Volume Four, Prologue:
Hullo, you lot. It's Daisuke, as per usual. It's Friday night and usually on Fridays, I would cook something for myself instead of relying on Mrs. Chikara's cooking. However, due to certain circumstances, I'm not the one working in the kitchen currently.
"Hey, Aniki, where's the shiradashi?"
"Oh. It's in that cabinet right there. Can you reach it where it is?"
"Yes, it's not an issue."
Yoko Colen, my ginger haired cousin is occupying that space now. And it's because she's started living with me ever since yesterday. I can't believe that something like this is actually happening. I mean, we even share the same bed, much to Yoko's joy.
"Are you sure you don't want any help, Yoko?"
"It's alright, Aniki. I'll manage."
I stand up, walk away from my computer and head over to the kitchen to watch her work.
"Oi, if you're going to handle the cooking on the week-days, I'll handle it on the week-end, yeah?"
"Sure!", Yoko agrees, " It's been a while since I've had your cooking."
"I'll try to make more vegetarian options as well."
Yoko smiles lightly at me.
"Aniki, I told you that I've been eating meat for a while. So you don't have to worry about that."
"No, I do.", I say with my eyes closed, "If you're willing to change aspects of your life for our future together, then I should do the same."
It's gone oddly quiet, I don't even hear Yoko stirring the pot. I open my eyes to see her staring at me, wearing a giddy smile and her face thoroughly flushed. She hastily walks around the kitchen island and get up close and personal with me. And I mean close.
"Our future together?! So you're already making plans?!"
She's quite exuberant all of a sudden, isn't she? I mean, I understand why....
"Y-yeah. I have to take responsibility for my actions with this three girlfriends thing, you see. I love the three of you equally."
I can't believe that I'm saying this to my cousin. I honestly still haven't fully come around to it yet.
"Good."
Yoko then embraces me, closing her eyes and parting her lips, obviously wanting to kiss. I may not have fully come around yet, but actions like these will make it a lot easier to. I gulp back some spit, and lean in for the kiss....
*BAM BAM BAM BAM*
Holy hell, that made me jump out of my skin. Yoko, however seems like she knew that it was coming, whatever it may be. I assume that that's someone violently knocking on my door. A bit confused and wary, I go over to the door.
"Who's that?"
"It's me, Daisuke-nii."
Ah, Akane. Why'd she hammer on the door like that? I unlock the door and open it and she's stood there wearing the shirt that I gave her a while back. Hopefully, that's not all that she's wearing. But, my attention is moreso captured by the kitchen knife that she's holding in her hand.
"Daisuke-nii, do you mind if I come in?", she asks.
"Of course not."
I let her in and close the door behind her.
"Kaa-chan is making pork and ginger, and I'm helping her.", Akane says naturally, "Do you want any?"
She's ignoring Yoko completely...
"No, thanks. Yoko is handling our food situation, see."
"Good night, Akane.", Yoko smiles, "I'm making some chicken curry. Would you like to stay over for some?"
Akane turns to Yoko and walks over to her, her expression suddenly dark. She speaks to Yoko in a growl.
"Yoko-chan. Did I not warn you that if you tried anything with Daisuke-nii, something would happen?"
"You know, I believe you did."
Yoko is clearly being facetious. So Akane breathes, and raises the knife in the air in a stabbing motion- A STABBING MOTION?!
Faster than I've ever moved in my life, I race over to them and tightly grab Akane's wrist!
"OI, WHAT IN THE FRESH HELL ARE YOU DOING?!?!?!?!?", I yell uncontrolably.
"Let go of me, Daisuke-nii! I gave her a warning and she didn't listen!"
This girl has gone fucking barmy! Why's she this upset?!
"Oh, how scary."
"I'll show you scary, you-"
Yoko cowers behind me in pretend fear. She really isn't helping.
"Will you please stop antagonising her?! Akane relax, just because Yoko gets flirtly with me doesn't mean I don't love you too!"
Akane finally stop resisting and calms down.
"You do? Really?"
"Yeah, of course I do. You know what, I'll ask your parents if you can stay over. It's Friday, after all."
I'm a bit apprehensive about leaving but...
"S-sorry, Yoko-chan. I-I-I-I got a little too angry there. Please forgive me."
"It's fine. Although you're definitely a yandere. Glad to see I'm not the only one, but you and I may be different types, though."
"I'm not a yandere! Geez!"
Now, they're all buddy-buddy again.....
These girls are weird, man.
