Multiverse Shenanigans: Raja's Journey

Chapter 12: The Rise of the Tempest Dragon

At the age of 15, the title of Dragon—above even the Hashira—was bestowed upon me. My elder brother, Gyomei Himejima, was the first to bear the title of Earth Dragon, the pillar of strength and resolve. After him, it was my turn. They called me the Tempest Dragon or Storm Dragon, marking the birth of a new legend. When I manifested my mark—a radiant yellow trishul or trident on my forehead—it felt like Lord Shiva himself was watching over me, blessing me as I embarked on my journey to rid the world of demons.

Armed with my new title, I ventured out, cutting down demons wherever they appeared. But in the process, I also found myself saving lives—one family, one village at a time.

The Shinazugawa Incident

The Shinazugawa family were just living their lives, the mother caring for her children during the day and working through the night. One night, when she didn't return home, the kids grew worried. The oldest, Sanemi, was pacing like a worried rooster who misplaced his hens. Suddenly, a knock on the door filled the children with false hope. They opened it eagerly, only to let in a nightmare.

A demon—formerly their mother, turned by Muzan—immediately slaughtered several of the children. Sanemi, his face a mixture of fear and rage, fought back with anything he could find, trying to hold her off till sunrise. His determination was enough to make the demon hesitate, allowing his brother, Genya, to survive. But as the first rays of light broke through the night, Genya realized in horror that the monster they had been fighting was their own mother.

This was when I arrived, fashionably late as always. My pet eagle, Garuda, circled above me, watching the scene unfold. I leapt into the fray, slicing through the demon-mother with a swift motion, freeing the children from their agony.

Sanemi looked at me with mixed feelings—part awe, part sorrow. "You saved us," he said, his voice tight with emotion. "But you killed her."

"Technically, she was already dead, kid," I replied, resting my sword on my shoulder. "Besides, what kind of dragon would I be if I left you with a demon for a mom? Think of it as an extreme family intervention."

His eyes narrowed but he said nothing more. After all, I had saved his siblings.

I instructed Garuda to deliver a message to the nearest Demon Slayer office for cleanup. As I glanced at Sanemi, I could see potential in him. He wasn't broken—he was burning with something far more dangerous. I told the officers to take him to my brother, Gyomei, the Earth Dragon.

"He's got potential," I said as I walked away. "Might want to get him started before he tries to punch a demon to death with his bare hands."

The Tokito Brothers

The next on my demon-slaying tour was a visit to the Tokito brothers. I arrived just in time to see a demon rip Yuichiro Tokito's arm clean off. Muichiro, the younger brother, was about to go berserk. His small frame shook with rage as he grabbed anything resembling a weapon. But before he could strike back, I intervened, slicing the demon in half with a single swipe of my blade.

"Nice try, but next time, maybe don't lose an arm before you start fighting," I smirked, kneeling by the bleeding Yuichiro. His time was running out, but I wasn't about to let him die.

"Don't thank me yet," I said, my hands working to stop the blood loss. "I need both of you alive if I'm going to have the coolest tag-team Hashira duo in the future."

Muichiro, still dazed from the fight, blinked up at me. "You… saved us."

"Obviously. I didn't go through all this trouble just to let you die on me," I replied, pulling out some bandages. "Now, be a good little swordsman and stay alive long enough to join the Corps."

I handed them a bag of gold and a letter, sending them on their way to the nearest office. The brothers would live, and one day, Muichiro would become the Mist Hashira.

The Wild Boar and His Boy

On a different day, I found myself deep in the forest, fighting demons left and right. While dealing with one particularly stubborn creature, I stumbled upon a wild boar, nearly dead from its injuries. Oddly enough, it didn't resist when I approached to heal it.

That's when Maya—my brainy AI companion—chimed in. "Due to your increased brain power, animals can now sense your intentions. They're basically like children now… except furrier."

I blinked, scratching my head. "Well, that's new."

As if summoned by divine comic timing, a half-naked child wearing animal skin and screaming like a lunatic charged at me. He tried ramming into me like a boar. I simply raised my hand, stopping him mid-charge. The kid flailed for a bit before finally giving up.

"This kid's got potential," I muttered.

Turns out, this little wildling was Inosuke Hashibira, raised by boars and lacking any form of human etiquette. His mother-boar seemed fond of me after I healed her, so I used that to communicate with Inosuke through a weird series of grunts and gestures. I even taught him some basic language.

Within a week, I convinced him and his boar mother to join me at the Demon Slayer HQ. They were hesitant at first, but my charm and a bit of persuasion convinced them. Gyomei became his mentor, and I left Inosuke to train in his new forest home behind the HQ.

"At least no one will complain about his table manners here," I mused.

The Fight with Doma

Now, onto one of my more thrilling adventures. Doma, Upper Moon 2, was causing havoc in a nearby village, and my eagle, Garuda, alerted me to the situation. By the time I arrived, Kanae Kocho, the Flower Hashira, was barely holding on. Doma had grievously injured her, and his usual smirk was plastered across his face.

I appeared right before Doma could land the final blow on her, parrying his attack with my sword.

"Oh, what's this? Another Hashira?" Doma sneered, but I could sense his nervousness.

"Not just a Hashira, pal. I'm the Tempest Dragon," I growled, summoning the full force of my powers.

My blade crackled with lightning as I unleashed a storm of slashes, my Tempest Breathing causing whirlwinds around us. Doma's smug expression faltered as I cut through his defenses, each strike faster than the last.

He retaliated with his Cryokinesis, freezing the ground beneath me and forming ice clones to distract me. But I wasn't going to let him off that easily. Channeling my full strength, I launched my signature move: Storm Surge, sending a shockwave of pure force that shattered his ice and sent him flying back.

"You've got some tricks, I'll give you that," I taunted. "But you're not leaving here alive."

Doma, now visibly sweating, summoned a massive wave of ice and wind, trying to trap me. But I countered with a hurricane of power, the winds of my attack blowing away his defenses. Just as I was about to finish him off, he pulled a cheap trick—a blinding flash of light that allowed him to escape.

He barely managed to flee before the sun rose.

"Well, he's fast when he's scared," I muttered, turning to Kanae, who had fallen unconscious from her injuries. "At least I managed to save the Flower Hashira."

The Demon Slayer Corps arrived shortly after, and I gave my report to HQ. I couldn't kill Doma, but I made sure he'd remember the name Tempest Dragon.

And so, my journey continued. Demons were still out there, but so was I—the storm that hunted them.
