My Movie Queen: Chapter 66
"Heh... propose if you have the courage," Vanessa responded. "I'll send you my schedule. By the way, what role did you plan to play?" she continued.
"Haha, alright... I want to play a villain," Yanna replied.
"A villain? Have you thought about it?"
"Yes, I want to be a villain," Yanna said. She really liked the character of the villain - smart, strong, straightforward, but unreasonable when it came to love. However, the villain's backstory made her personality more rational.
"Alright, I hope you get the role," Vanessa said.
Vanessa and Yanna talked for a while longer until Melody came to get Yanna. Vanessa was then called by the staff for a photoshoot. Melody had already called a taxi, and they went to the venue where the audition was going to happen. Melody took out a baseball cap and a black mask and gave them to Yanna.
Yanna was confused. "What are these for?"
"Just put them on. People might recognize you, and your previous reputation is bad. They might say bad things about you if they recognize you. If that happens, it may affect your performance later. You need to focus, okay?" Melody explained.
"I understand," Yanna smiled gently, appreciating Melody's reasoning. She didn't say anything and just followed Melody.
Yanna thought she had made the right decision in bringing Melody to her side and hiring her as her manager. Just look at her performance, and you will see that this person is really dedicated and capable of her work.
There was a long silence between them, and seeing Yanna so relaxed, Melody didn't know what to say. Yanna saw that Melody looked agitated and giggled. She patted Melody's shoulder.
"Melody, relax. I've already hidden my face, and don't worry, I'm prepared. You should trust and believe in me, you know."
"You've only spent a few hours preparing for this audition. It's normal to be nervous. But look, you're so relaxed that I became worried."
"Haha, I'm the one who will face them. Besides, didn't you say that they only released the manuscript for this audition yesterday? It means those people's only advantage is a few hours ahead of me, but it does not determine that they can pass this audition easily. It still depends on understanding and skills in acting."
"Haa... then you should be more prepared because some big actors are going to audition too."
"Yeah, I also expected that. This book is really good. It makes me feel excited somehow," Yanna squinted her eyes with excitement.
"By the way, don't provoke them."
"Do I seem like that kind of person to you? Just ready your camera because even if I don't provoke them, they may provoke me."
"Yes, don't worry. We're here. Are you ready?" Melody asked.
"Yeah, I'm ready."
Melody and Yanna got out of the taxi and went inside the building. As soon as they arrived, they saw a lot of people. Yanna immediately got her number and waited with Melody by her side.
People around became curious about Yanna, but their attention was soon diverted by someone else—a fiery-haired actor walking proudly with a smirk adorning his face. Those around were in awe of his appearance, some admiring him while a few stepped back, clearly not fond of the actor.
Eric, a renowned actor from Idol dramas, was wealthy and carried an air of arrogance. He disregarded the line and confidently entered the room as soon as the others exited. He assumed that his background and connections would be enough to secure him the role.
"Heh... Does he think his background and connections will work here?" Yuu said as she walked towards her own place in the line. Yuu, known for her straightforward personality and detest for those who use their connections, was famous for her action movies and easily approachable.
Passerby, standing nearby, overheard Yuu's comment and added, "He is also talented."
"This time the audition is very strict; only those with true talent and skills will pass," Yuu stated, glancing towards a person wearing a black mask and cap.
Yuu recognized the person behind the disguise, noticing their beautiful eyes despite the effort to hide their face. Unlike before, however, the person no longer exuded any gloomy or negative energy. Instead, they seemed to have changed, radiating confidence just as Yuu remembered the first time they met —positive, confident, and kind.
Yanna felt someone staring at her and followed the gaze to Yuu, with whom she had worked on her first project, an idol drama. Yanna smiled and nodded at Yuu, forming a favorable impression based on her memories—a strong and assertive individual, unlike Eric.
