Multiversal: The Shop

Chapter 16: Status

It's Monday! I need y'all votes!

-Before Summer woke up-

Her wounds were plenty, they were all over her body, however, it was nothing compared to her abdomen, there was literally a hole in the middle of it.

It made me wonder, how the fuck did she even make it this far? With major injuries like, how did she even have the strength to walk past the door?

Honestly, looking at her, I felt nothing but genuine respect, for her to last this far was nothing but a miracle.

Healing her wasn't easy, it took a good chunk of my prana to heal her completely, as she was literally half-dead, after cleaning her wound, changing her clothes, and by the way I did not look.

Okay, that one is a lie, I did it because there's no way I'd be able to dress her without looking, hopefully, she won't be mad after waking up.

Putting her into the bed, I didn't know there was a bed inside this shop, but then again this is my first time being in this place.

At first, I did not recognize this person, but the more I looked at her the more familiar she became. However, I can't remember her name, my memories about it are blurry.

There's no point thinking about it, I was about to give up when suddenly Blake said.

[ Sir, there's one thing I forgot to mention, you have the ability to look at a Customers status as long you're in the shop, all you have to do is look at the target and say 'status' whether you do it mentally or orally it doesn't matter. ]

Oh, that's very useful, meaning I get temporary Mystic Eyes in this place, wonderful. I've always wanted to know what it felt like to have one, and then I look at the sleeping form of the red woman and mentally say.

'Status.'

Oh…no wonder, she's familiar. I remember now, she's Ruby Rose and Yang Xiao Long's mother, the mother of the protagonist.

There isn't much known about her but I did know some basic information, that she works for Ozpin, a pawn in their game.

Either way, she's not waking up any time soon, with injuries like that, there's a high chance that she'll be in a coma for months possibly.

Since I saved her, it's my responsibility to take care of her. I'd be damned if I healed her and she'll die later, there's no way I'd let my effort be wasted!

Hours later, she miraculously woke up making my jaw drop for a bit, there's no way this is possibl- oh right, Aura.

How could I forget about it? I felt like face-palming myself right now, anyway it's time to act mysterious in front of her.

After that, I successfully nailed it and was pretty much satisfied with my work. The outfit helped create my mysterious and powerful image as I realized that this was no ordinary uniform at all.

I asked Blake about it, they said that it had some effect that causes the person who sees the uniform to think that I'm a mysterious and powerful person.

Well, certainly there is some truth with that, after all, I checked my status, while I may not be as physically powerful as her, I'm definitely stronger in terms of magecraft, which is by the way she doesn't have, her Silver Eyes had no effect against me since I'm not a being made out of mana, or darkness.

So as long as I'm in range, I could definitely beat her 9 out of 10.

Though that is only hypnotically, there's no telling what would happen if we were to fight in a life-and-death battle.

And it's something that I don't want to experience anytime soon.

-Summer Rose-

Summer followed the man known as Alex to his counter, after that he sat at one of the seats and urged her to do the same.

She did, and to her surprise, it was very comfortable, it's like she's sitting on a cloud. She wondered what kind of material this seat is made of, she's sure that it's made out of some high-quality cotton or something.

Anyway, this isn't about how comfortable the seat is, but to know what this mysterious man is selling, he did claim that he sells everything, but it's unbelievable there's no way he sells everything…right?

The shop owner or simply Alex, coughed using his right hand, to gain her attention, probably but if it was, then he successfully managed to get her attention.

"Anyway, I'm sure that you're skeptical that I sell 'everything'. It's such a bold claim, I know but believe me, indeed, I didn't lie about it, however as they say nothing is free, so the more ridiculous the thing you wanted, the more expensive it is naturally." Alex looks at her in the eyes, those eyes of his look like they are looking directly at her very soul.

She couldn't help but shiver at that, however, she didn't show it.

He continues to talk. "Now, as I mentioned a while ago, convert something you owned, into a currency of this shop, and it's called Multiversal Credits or M.C for short, so do you want to convert something? I assure you that it would be worth it."

He sounds very convincing, but that only made her feel cautious, then she replied. "What else could I convert for example, aside from my weapon or silver eyes?"

Alex smiled and didn't hesitate to say. "Your memories, your skills, your limbs, and your soul, those are the things that you can convert into M.C., so take a pick."

Hearing those one by one made her feel more anxious than the last, but it didn't take her long to make a decision. "Then I'd like to convert my weapon to this shop currency."

"A wise choice." Alex nodded then, her weapon Rose Thorn that was leaning on the side of the counter disappeared in a manner like a thousand fireflies scattered around.

It was mesmerizing, then a card dropped into her lap, and she picked it up and saw that it was some sort of I.D., with her name and current currency with it.

Bronze Card: Summer Rose

Multiversal Credits: 20

Purchased History: None

Conversion History: Rose Thorn- 20 M.C

Card Access: Door to the Multiversal Shop (Once a week)

Summer blinked at the pure bronze card in her hand and said. "What is this?"

"That, Mrs. Rose is your Credit Card. It holds your currency and purchase history of the shop, don't worry about losing it, this card is bound to you, meaning if you drop it somewhere it will return back to you." He explained. "As you can see, it's a bronze card and it's the lowest ranking card of all, as above bronze is silver, next is gold, platinum, and lastly diamond."

Summer nodded at the explanation and couldn't help but ask. "What if I wanted an upgrade? How do I do that?"

"That's an excellent question, to promote your bronze card to silver card you need to reach a certain amount of quota with your purchases, meaning you need to spend 1,000 M.C for promoting your bronze to silver, and the higher rank your card is, the better your perks in the shop."

It wasn't hard to understand, she nodded in understanding. "Alright, I understand now where are the things you're selling?"

Summer stared at the shelves and saw the most beautiful sword in existence. Excalibur.

She couldn't stop her jaw from dropping, every sword she saw was nothing compared to Excalibur, even her precious Rose Thorn is nothing to this sword.

"Beautiful…"

"I know right? However, I don't think you can afford it." Alex then showed her the price and couldn't help but wince at it, she swore that she never saw that many zeros in her life.

"Yeah, I definitely can't afford that with a measly 20 M.C…"

"Absolutely, there's a reason why it's very expensive, not because of its appearance but its property, anyway enough of that you can't afford anything from the shelves trust me, either way here's the catalog you can buy something under 20 M.C there." As soon as he said that, a blue screen suddenly appeared in front of her, though a bit surprised, but that was it.

Honestly, the catalog is a bit disappointing, not because of what it sells, but because it had a similar format to a shopping site that she tried a while ago!

Anyway, enough thinking she's going to focus on what she could afford, hopefully, she'll find something worth well, with only 20 M.C, she doesn't think that she would be able to buy a lot of items.

And little did she know how wrong she was with that statement.

Did you know? 10 M.C. enough for you to buy a super soldier serum?

Meaning there's a lot of super useful items that you could buy under 5 Multiversal Credits.
