Lu Qing retorted, “I also go to the sports field to run. The school has set a running task; I must run 2.5 kilometers every day.”

As it was the weekend, there were many people on the mountain. They could not occupy too much of the stairs, so they divided into two rows and two groups—one group clearing the way ahead and the other keeping an eye on Lan Ning and the machine.

These stairs were about four meters wide, and they occupied a third of them, leaving the rest for other visitors to pass through.

Among the visitors were many elderly people, holding walking sticks, resting frequently as they walked. When this miraculous machine passed by them, it captured their attention.

Elderly people often start to suffer from ailments, and many need a wheelchair in their old age. However, if they have to sit in a wheelchair, moving around becomes very inconvenient, especially when they want to go out. Without someone to push them, they cannot leave their homes.

Sometimes they feel like going to the park, but the park is full of steps, and they can’t maneuver a wheelchair over them, so they often choose to give up on going out.

“Young lady, where did you buy this wheelchair?” An old man with a walking stick came over and asked, “It seems quite practical. Can you recommend one for me, too?”

Lan Ning replied, “I’m sorry, Grandpa, but I didn’t buy this wheelchair. It was made by my friend.”

The old man was a bit disappointed. If it was a custom modification, it probably would not be mass-produced, but he still wanted to try his luck because the wheelchair seemed very practical.
