My Journey to Godhood as a Caterpillar

As Yun Jhin's body went through one of the most important evolutions in his life, his soul wandered around his former lives experiences, back when he was a small kid, how he easily killed adults that thought he would be an easy target, how one time his reincarnation led him into a bad position and he was *redacted*, as he reincarnated he was both a man and a woman in the past but he realized that he preferred being a man after all of his memories fused, he just felt freer in a way that he couldn't explain.

The cocoon inside Sun Sisheng's head was growing into a deep blueish purple color as it started to leak green fluids his evolution skipped through some of the other caterpillar forms so these green leaking fluids were representing his liquified body remains that he had to excrete, they were the extra things that he didn't need, with the help of the evolutionary process he was shedding them, reaching the peak of his life form.

Yun Jhin's main body was moving continuously inside the cocoon as it evolved, his form was changing into something far greater than he was before, something that would help him to achieve his objectives inside the Long Empire.

As he slowly evolved inside his cocoon, he reminisced to let the time go by faster, suddenly he was back in one of his former reincarnations, the one where he was the evil emperor, the previous one before he became a caterpillar.

Yun Jhin thought that this was one of his most effective reincarnations but he still knew he didn't do enough.

A man with silver hair who wore a dark cloak was sitting on a throne made of bones of different species besides him stood a woman that kneeled and she was *redacted* after the woman finished she got up bowed and left with a smile on her face. Yun Jhin was bored, while he was entertained by one of his concubines he waited for his subordinates to get him any news of fortuned constitutions.

By time went by and no one came, 10 years, 100 years, 1000 years, finally some news came by but it was quite late, the fortune constitution brat already grew up into an overlord but Yun Jhin smiled as he got up from the throne of bones, his dark boots left footprints into the bones as they caved in under his weight, giant bones refined into a throne with special god ki, and they were destroyed under his fleshly bodyweight alone.

As Yun Jhin walked he suddenly disappeared to only appear near a tavern at a crossroad, there he slowly walked inside, all the people who saw his robe and his face immediately bowed down to the ground while shaking in fear, only one man who drank some cheap ale at the bar didn't say anything.

As he continued to drink Yun Jhin observed the man's body, he was scrawny and he wore peasant clothes, he had a shabby katana tied to his waist and his face was dirty with mud, he had a stalk of an unknown plant in his mouth as he drank the ale some of it dropped on his clothes dirtying them further.

Yun Jhin slowly got near the bar and said:

"Don't you know to greet your seniors? Kaze Camino."

Camino laughed a bit and he started coughing as the ale went on the wrong pipe, then he hit his chest a few times and said:

"Yun Jhin from the throne of blood, what are you doing here? I haven't offended you."

Yun Jhin smiled to him as he waved his hands in the air and said:

"No you didn't, but you didn't come to pay respects either when you advanced to the god realm, don't you think you are a little too presumptuous?"

The man chuckled as he finished his ale and unsheathed his katana:

"Presumptuous for not licking your ass your highness?"

Yun Jhin laughed and said:

"I like your mouth, it's pretty sharp."

Suddenly a spatial tear appeared near Camino's mouth almost tearing it apart:

"I want to have it on my wall."

Yun Jhin's smile turned up as he said that then his arm directly went into the void as he took out a fully dark sword, the sheath and the body of the blade were both dark, as he unsheathed it you could see that the edge of the blade had flame-like patterns on it, it was a katana as long as Camino's.

Yun Jhin thrust his sword forward immediately impaling Camino and then slashed the man's katana away throwing it away making it embedded into the wall behind Camino and killing the scared barman.

Yun Jhin shook his head as he looked at Camino:

"1st stage vs 9th stage, not a fight you can take pipsqueak, thanks for the fortuned constitution."

A mouth opened inside Yun Jhin's palm as it started devouring Camino's frozen body after his katana was thrown out of his grasp, his body was infiltrated with darkness energy from Yun Jhin's katana which paralyzed him, as the mouth inside Yun Jhin's hand ate at him both his soul and body were tortured due to the pain of being eaten alive!

Even though he was paralyzed he could still feel everything his senses were amplified during this!

Yun Jhin shook his head as his body was fully consumed and looked down at the mouth in his hand that licked it's 'lips' then closed transforming his palm into a normal-looking fair palm. He looked around himself and saw a wasteland, an area around him for millions of kilometers was destroyed, the earth was scared and lava was ready to shoot out.

Yun Jhin shook his head as he teleported away and like time itself was reverted things started to go backward, everything was as before Yun Jhin came but the only difference was that no one remembered Camino coming to the inn, nor that he existed!

Yun Jhin returned to his throne of bones as he stood down, another concubine ready to serve him.

Yun Jhin scoffed as he looked at the man then backhanded her killing her instantly as she transformed into dust and muttered:

"No transformation, after so many fortuned constitutions? 999, I'm running out of time."

His face started to scrunch up as it started to seemingly dry up, he looked older in an instant as his silver hair lost it's luster and became a dry white, his hands started to tremble as wrinkles appeared on them, his muscles dried up and his back bent he coughed a mouthful of blood as he cursed:

"Oh you darn time, I thought I could have attained eternal life already!"

