heard the word “home” and nodded.
“What would you like to eat?”
“Hmm, let me see what we have.”
Su Ran walked over to the kitchen.
She opened up the refrigerator. They had in there four steamed buns, a carton of eggs, and a jar of grocery store pickled vegetables…... and that was everything.
Nothing unexpected but, suddenly, Su Ran felt embarrassed.
“Em, perhaps we can order takeout,” said Su Ran as she turned to look at Lu Shao while slamming the refrigeration door shut.
“It’s fine. I can whip something up. What do we have at home?” asked Lu Shao.
“Nothing.”
As both she and her son’s cooking was limited to making the simplest of all food edible, Su Ran truly had nothing at home.
