My Movie Queen

"So what do you think?" Yanna asked, full of confidence about her cooking.

"Mmm.. It's good," Vanessa replied, continuing to eat.

Yanna felt proud as she watched Vanessa eat deliciously. After eating, the two cuddled on the sofa until they fell asleep.

The next day, Yanna received a message from Melody, asking her to go to Rose Hotel where she would meet a director who wants to cast her in a specific role in a movie drama. Upon receiving Melody's message, she also received a warning from Melody saying it might be a trap set by Set, so she already talked to Fiona ahead, and the meeting was at the Rose Hotel owned by Fiona's family.

Yanna smirked and sent a message to Maya, who had been silently observing Set's side for a while now.

Vanessa sat quietly, drinking her tea and browsing social media, sitting comfortably. When Yanna took her tea and put it back on the table, Vanessa was confused. Before she could ask, she was being held by Yanna and was put on her lap. Yanna kissed her on the cheeks.

"Alright, stop it. You're too excited. Mind telling me what's going on first?" Vanessa said, pushing Yanna's face softly.

"Set is making his move now, and I'm just happy that soon the root of the problem will be solved," Yanna said without letting go of Vanessa.

"Although everything is moving the way you wanted, don't let your guard down. If you need help, just say it. I can still help you behind the scenes. Just so you know," Vanessa said.

"Yes, honey, I know," Yanna replied, kissing Vanessa's hair.

"Then maybe it's time to tell Vanessa my own story. Will she think I'm weird? Will she still love me? Will she accept me for who I am?" Yanna thought with worries and questions.

Vanessa looked up at Yanna, seeing her lost in thought with worry on her face. She thought Yanna had become unsure, so she twisted her body a little and put her arms around Yanna's neck. Yanna looked at Vanessa following her movements but still immersed in thought.

Vanessa kissed Yanna, then asked, "What did you think?"

Yanna was awakened by the kiss and heard Vanessa's question. She smiled and shook her head. Then she said, "I'm going to tell you something about myself after my trouble with Set is resolved. Are you interested?"

Vanessa looked intently at Yanna's eyes. "As long as it's about you, honey, I'm interested."

"Since when did you learn to become a sweet talker? Haha," Yanna chuckled. It's rare to hear sweet words from Vanessa. Then she asked, "So, do you like the me now or the Yanna before we met?"

"What kind of question is that?" Vanessa started. 

Before we met, I don't actually know you that much. I just heard rumors about a new artist being hacked on the internet. But at that time, I was pretty busy to even care about other things around me. You haven't seen me before?"

"I had seen you twice from afar before. I just don't know if you know it, though. But… how should I say it… I feel nothing back then. You used to be like any other stranger to me. However, when I met you again at the survival show, I felt like there's something different about you which makes me curious. So I think I like the you whom I got to know at the survival show," Vanessa explained. Then she felt uneasy about what Yanna might think. So she asked, "Are you disappointed?"

Yanna felt happy at the thought that Vanessa loves her and not the Yanna before she came into this world. She shook her head as an answer to Vanessa's question. Then tears started to slowly fall down, and she said, "I'm not disappointed. On the contrary, I felt good knowing that you took an interest in me out of all the better people around you. I'm so lucky to meet you."

Vanessa wiped Yanna's tears. Although she didn't understand why Yanna looked kind of emotional, she could tell Yanna's current mood, so she could only assure her and wait for Yanna to tell her whatever was bothering her. However, at the same time, seeing Yanna's emotional side made her happy. She wanted to know more about her lover after all.

"Honey, you're wrong. There's no one better than you in this world for me," Vanessa chuckle and hugged Vanessa tightly. "I love you, Vanessa."

Vanessa smiled sweetly. The feeling of being loved and cared for made her intoxicated. "I love you too, Yanna."

Vanessa looked at Yanna's face sleeping on her side, thinking about what Yanna said earlier. She believed that Yanna could handle Set, but she was still worried that something unexpected might come since Set is part of a wealthy family, and such families won't allow a stain on their name. She needed to make sure of Yanna's safety and be ready to deal with anyone who might try to harm her. She couldn't let Yanna keep asking for help from others.
