"Such is the effects of the fortune aura" Rezen thought while shaking his head. He knew that it wouldn't be easy to kill a heavens' blessed but to think that this many would die after just attempting to kill that worm

"Still, with that many people trying to kill the worm just to get killed by other magic beasts, the fortune aura of that beast should have lessened significantly..." Rezen thought before he waved his hand to incinerate a 3rd cycle magic beast that attacked him

Even if he has his attention on the situation with the heavens' blessed, he still makes sure to not let his guard down against any other magic beasts

"These worm-type magic beasts are spiking our death toll. Those that excel in earth-type magic, please use your magic to harden the ground! In this way, even if they can sneak attack on us, we will have enough time to react!"

Rezen used wind magic again to transmit his ideas to the other mages. This time, the voice was not only heard by the mages near the heavens' blessed but also on the other parts of the battlefield

Many have fallen prey to these worms and many have witnessed those deaths. As such, they didn't doubt Rezen's words at all

Without any hesitation, many mages did as they were told and they further solidified the ground. This solidification is not enough to completely prevent the works from surfacing on the ground but at the very least, they would have more time to react

The deadliest aspect of these worms was their ability to launch sneak attacks. Once that was gone, they would become ordinary magic beasts

With Rezen's help, the death toll on the humanity's side lessened and the situation has become a bit better

Naturally, this also causes the situation of the heavens' blessed magic beast to worsen as the human mages launch their attacks again

However, the mages were still hindered. The weaker the heavens' blessed are, the more fortune aura will be spent to save them from the same level of enemies. With this many mages trying to kill it, it didn't take that long before its fortune aura dwindled

"While troublesome, fortune aura is not omnipotent. After all, not all fortune aura will be used to save it. Some is reserved for its talent or some is reserved for fortuitous encounters"

Fortune aura is a thing that helps the heavens' blessed reach a certain realm. Naturally, it wouldn't all be used to save that creature's life. Not to mention, fortune aura does not have intelligence and works passively

Even if a person has a high luck, there are still times when they will lose in gambling. It's simply a matter of luck, having a higher chance of winning, and not flipping probability to turn a 1% chance of winning to a full 100% chance of victory. If that is the case then the fortune aura will become omnipotent

"Inform me if I can finally plunder its fortune aura" Rezen said to Ivy as he maintained a not so distant yet also not too near distance from the heavens' blessed

"Still, it's really slimy" Rezen muttered to himself as despite being attacked by several mages, the magic beast still didn't die. Rezen was forced to make a move again

"[Sun Arrow!]" Rezen formed another magic circle to cast a magic spell. His target is naturally not the heavens' blessed as he feared the retaliation from the fortune aura

Just how many human mages have died that are at the same level or above that magic beast? Rezen is not yet powerful enough to ignore this potent fortune aura

What Rezen targeted is instead an 8th cycle magic beast. Of course, his power wouldn't be enough to kill it but it was not his goal at all

The sun arrow made a yellow trajectory in the air and it actually successfully landed on its target

"Awooo!!" The wolf-type magic beast that was Rezen's target howled in pain. Originally, as an 8th cycle Junior Beast, it has enough power to slap Rezen's magic without being harmed

However, this magic beast was stuck in a deadlock with an 8th cycle Junior Mage. It didn't have enough energy and attention to spare to others

Not to mention, Rezen also used the wind to give his intention to that 8th cycle mage. As such, the mage didn't give the magic beast a chance to dodge Rezen's attack

This trick wouldn't work on magic beasts that has intelligence as they can hear what Rezen said to the human mage. Fortunately, all the magic beasts here are mindless beasts. As such, it falls prey to Rezen's cheap tricks

While an 8th cycle mage can block Rezen's attack it doesn't mean that they would be left unscathed if they let the attack land on their bodies. They are still beings of flesh and blood that do not have immunity to magic spells below their realm

Not to mention, it was even a magic spell that landed on its body and not just a simple magic!

The injuries this magic beast sustained might not be life threatening but it was still pretty serious. In this situation, it might even be life threatening as it was still fighting a mage at the same level as it

Not to mention, Rezen even targeted one of the wolf's legs, impeding its movements and causing blood to constantly flow from its wounds

The more time that passed, the more the injuries of this magic beast will become. Not to mention, the human mage will definitely give it more injuries

With the proximity of these two with the heavens' blessed, it wouldn't be surprising if after killing this magic beast, the human mage would turn its attention to the heavens' blessed

While his own power is not significant enough to make a huge contribution, his intelligence is different. At least, at this level, his brain can still be plenty useful than his own magical prowess
