Multiverse Shenanigans: Raja's Journey

Chapter 7: Operation Godhood – Guns, Goons, and God-Tier Powers

I sat in the dimly lit room, staring at the holographic blueprint of Jiang's fortress, mapping out every possible entry point. My mind raced with strategies on how to infiltrate and recover the remaining three packets of CPH4, the drug that would push Lucy to her full godhood.

Just as I was planning the perfect stealth approach—y'know, the "in and out, no one gets hurt but everyone's terrified" kind of deal—I felt a chill crawl up my spine. Someone was behind me.

Lucy (suddenly behind me, gun to my head): "Who are you? Did you bring me here? What's happening to me?"

I froze. How the hell did she get so close without me noticing?! But before I could even answer, I felt something weird. My mind… it was like someone was flipping through my mental filing cabinet, pulling out preloaded memories one after another.

Lucy (reading my mind like it's a comic book): "I see now."

Me (confused as hell): "What?! How are you still alive and talking? You've got a designer drug cocktail swimming through your veins! How are you standing? Wait… how are your stitches gone?"

Lucy calmly put the gun down and turned to face me, her eyes gleaming with something far beyond human comprehension.

Lucy: "I read your mind. And I told my body to heal faster."

Me: "Nani?! You're supposed to be dead! I already planned your funeral! There was gonna be a nice red Sakura tree, and—"

Lucy (smirking): "Yes, I know. You'd have liked me to wear red hair with a black outfit. Quite the imagination, I must say."

Me: "Oh, come on, stop reading my mind! I'm 18! Hormones kick in when I'm around someone like you—it's biology, okay?!"

Lucy (totally ignoring my embarrassment): "I feel… different. The drug… it's changing me. My mind feels liberated. I can sense and control things in ways I didn't think possible." She gestured toward the computer. "May I use it? I need to understand what's happening to me."

Me: "Yeah, sure, go ahead. I'll head to the armory and grab some weapons. We're going after Jiang tonight. You can relax; I've got the revenge part covered."

Lucy didn't even respond; she was already typing, and then—boom! The laptop went nuts. Data flashed on the screen like it was on caffeine steroids. She wasn't just browsing; she was devouring entire libraries of knowledge on biology, physics, math, and who knows what else. It was like watching Google, but in human form.

I grabbed my AR-15, Glocks, ammo, and some flashbangs, and as I made my way back to the armory, I saw her strolling toward me.

Lucy—and now with red hair.

Be still my traitorous heart.

I took a deep breath and tried to act cool, but MAYA was probably laughing at me in the back of my mind.

Me (clearing my throat): "So… what's the verdict? Do I take you to a hospital, or are you just gonna Wolverine your way through this?"

Lucy: "My brain capacity has increased to 25%. It's still rising. I don't have much time."

Me (shocked): "Twenty-five?! Einstein barely reached 8%! Why do you need the remaining drugs? Are you planning to OD?"

Lucy: "I need the rest of the CPH4. Without it, I'll die."

I blinked. That wasn't good news.

Me: "Okay, I believe you. But we should wait for nightfall. Stealth's my thing. I'll sneak in, grab the drugs, and—"

Lucy (cutting me off): "No time. I'm coming with you."

Me (panicked): "Nani?! Do you know how many men Jiang has?! He probably knows by now that I've been messing with his operations. The hotel's gonna be a fortress! And… can you even fight?"

Lucy picked up one of my prized Desert Eagles, strolled over to the target range, and casually put ten bullets dead-center in the target's head. Then, without warning, she flipped toward me, knife in hand. I barely had time to react before she swiped my legs out from under me, disarmed me, and had me pinned to the ground.

Me (groaning): "Okay, point taken. Let's go thrash a drug lord."

Operation: Thrashing Drug Lord

Lucy, decked out in sleek black combat gear (yeah, I wasn't imagining that part), walked to my Lamborghini like she was starring in an action movie. Me? I loaded up my AR-15, Glocks, flashbangs, and other fun toys. She grabbed the wheel, and we shot off toward Jiang's heavily guarded hotel.

I tried not to stare, but she looked hot as hell, especially with that wild red hair. I had to mentally slap myself a few times to stay focused. Thank you, gamer brain, for not failing me.

As we screeched to a halt right in front of the hotel, Lucy just walked out of the car, guns blazing.

Me (whispering to myself): "Well, so much for stealth."

I tumbled out of the car, AR-15 at the ready, but every time I aimed at a guard, Lucy had already dropped them with a headshot. Her movements were fluid, precise—she wasn't even breaking a sweat. She was like a supercharged John Wick with telekinesis.

Me (internally screaming): I really need to kiss her right now.

Lucy must've sensed my thoughts because the next thing I knew, she walked right up to me, grabbed me by the collar, and kissed me. My brain short-circuited. I swear, I ascended to another dimension. My legs went weak, and I was gone.

Lucy (breaking the kiss, smirking): "Keep up, Vengeance."

She strutted toward the elevator, and I just stood there, blinking like an idiot for a solid five seconds. Then my body caught up with my brain, and I followed her in.

No Plan, Just Mayhem

The elevator dinged on the top floor. We stepped out into a hallway lined with rooms—every door hiding Jiang's goons, ready to attack.

Lucy didn't even flinch. She simply raised her gun, and without looking, shot through the walls. Every bullet found its mark. It was like she could see through the walls, because she could.

Me (tossing a flashbang): "You're stealing all the fun here, Lucy!"

I ran down the hall, mowing down any goons that Lucy's telekinetic abilities didn't throw around like ragdolls. It was a massacre.

We reached the final room—the one Jiang was hiding in. Lucy casually blasted the door open, and the last few guards inside were dead before they could even blink.

Jiang, the scumbag, was hiding behind his desk, cursing us both out in rapid Mandarin.

Me (yawning): "Blah blah blah. Can't we just skip to the part where you die?"

Before Jiang could finish another insult, I put a bullet between his eyes. Classic.

Lucy retrieved the briefcase.

Lucy: "Let's get back to the safe house."

Vengeance and the Ascent of a God

Back at the safe house, things went sideways quickly. Lucy's body started convulsing. Her powers were going haywire—objects flew around the room, and the lights flickered. I knew what was happening.

I quickly grabbed a saline packet, poured the remaining CPH4 into it, and injected it into her. Lucy's body stabilized, but she collapsed, unconscious. I picked her up, laid her on the bed, and frantically searched for a doctor—the scientist who created this nightmare.

Of course, the guy was attending a conference in London. Because why wouldn't he be?

I tried calling him repeatedly, but no luck. That's when I felt Lucy's presence behind me.

Lucy (calmly): "We need to contact him."

Me (jumping in fright): "Geez! Stop sneaking up on me! You're gonna give me a heart attack!"

Lucy (smirking): "The Vengeance—who makes the underworld tremble—scared by little old me?"

Me: "Haha, bite me. I'm trying to get ahold of the scientist. By the way, how are you feeling? Any weird side effects?"

Lucy simply took my phone and dialed the scientist herself. Her mind, growing by the second, found the right number instantly. Her powers were evolving, and I could feel it.

She convinced the scientist to meet us in Paris. He agreed, but only after a long conversation that was well beyond my level of comprehension.

To Paris We Go

Lucy hung up the phone and looked at me, her eyes gleaming with power.

Lucy: "We need to leave. The sooner we get to Paris, the better."

Me (jai mata di)
