Chapter 37: Shigaraki x Y/N
In the dim, chaotic halls of the League of Villains' base, the usual sounds of laughter and chaos erupted when Toga burst through the main entrance, her voice ringing like a fire alarm. "It's November! It's officially NNN!"
The room fell into a collective groan as everyone processed her announcement. No one was more aware of what this acronym meant than Y/N. She sighed, running a hand through her hair as she recalled her own personal struggles with this time of year. In a league infamous for their cruelty, chaos, and bizarre quirks, physical bonds and pleasures could almost feel impossible to come by, especially when it was a month dedicated to abstinence. Y/N loved Shigaraki fiercely, and that included every touch and kiss they had shared—each moment a balm against the darkness he often wore like a second skin.
Leaving behind the commotion, Y/N made her way to her and Shigaraki's shared room, the door creaking slightly as she pushed it open. Tomura Shigaraki sat at his cluttered desk, papers stacked high, his fingers stained with ink as he worked on another report. He looked up at her, a smirk creeping onto his face.
"So, how do you like the sound of NNN? It's your least favorite time of the year, isn't it?" His quirk—a touch of decay—could have easily been understood metaphorically in this context. His teasing only made Y/N's heart flutter with affection, even as a shadow of frustration slid through her.
"Yeah, really love it," she replied sarcastically, plopping down on the bed.
Y/N was a demon, and while the first weeks of November meant she could still manage her desires with some semblance of control, the last week was always a different story. With the heat coursing through her, it became increasingly difficult to keep her urges at bay, especially under Shigaraki's teasing gaze.
Shigaraki noticed the way her tension shifted, ignoring the paperwork in front of him as he leaned back in his chair, observing her. "You know, you might find this amusing," he said, letting a sly smile spread across his face.
"Amusing?" She narrowed her eyes suspiciously. "Try me."
"In the last week, those who don't yield to their urges tend to crack." He lifted an eyebrow. "Looks like you're not exactly in the best spot right now."
Y/N's blush deepened at his implication, and she crossed her arms reluctantly, as if trying to contain the flames brewing within her. "Tomura…" she warned, her voice low, unsure of how much more she could take.
To her dismay, as she attempted to hide her condition, it only became more overwhelming, like a coiling serpent ready to strike. The fiery heat was growing, knotting tightly in her stomach, but denial was the shield she both relied on and feared.
"You know, it's okay to give into it, right?" Shigaraki said, letting his chin rest on his hand. "You don't have to hide it from me."
But hide it she must—at least for now. "Not until December first," she insisted, managing a smile. She saw through Shigaraki's teasing and knew beneath it lay a deep understanding. He always got her in a way that made her feel safe.
Little did she know that the ticking clock of November was slowly, cruelly edging its way toward midnight. The final hours felt like a countdown, every second amplifying the heat that clawed at her, and the longing she tried so hard to bury was beginning to seep through the cracks of her facade.
As the 30th of November darkened into the final hours, it became increasingly difficult for Y/N to keep her composure. The clock struck midnight, marking the beginning of December, and Y/N felt all her restraint shatter like glass.
Shigaraki's expression shifted from amusement to surprise as he watched her arching back against the bed, breaths coming in shallow gasps. His perceptive nature kicked in, understanding the shift from playful teasing to genuine concern. He quickly approached her, his smirk fading. "Hey, what's wrong?"
Her chest tightened. "It's just… I thought I could hold on a little longer."
Demon heat was more than just a physical condition; it carried with it an array of emotions—the need for intimacy, for connection, the yearning for touch that was entwined with primal instincts.
Shigaraki knelt beside her, his gaze softening, the shadows of his past unable to dim the concern that colored his features. "Y/N…"
She looked up at him, eyes shimmering with vulnerability and longing. "I didn't want to show you this side of me. I thought I could wait it out."
"You don't have to wait," he murmured, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "I'm here for you. Just be honest with me."
With those words, Y/N felt a swell of relief and desire rise within her. Gone was the tightness in her chest, replaced with the palpable yearning that bound them together. And as she drew closer to him, she realized that for every dark moment Shigaraki had endured, together they could transform his shadows into something luminous and warm.
In the flickering light of their room, what was once a painful restraint yielded to an embrace, and in a world full of chaos, they found a sanctuary in each other. As December began, the night held promises that went far beyond mere indulgence, deepening the bond they'd formed in the furnace of their struggles. Around them, the world faded, allowing them to share a moment that was just theirs—serene, electric, and undeniably real.
