3: First Revolution Yang Qi Rejuvenation Pills
Li Fei opened his eyes after a few hours contemplating his fate as well as the future of this establishment.
Unlike the Earth's society where nobody has super powers and everything revolves around money and even the law itself could be bought, it was a complete opposite in this cultivation world.
Money and fortune means nothing in front of absolute power, especially in the world where the strong prey on the weak and the law of the jungle reigns over the whole plain. Moreover, most of the cultivators in this world were warmongers and sociopaths who kill for their amusement and satisfaction to prove themselves as the strongest being.
In the Yu Kingdom alone where one hundred millions people lived in a delicate balance of power and status quo, 1 out of 10.000 people was a Body Refining Realm Cultivator, the lowest cultivation stage which has 9 Minor Stage before they could advance to the Qi Gathering Realm.
Meaning, Yu Kingdom alone had at least 100.000 Cultivators amongst the commoners. Only 50.000 Cultivators could advance to the Qi Gathering Realm. The amount of Cultivators who could advance to the Qi Fusion Realm was halved. Only few Cultivators could advance from Qi Fusion Realm to the Core Formation Realm since they had to undergo a deadly Heavenly Tribulation in order to unshackle themselves from the Law of Heaven and Earth.
Nascent Soul Realm, Soul Separation Realm, Soul Creation Realm, and beyond were even more difficult to achieve since the resources that are needed to sustain their cultivation stage are painstakingly expensive and hard to come by.
The amount of Cultivators in a mere Rank 1 Affiliated Kingdom was already overwhelming for Li Fei as an earthling. He couldn't even fathom the sheer size of this world and the overall power of Yue Empire and the other Empires beyond the horizon.
To think that Peng Lao was able to reach Peak Nascent Soul Realm and was about to ascend to the Soul Separation Realm was quite a big achievement. Li Fei admired Peng Lao's perseverance in cultivation.
“Aish! The water in this kingdom is so deep! Haahh… I should prioritize the recovery of this body before anything else.”
Li Fei closed his eyes once again, and more important information flowed in, to his surprise, Peng Lao still had some stash that he stored somewhere around the House of Phoenixes’ building. After a quick revelation, Li Fei acknowledged that Peng Lao's secret stash was buried in the backyard.
Wasting no time, Li Fei ran downstairs and went straight to the shack where Yulan usually stored the hoe for her gardening hobby.
“Master, what are you going to do with that?!” Yulan asked.
“I'll borrow it for a while. Don't mind me!” Li Fei trotted toward the shed which had been alternated as a pig pen.
“Urgh! It's so stinky!” Li Fei pinched his nose. “Aish! Fuck it!”
Li Fei sloughed off his robe and tossed it to the ground. He was now only wearing underpants and nothing else.
“Unmistakably, this is the spot! Peng Lao, you sly bastard, hiding your secret stash beneath a pile of shits! How very likely of you. Welp, let's start digging!”
Oink! Oink!
The pigs scrambled away when the scrawny, zombie-like man brandished his hoe high above his head while smiling like a maniac.
Li Fei didn't even hesitate to plow the manure-mixed mud until his body was completely battered with black, gooey and sticky soil as he dug deeper.
Aylan and Yulan both horrified as they saw Master Peng Lao dug out the manure-mixed mud like a crazed man.
“Stop it, Master! What are you doing!” Aylan cried.
“So noisy.” Li Fei grumbled. “Why don't you prepare the bathtub for me?”
“Right away, Master!”
Yulan was left alone in the backyard, staring daggers at her master.
“Yulan, what are you doing here? I have told you to stay put in your chamber, right?”
“Y-yes, but… the pig pen…” Yulan was pensive.
“Ah, don't worry about it. I'll cover the hole later. Now go to your chamber.”
“Yes, Master.”
After he got rid of the twin, Li Fei continued to dig the soil faster. The reason being was he didn't want them to know about Peng Lao secret stash due to his trust issues. They might have a long history with Peng Lao as their Master. However, Li Fei was still Life, a person who trusted no one but himself.
All he cared about was to get the valuables for himself.
Thunk!
Li Fei snickers from ear to ear when the tip of his hoe hits something hard. A metal crate to be exact.
It didn't take too much time for Li Fei to unearth the crate after he dug out 6 feet deep of soil with one single heave.
“Fyuh! That's a good workout! Hehehe, let's see what is inside this crate, I hope the contents aren't rotten yet.”
Peng Lao's memory guided him how to open the crate by utilizing the Spirit Sense. Luckily, since Life's soul was reincarnated to this world, he had higher Spiritual Sense than other people by default. Without a doubt, this ability was Life's finest cheat which allows him to perceive something that is hidden from plain sight.
A second later, the lock produced a satisfying ‘click’ sound. Li Fei opened the crate very slowly whilst smiling gleefully.
“Fuiyoh!” Li Fei exclaimed inwardly when he saw the content. “Hehehe, I don't know what these items are but they look very expensive to me.”
Not yet satisfied with the findings, Li Fei opted to dig deeper, he knew there's something far more precious treasure than those consumables.
Tink!
The tip of his hoe hit something harder, not willing to put a scratch on the treasure, Li Fei used his hands instead and found a small artifact that would fit on his palm perfectly.
He was reluctant to take out the small artifact with a dragon sculpture around it. From the greenish appearance, Li Fei thought the ashtray was made from copper which had been oxidized due to being buried in a damp, manure-mixed soil.
“Tsk! What is this?! An ashtray is it? Sigh, whatever, it has a nice design for the very least. Maybe it will be worth a fortune.”
Beep!
The system rang once again. Various rectangular transparent screens appeared before him when he eyed Peng Lao's inheritance.
“How neat! Appraisal Feature!”
Afterward, the information window popped beside each item.
