Chapter 38: Selling her Daughter (Business) to Her Daughter's Future Wife.
Saya: “Truthfully, I was already planning on selling my business to you, Miss Risa.” She said with a giggle.
Risa: “Really? Why is that?” She replied.
Saya: “I am getting up there in years, and I very much like to retire now. My daughter has her own career, and more than enough money to take care of herself. Not to mention, but I have millions saved up.” She answered. “Rather than just millions… I actually have almost a billion saved up. But I am done with this business, and wish to wash my hands of it, giving this hot potato to Risa to deal with.” She secretly thought.
Risa: “Well, I would be happy to take your business off of your hands.” She replied with a serious tone.
Apart from fast fashion, Saya and Risa basically own the fashion market. Once Risa takes over Saya’s business, then it will truly be a monopoly. Which is actually something that Saya is greatly worried about.
Saya: “Actually… once you buy my business, you will have the monopoly on the mid-end to highest-end fashion. Won’t that be illegal?” She nervously asked, still hoping to get rid of the hot potato that consumed a lot of her life, but worried that the merger will not be allowed.
Clare: “No need to worry about that, Miss Saya.” She said with a smile.
Saya: “Huh? What do you mean?” She asked with a head tilt.
Clare: “I have already lobbied congress to agree to Risa purchasing your business. It was pricey, but we will not run a foul of the government.” She said with a reassuring tone.
Saya: “Ah, thank you so much!” She said with a appreciating tone.
Clare: “The contract has already been written as well. Just read and sign it, then you three can have a good meal together.” She said, taking a large folder out of her briefcase and putting it in front of Saya.
Saya: “…” “This can’t be real, right?… There has to be some trick written in this contract!” She thought with a confused tone.
But, even after reading the contract for a solid thirty minutes, Saya found nothing out of the ordinary. In fact, she now has to just assume that her daughter had seduced Risa, as the contract was extremely favorable to her in the extreme. “Is my company really worth $25,000,000,000? Not to mention… but I get 10% royalties on each sell, and I get to keep 50% of the shares without needing to do any work, while Risa takes the other 50%.” She thought as she signed the contract with a slightly shaky hand.
Due to the huge golden parachute that Saya was just given, she didn’t realize that Risa also took a major hit. As the woman had to buy her shares, but also buy back Saya’s shares for her. “I won’t recoup this investment for at least ten years, but this is still good for me. After all, with this, I somewhat cut off another person that is connected to Monia that could help her escape me. That woman will be mine, and no one else’s!” Risa swore in her mind with an evil tone.
Slam!
Saya: “…”
Monia: “…” Do note: Monia has just been quietly playing with her smartphone, not really interested in the business deal in the least, just waiting for when she can finally eat some food. After all, the woman was greatly worried that, if she tries to talk, another mission would pop up…
Risa: “…”
Clare: “…” She expected this, but her surprised reaction was still top tier. This woman should quit being a maid and go become an actor already!
Such a deal required many signatures, so only one wasn’t enough for Saya to sell her business. While she was continuing through the papers, doing a second round to make sure she wasn’t being screwed over, Melissa had burst into the room. It wasn’t locked, as Clare had left it unlocked for Melissa on purpose. Now then, what show will the two yanderes give us?…