His hand returned into the void as an infant appeared in his arms, suddenly he plunged his hand in his chest and took out its young heart he looked at it for no more than a nanosecond as his mouth opened and he gulped it up with gusto as it was seemingly the best food in the universe. He coughed up a bit as he said:

"*Sigh* even though this would give me another hour, I cannot die yet!"

His skin returned to its peak as his muscles build up again, he left the throne behind as he shouted to the skies:

"I WON'T DIE YET, ETERNAL LIFE IS MINE, YOU SHALL SEE YOU DAMN WORLD!"

But in the end, he failed, he was now alone, as he ate more and more infant hearts to extend his lifespan forcefully he realized that his sins accumulated, all his subordinates and concubines died due to the retaliation of his enemies, some of them died to old age.

He chuckled as he sat on his death bed, the same image as he saw before, the clepsydra above his head, the sands of time washing him away, death and reincarnation, but the images stopped here.

He didn't see Buddha or Hades as he was forcefully woken up by the evolution of his main body!

His body started to break through the cocoon, as he slowly broke through the cocoon his main body finally reached the 5th stage of the heavenly realm!

He looked down at his new body and realized that he gained some arms that looked similar to a humanoids, and he could feel that his head was heavier than before, he used his new arms to touch his head and felt that it was way bigger than before!

Even though his size didn't increase much his power, speed, stamina, and physical endurance have increased by a lot, also his rank at his 'rebirth' was 10!

Yun Jhin left Sun Sisheng's cranium as he looked in a mirror he had in his room, he was now a deep dark color as his bulging head was the first thing he observed, the veins on it were pulsing as he now developed a big brain to help him with controlling people regardless of range!

Yun Jhin then looked at his new 'arms' he didn't know why the true mind caterpillar needed arms but he would see in the nearby future, as he finished looking at the new appearance of his body. he returned inside Sun Sisheng's cranium through his nose and took control of the body which was way easier than before, he also felt that he could now control the body regardless if he was inside it or not,

Even though he lost his stinger at the end of his body, he now had a different connection to Sun Sisheng's body, a mental imprint was left in his empty sea of consciousness and with the help of his now gigantic brain, he could easily control the man's body as if it was his own!

Yun Jhin smiled as he used some of the remaining death water to fully stabilize his host's body in the 1st stage of the ki cultivating realm and increase his cultivation realm by a bit.

Then he finally left his closed-door cultivation, and according to his calculations almost 6 months passed by!

Susang was immediately happy to meet with him as he patted his back and said:

"I almost thought you wouldn't make it in time for my marriage ceremony brother Sisheng, I want you to be my best man!"

Yun Jhin smiled at Susang but sneered inside as he responded to the man:

"Sure brother Susang, you go finish your preparations and send me a mental notice when you are ready, I'm going to talk with the second prince, with the death water I gained from him I'm sure that I can easily break through to the second stage, but I still need some materials."

Susang didn't care about that as he smiled like a fool and said:

"Whatever brother, live a little, don't focus on cultivation day in day night, I heard from my spies that your wife died while giving birth to your son, why don't I introduce you with some fine ladies, or you might even want to visit princess Mumu, she has been talking and asking about you ever since she left closed-door cultivation one month earlier than you."

Yun Jhin continued to smile as he said:

"I will consider it but first I will have to talk with the second prince about some matters, as I said before you go do your stuff."

Susang nodded his head as he didn't think Yun Jhin would do anything to the second prince as he now trusted the man with his back and his liege's safety due to his actions, he thought that Yun Jhin only had the best intentions for the second prince's party.

Yun Jhin 'inside sneer' continued to lengthen as he looked at Susang and then he left him behind as he entered the hall and saw the prince on his throne, it seemed he was lucky that he found him there, he approached the prince and bowed as he said:

"This subordinate was lucky to refine the Death water, but I still need some help from your highness, I just need one more thing before I'm sure I could finally stabilize myself in the Long Empire and the capital."

The second prince smiled kindly at Yun Jhin as he asked:

"What else would you need my friend Sisheng?"

Yun Jhin smiled cryptically as he said slowly:

"Your body your highness."

The formations that were supposed to protect the prince suddenly faltered as when the prince and Susang were away he already tampered with them, the ordinary soldiers protecting the hall wouldn't even realize what was done to the formations.

Suddenly a soul attack invaded the man's consciousness and devoured it!

A soul imprint entered the man's body as his glazed eyes returned to normal and he chuckled as he said:

"Good joke Sisheng but we both know that you and I like women, what else would you need?"

Yun Jhin shook his head as he said:

"Nothing much your highness, just another batch of death water would be useful."

The 'second prince' frowned as he said:

"I cannot give any more water unless you gain merit on the battlefield!"

Yun Jhin bowed his head and said:

"Then let me on the battlefield, your highness."

A strange light appeared in the second princes' eyes as he said:

"Of course, you will now be I, Long Manison personal guard along with general Susang, I have fully accepted you after all you have done for my party!"

Yun Jhin smiled as he bowed his head down, a similar type of light as the one that appeared in the princes' eyes appeared in his eyes, and afterward, he left the hall.

Yun Jhin finally accomplished the first step in infiltrating the imperial family!
