My brother is an Idol

Chapter 65

Chapter 65: Chapter 65
Chapter 65

Jeju Island.

Sehwa beach was so beautiful and sunny that it looked surreal.

The sun shone brightly, creating many different colors to her eyes as Hyoyoung pondered, ‘I keep having many dream-like moments nowadays.’

She was wearing a large hat to protect herself from the sun and she was quietly enjoying watching the ocean. It wasn’t an overly warm day, yet many people were playing in the water.

Kiwook came to her and handed her an orange-colored drink as he asked, “What are you thinking about, Hyoyoung?”

Looking at his smile, Hyoyoung thought to herself, ‘So I guess this isn’t a dream. This is really happening.’

The drink he handed her gave off a lovely citrus fragrance. The feeling of Kiwook near her and the amazing scenery in front of her…

This was real. Hyoyoung was traveling alone with Kiwook. And they were on Jeju Island, the romantic paradise many couples like to visit.

When Hyoyoung didn’t answer, Kiwook guessed, “You are thinking that you must be dreaming, right? You think this isn’t real?”

“Huh!”

When Hyoyoung exclaimed, Kiwook laughed.

“Ha! So I got it right! You just made a weird sound that confirms it.”

Hyoyoung stared at him in shock and Kiwook patted her head affectionately. She stammered, “Well… I’m j-just wondering… i-if this is really ok…”

She looked down at her drink awkwardly. Kiwook stretched his arms and replied, “It’s too late to worry about that anyway, right? It’s already done, so who cares? For once, I want to do what I really want like a villain.”

“A villain…”

“Whenever I watched hero movies, I always wondered… Instead of becoming a hero, who makes sacrifices for others and ends up being unhappy, why not become a villain? I mean, don’t you think doing what you want from time to time would make your life happier, rather than just doing what is always right and proper?”

“So you are going to become a villain, Oppa?”

“Yup. For today and tomorrow, I will be a bad guy.”

“What?! That means you will be bad when you are alone with me?!”

When Hyoyoung grumbled, Kiwook held her shoulder and pulled her closer. He asked with a grin, “Why? Are you nervous?”

The solid feel of his body against her made Hyoyoung blush. She bit her lip and she didn’t know where to look. He was acting very intimate with her, and she replied awkwardly, “No, it’s not that I’m nervous… It’s just… well… yeah.”

“What are you talking about?”

“It’s… I’m not an adult yet, but we still came here together, and… so…”

“I didn’t come here with a child, Hyoyoung.”

“Huh?”

“I am a healthy man who came to Jeju Island with my girlfriend.”

“Oh, well… but… even a villain needs to follow some rules…”

“What rules?”

“I know this will probably sound strange, but there are certain rules everyone needs to follow… I think.”

“Have you seen a villain who follows rules? The only rule a villain has to follow is his own.”

“But even among the villains, there must be some rules they agree to follow… am I making any sense?”

“Hyoyoung.”

“Yeah?”

“Are you really that anxious? You sound hilarious right now. You aren’t making any sense.”

Hyoyoung continued to look down awkwardly as she replied, “Yes, I am a bit surprised. You are holding me very tight… and you just told me you want to be bad… And we are on Jeju Island… And I am just not ready…”

When Hyoyoung rambled on and on, Kiwook burst into laughter.

“HAHAHA!”

He laughed so hard that he grabbed his stomach in pain.

“Hyoyoung, you are so…”

Hyoyoung looked confused. She asked, “Me? What’s wrong, Oppa? Why are you laughing?”

“Hyoyoung.”

“Yes?”

“I said I would become a villain, not an asshole, so don’t worry.”

“Huh?”

“If Hyojun finds out we came here together… he will split me in half and throw me under a bridge. He won’t believe me even if I tell him I didn’t do anything.”

“Oh, come on. He won’t be that bad.”

“Yes, he will, Hyoyoung.”

“If you know that, then why did you bring me here?!”

“Even if the risk is great, I still wanted to come here with you. I want to be with you without having to worry about the other guys walking in on us all the time! Whatever punishment I may receive, it would be absolutely worth it.”

Kiwook’s eyes were serious. He continued, “There is only one thing that bothers me, Hyoyoung.”

“W-what is it?”

“I just hate to put you in a position where you have to lie again. To Hyojun and maybe to your friend again.”

“Oh…”

“Other than that, I can’t be happier. I don’t care about myself, my friends, my work, or anything. Just being with you here and having a good time is all I need. It’s the most important thing for me. It’s the only thing that makes me happy.”

“…Thank you.”

Hyoyoung could tell Kiwook was being truthful. She finally could relax and be comfortable.

She sat closer to him and rested her head on his shoulder. She whispered her thanks again, and Kiwook caressed her head.

“You are so beautiful, my Hyoyoung.”

He gently kissed her forehead and her cheek, making her blush.

‘I’m so happy.’

Looking at the ocean and enjoying the gentle breeze with Kiwook, Hyoyoung felt lazy. She closed her eyes as she enjoyed Kiwook’s caress and the sound of the ocean waves.

Kiwook touched her like she was a priceless instrument. He patted her head and her cheeks. He also touched her nose and her lips slowly with his fingers.

Hyoyoung thought to herself, ‘Oh, it’s so nice, but… he’s driving me crazy.’

Every time he touched her, she felt like an electric shock coursing through her body. She felt lazy yet tense and ecstatic yet nervous.

She was breathless.

Hyoyoung knew she would explode if she opened her eyes and saw Kiwook looking down at her, so she kept her eyes closed. Kiwook remained silent as he explored her face, and from time to time, Hyoyoung flinched and sighed.

Kiwook felt tempted, ‘Gosh, I wish I could really be bad.’

He found it difficult to control himself. He took a deep breath and tried to calm down.

‘I want to be a villain so badly right now.’

But Kiwook knew better. He sighed and gently shook Hyoyoung.

“Aren’t you hungry? Let’s go get something to eat.”

She opened her eyes and stood up quickly. It was as if she has been waiting for this. She picked up her bag and led the way.

“That’s a great idea, Oppa! We need to eat something. It’s the perfect time for a meal.”

As he watched her walk away, Kiwook murmured, “Actually, it’s a perfect time for bed.”

Hyoyoung was already far ahead of him. She turned around and waved at him, and at that moment, Kiwook knew that he would remember this for the rest of his life. Alone with Hyoyoung on this beautiful island… it was like a dream.

‘I’m so glad we came. I was worried about it yesterday, but… this was the right decision.’

Kiwook smiled and walked towards Hyoyoung. As he got closer to her, he remembered what he had to do yesterday to make this trip happen.
