Chapter 77: Back to the Empire
Yun Jhin sighed as he felt the formation core inside of him starting to dissipate, after he went to the four locations and lived in them for atleast 10 days each the formation disappeared by itself just like it was supposed to, Yun Jhin was surprised by that thinking that the Emperor put up some hidden mechanic inside of the formation but it seemed he was wrong.
After he got attacked by the eye-less man Yun Jhin sat cross-legged near the exit in stealth and now that the formation disappeared from his body he was ready to leave.
Yun Jhin exited the underwater palace easily as the world started to flip and rotate around him, after a little while he was back into the ocean and he started to swim back to the shore.
Black Blood looked as Yun Jhin exited the danger zone immediately after the allocated time passed and he was quite surprised, did he had some difficulties during his last training as he didn't stay more, or did he get what he needed from the location faster?
Black Blood decided he observed for enough, he disappeared from where he stood and appeared in front of Yun Jhin, Yun Jhin put on a startled expression on his face but then he made a small bow as he said:
"Oh, it's senior Black Blood, did the Emperor sent you to take me to the capital after I finished the elemental trials?"
Black Blood nodded his head at him, he didn't explain to him that he followed him around during the training, who knew what reaction he would have after he unlocked more of his memories? Most God Realm experts were eccentric fellows, who knew if some of his former life traits already entered his mind?
Black Blood engulfed Yun Jhin with his aura as he started to fly at quick speeds, zooming directly to the capital location, even though he was a Sage Realm expert around the 2nd to 3rd stage he still needed a bit of time to get to the capital from the ocean, it took him almost 3 days to travel to the capital with Yun Jhin in tow, he could have gone faster but he thought that Yun Jhin's body wouldn't be able to handle the true speed of a Sage Realm cultivator.
Yun Jhin meditated the whole journey and only opened his eyes after they reached the capital, if he had the purified salt he would have immediately gone into seclusion to refine his four elements pill, but now he would have to go to the Emperor to report to him and ask for some salt...
Black Blood did ask him if he wanted to rest first but Yun Jhin insisted that he wanted to meet the Emperor to give a report, he also hinted that he unlocked some new memories that could be useful to the empire.
Black Blood didn't dare to disagree when he understood the fact that Yun Jhin's new memories could help the Empire so he immediately went with him to the palace then ushered him into the throne room.
The Emperor just stood there, Sumo Tiancheng looked like quite an average middle-aged man but inside he was a schemer of great proportions, The Emperor looked down at Yun Jhin and Black Blood then rose from his throne and walked to them with open arms as he said:
"Ah, you have returned junior Yun Jhin might I know if your traveling went well?"
The Emperor didn't even mention Lulu and Yun Jhin didn't find it surprising, she should have had an item that was linked to her soul, and the moment she died both the Emperor who installed the formation cored inside her and her mother would know.
The Emperor was fishing for information with his question and Yun Jhin gave it to him in the form of a soul message, the Emperor's eyes narrowed then a big smile appeared on his face, Yun Jhin sent him some beneficial information for the God Realm, even though it wasn't enough for him to even see a breakthrough in 20,000 thousand years, it was still progress for him!
This type of information made the Emperor realize that Yun Jhin's memories didn't come from an ordinary God Realm expert, that surely meant his cultivation was above his and he might even have been an advanced God Realm practitioner that might have even stood around the 7th to 8th stage!
There was both greed and respect in the Emperor's eyes, after all, very few reincarnated cultivators would be able to unlock their memories after their soul went through the cycle of reincarnation as Yun Jhin did, most of the time their memories would be tightly sealed by something that not even they could understand.
Yun Jhin wanted to ask the Emperor for some salt but the Emperor asked him something with a strange look on his face before he could inquire about the thing he needed:
"My wife would like to know how her daughter died, she should come soon so spit out whatever you want to say before she arrives."
Yun Jhin went directly to the subject and asked for some salt, but the Emperor's face turned strange again as he said:
"You are in luck considering there is some salt in the Empire's borders, but you are also unlucky at the same time considering that the salt is in my wife's hands, I mean she would have surely given it to you if you returned with Lulu alive, but now you would have to give her something equal in exchange, and let me tell you, my wife won't accept information, you should know what she wants."
The Emperor got back to the throne and told Black Blood that he was dismissed, the Empress appeared in the throne room and her eyes immediately went to Yun Jhin, there wasn't hatred or anger in her eyes, but they were filled mostly with disappointment, both in Yun Jhin and her late daughter.
Yun Jhin bowed to the Empress and her voice reverberated in the palace:
"Yun Jhin tell me how did my daughter die?"
