Midnight Prince: Empire of Sin

Chapter 513: CLANDO

Adam and his team of association members were not the only ones leaving Los Angeles today. On another flight, a plane was cruising through the air, soaring above the clouds, heading in the direction of the European continent.

There was nothing out of the ordinary about the plane no matter how one would see the flying vehicle. However, there was one particular detail that most people would not be capable of observing no matter how they tried.

Directly above the streamlined-shaped hull of the plant, on its roof, a person could be seen standing rigidly with her arms crossed behind her. A large smile was plastered on the face of the person – a girl of otherworldly beauty – as she enjoyed the 'soft' breeze that tickled her body and fluttered her hair behind like a raging tsunami.

"Humans are truly such wonderful creations."

The heavenly beauty had a set of bluish hair, fluttering through the air like a tidal wave, and her eyes were special globes of multicolored lights blended into one and overlapped in different hues of the color blue. The colors were ever-shifting, sometimes cerulean, sometimes aquamarine, sometimes teal, yet other times the color of the blue sky— all in the shades of blue. It was as though her eyes were the color blue personified, an intriguing sight.

If Alberto had been present to watch this scene, he would have surely been covering his face in both shame and utter exhaustion. As it was none other than the Vampire Princess he was forced to who was the girl in question.

Currently, the princess was appreciating the first-class view, watching the world from above the vast skies, like a god observing his creations. After all, even for her, it was impossible to fly at such height and with such speed for too long. It just wasn't sustainable energy-wise.

The last few days, all she had been doing was watching the world and learning about all the things humans had brought to this world. The fact that they had advanced so far in their technological prospects in just a few hundred years made her once again affirm her belief that humans were incredible creatures and that their mortalities were exactly what made them so attractive and interesting.

This was why she had decided to take the plane all alone and make her way to Paris where she would be having a meeting with Gilles de Rais. Sadly, she had made a mistake and lost her plane tickets. She could have used her power to hypnotize the crew members but then she would have missed out on all the fun she was having now. As such, she decided to take the clandestine way of tackling this problem.

This reminded her of the time when she would take a ferry or enter a large ship to travel free without any cost or additional hassle.

"Heheh."

Reminiscing about the old times, the princess couldn't help but chuckle with glee. This was extremely fun. Truly so. But she couldn't help but wonder if she had missed something.

"This plane is going to Paris, right?"

She looked down, worried for an instant but then simply shrugged. It was of no matter to her. In the end, if the plane did not take her to her destination, all she had to do was take another one which would.

It was just… fun.

However, she still had to reach France as swiftly as possible. It would be quite problematic if she missed the recent auction that would be taking place in that location. After all, she learned that there might be a fragment of a divine weapon up for grabs in the auction.

She didn't have any need for a divine weapon in the least. But it would be a very beautiful piece for her collection and she didn't want to miss that. After all, her beloved Grandpa was also about to wake up from his deep slumber and he had a keen love for these types of presents.

"Though I wonder why Grandpa decided to wake up in this era of all times."

She also hoped he wouldn't choose her body to descend this time around. It was beneficial as it would lead to an increase in her powers, but it felt weird having two minds in her body and being unable to move as she wished.

"Oh…"

On the horizon, the vampire princess saw a large dark cloud just shy of forming in the sky. It seemed like the weather was becoming capricious. She looked down at her robe and while it was a little wrinkled because of the wind, it would be completely ruined if any rain fell on it.

"Well."

She hesitated a little before sighing and then, placing her hand upturned in front of her mouth, in the direction of the cloud— she blew a small breath.

Whoosh~!

A paintbrush seemed to cover the sky as a gust of wind rushed forward and chased away all the clouds that were about to form in the direction that the plane was headed towards.

Sitting in the cockpit, the two pilots' eyes opened wide in shock. The co-pilot looked down at the coffee in his hand with suspicion before looking at his friend and crew member.

"Jhon… Did you put anything in our drink?"

"Man, you know I don't do this shit when we're flying, right?"

"So… What the hell was that!?"

"Don't ask me!"

The weather had been worrying them and as it seemed like it would be a very strong one and while it wouldn't necessarily affect them too much, some shaking and such turbulences were expected.

But this…

"Was it an act of god?"

"I… Perhaps?"

Not knowing that she had caused two men to become fervently religious, the vampire princess gave a smile of satisfaction as she looked at the aftermath of her work.

She wouldn't have to dirty her dress after all. It was truly great. Now all she had to do was wait for the wonderful flying vehicle to take her to her destination.

(AN: Still on the fence about how important this vampire gal will be. She will most likely not be too much. So yeah, it all depends I guess.)
