Chapter 19
Vanessa became conflicted, and Yanna noticed her worry since there was no camera around. Vanessa will unconsciously become a little more open in expressing her emotions, not as cold as before. They were both not aware of the small cameras yet, just like the other teams.
Yanna thought that Vanessa was still thinking about the accident. She walked to Vanessa's side and tried to get her attention. Vanessa looked at her, feeling nervous, excited, shy, and worried.
"Vanes, about earlier, you know in movies and dramas, sometimes something like that tends to happen between friends or sisters," Yanna said, cracking Vanessa's emotional mood as she listened to Yanna's first sentence.
"We are actresses, we per—"
"That's my first kiss," Vanessa coldly interrupted, understanding what Yanna was about to say.
"Oh- haha. It's my first too," Yanna awkwardly replied.
Vanessa and Yanna became quiet again. Yanna took a deep breath and became serious.
"Then tell me, what worries you? Is it because of that or something else? You said this afternoon you'd tell me something."
Vanessa calmed down after a while and carefully chose her words to express her worries from earlier in the afternoon, aside from romantically liking Yanna
"I- Yanna, maybe you didn't notice, but I feel that... I- I'm starting to get possessive of you or something along those lines. I know it's wrong, but when Alice gets closer to you, I... I get jealous. I'm sorry."
Vanessa tried her best to be straightforward, but her face turned red as she spoke, and her softer side became more visible to Yanna.
Seeing Vanessa like this made Yanna relax. She became more gentle and warm to Vanessa as she held her hand with a smile.
"So, that's what worries you? Is that the reason why you treated me coldly earlier?"
"I- I didn't mean it."
"Vanes, I feel the same."
Vanessa looked into Yanna's eyes. She could see herself in those obsidian eyes, with twinkling lights like a vast universe full of wonder, and that universe only saw her existence.
She became clearer about her feelings. She liked this person, the Alpha who she had only known for a few days and nights, but she made her feel like she was the most important in just a short time.
She doesn't see her as Vanessa the movie queen or the successful businesswoman, or just omega or a woman with a lot of resources but just Vanessa as she is.
She could feel and see it. Yanna only saw her as Vanessa, but even so, it still scared her and made her worry to like this Alpha.
'Maybe being friends or sisters is enough. I'll just keep this feeling to myself. This way, I don't need to expect anything.'
She closed her eyes and leaned on Yanna's shoulder.
"How so? Do you think it's normal?"
Yanna looked at her and gently combed her beautiful, soft white hair.
"Being possessive and jealous is something natural between friends and siblings. We don't want their attention to fall on others because we think they may forget or ignore us. When I was a kid, I liked getting attention or being praised by my friends, but when they saw someone better than me, I would get jealous. It's natural, nothing to worry about, silly girl."
Yanna reminisced about her past as a kid and smiled. It was such a rare moment of childhood.
Along with the memories, she also saw 'her' memory and started to feel sad. The memory continued to play in her mind, and she became emotional. She could feel a great emotion in those memories.

In a small orphanage full of children, 'she' once accidentally saw one of the orphan kids die from sickness. They couldn't do anything. Their orphanage was poor and far from the City Hospital, and they didn't have a car or a nurse around at that time.
The girl who died was the youngest in the orphanage, and sometimes 'she' would get jealous because 'she' also wanted to play with her. But 'she' couldn't -- only the Sisters could. At that time, 'she' didn't understand anything yet, not until 'she' saw her lying motionless in her bed, with the three Sisters who took care of them around her bed, crying.
When 'she' suddenly opened the door, they were shocked. One of the Sisters ran towards 'her' and carried 'her' back to 'her' room.
Sister Lanny talked to 'her' and said that Jenny, their youngest, needed to sleep and rest.
'She' almost believed it if 'she' didn't hear them talk. 'She' heard Jenny cry, which made 'her' slowly open the door and watch silently while covering 'her' mouth.
Jenny was having a hard time breathing. Her tears slowly fell from her eyes. The Sisters tried to give her first aid while the others tried to call for help, but no one answered the phone.
Jenny weakly opened her eyes, looked at the door, and struggled to weakly smile at 'her'. 'She' could feel that Jenny was ready to stop struggling at that point.
Jenny closed her eyes with a smile and died. They all cried in the orphanage, especially 'her' and made a decision that made her struggle until her last breath.

Vanessa looked at Yanna, not hearing anything from her for a while now. She saw Yanna's eyes closed while tears kept flowing down her cheeks.
She was shocked and tried to call out to her, but Yanna didn't respond. Vanessa shook her shoulders, but still got no response. Yanna's tears kept flowing as she bit her lower lip.
Vanessa understood that maybe Yanna had fallen into a deep memory that wasn't good because of her. She knew very well that everyone has wounds inside that sometimes make them better or worse.
Instead of waking her up, she hugged her. She buried Yanna's head in her neck, put her arms around her, and gently stroked her back to calm her down, all while looking at the night sky.