Yun Jhin didn't lie or beat around the bush as he said:
"I and your esteemed daughter ventured deep into the Earth elemental danger zone, I wanted to get a herb but due to my low cultivation base I wasn't able to reach it, Lulu wanting to impress me decided that she would go to harvest the herb, unfortunately, a toxic scorpion was using the herb as bait and Lulu was killed... Her last words for me was to run as her life disappeared from her eyes, I knew she was done for so I ran away, most likely the poison from the scorpion already done her in before her eyes even started to lose their light. I'm sorry your highness, I couldn't protect her."
The Empress shook her head a few times as she sighed deeply and looked at Yun Jhin, again and again, to make sure he wasn't lying, but Yun Jhin was technically speaking the truth while just omitting a few facts so the Empress could only say that he was genuinely telling the truth.
She frowned as she looked at him and said:
"I have heard from my husband that you want salt from the underwater temple, I'm the possession of half an urn of salt and I can trade it for some of your 'services', my oldest daughter should be around your cultivation base and she just turned 34 this year, you can meet her near outside of my garden and I can take you to her right now, what do you say?"
Yun Jhin beat around the bush with Lulu as he wanted her to have more uses, but her eldest daughter wasn't that useful, her bloodline was inferior so was her talent and the Empress only hoped that she would give birth to a good descendant using Yun Jhin's bloodline, there was also the fact that she wanted to rope him in her faction using marriage and the child between the two.
The Emperor didn't say anything, on the surface, the marriage between factions would create an inner peace between the factions that hasn't been attained up till now, the marriage and child between Yun Jhin and her eldest daughter was something that the Emperor didn't reject, atleast he wouldn't be cuckolded by someone of the younger generation.
Yun Jhin seemingly thought about it for a few minutes before he reluctantly nodded his head and took the Empress's hand. The Empress gave him a smile then they disappeared, The Emperor looked at the spot that they sat in and sighed:
"Let's hope this thing will go better, the inner turmoil in the Empire would finally be fixed if this goes well, atleast our subordinates will see it as an auspicious thing."
The Emperor and the Empress were technically from two different factions after they were unable to conceive a child together, that was what the masses thought, but it wasn't fully true, the Emperor was just a little bit mad that the Empress went ahead and cuckolded him, in the first place, the Emperor didn't even have any concubines, but he took a few thousand of them in after he found out she cheated on him.
Yun Jhin appeared in the Empress's garden and he was quite impressed by it, it was quite artistic and there was also a formation under the earth that protected it, Yun Jhin could tell that if the Empress controlled it she might even be able to fight it out with a 6th stage God Realm cultivator for a while.
Yun Jhin was then led to the Empress's daughter by Fairy Song, the Empress returned to her gazebo but her eyes never looked away from Yun Jhin's figure as she muttered slowly to herself:
"Let's see if your descendants would be good, hopefully, this good for nothing daughter of mine would have her use now, if I didn't put that formation on her stopping her from having a child up till now she would have been impregnated countless times..."
Fairy Song took him to a building that was around 20 kilometers away from the flower garden and then left him alone when he entered it, but before she left, she told him the name of the Empress's oldest daughter and some of her quirks, she also gave him a quick wink before she disappeared from his view and senses.
The building wasn't that big, it could house up to four persons and it had two bedrooms, a bath, and a kitchen. Most cultivators would forsake such things as they lived based on the ki of heaven and earth, not needing to eat sleep, take baths, or have any other needs.
It seemed that the person that lived here had quite the peculiar temperament.
Out of the bedroom came out a woman that could be called a half-mature beauty, her bosom wasn't either big or small, it was around the perfect size, her legs were long and her pink cherry lips invited one in, she had deep red hair tied in a ponytail behind her back and she wore nothing but a bathrobe currently.
She waved her finger in Yun Jhin's direction and gave him a slutty smile her bathrobe was slowly falling from her sexy body as she retracted into the bedroom.
Yun Jhin eyes narrowed as she disappeared into the bedroom, it seemed the Empress's oldest daughter was quite experienced in the ways of men and women, she could even be called a vixen, unfortunately for her, those things wouldn't work on Yun Jhin, but due to the things he needed he would have to do as she wanted.
Yun Jhin slowly walked to the bedroom and put his hand on the handle of the door to the room and turned it, he would have to impregnate this woman and that meant quite a bit of sex, after all, the higher the cultivation base the harder for one to have a child, this combined with their pure bloodline made the imperial couple unable to have any children.
But to Yun Jhin only meant one day and night of sex, he wasn't at that point of purity and high cultivation base.
The door slowly opened as Yun Jhin laid his eyes on the woman that sat with her legs spread open on the bed, she was readily inviting him to take action and Yun Jhin considered it to be rude to refuse her invitation.
Sophia gave Yun Jhin another slutty smile as the door behind him closed as she said:
"Come for me, hopefully in more ways than one."
