Mesugaki Tank Enters The Academy

Chapter 665

Chapter: 665

First things first, we can’t completely stop the Age of Myth from coming.

Thanks to those who praise me, the balance is rapidly collapsing, but that aside, the resurrection of the gods is an inevitable harmony.

As long as the Pope has made up his mind to disrupt the balance, the gods will eventually come down to this land.

So our goal isn’t to stop the Age of Myth, but to minimize the damage caused by the Evil Gods and take down the Pope within it.

Back when this was a game, I would have slowly cleared various quests, building connections and spreading influence to prepare for disasters, but now I’m just granting influence based solely on reputation, ignoring all prerequisites.

Honestly, the situation is way better than the game. Instead of just being a genius kid, I’ve got the title of Apostle of God.

Even if I act stubbornly, everyone thinks there must be a reason behind it.

Aside from the mental fatigue, it’s practically perfect.

But that mental fatigue is a problem, though.

“The Apostle of God is entering!”

Hearing the shout from the knight guarding the entrance made me feel the tension in my lips.

Why is it chaos when it’s my turn when no one said a word when others entered?

Suppressing the urge to kick the knight, I stepped into the room and checked the other apostles, commanding various regions, along with Karia and other messengers from nearby countries.

The influence of the video was definitely significant. Influential people from the court came directly.

The looks that sparkled at me were annoyingly strange, but I decided to ignore it.

It won’t last long anyway.

Following Phoebe’s lead, I took my seat without any greeting. That desk is way too high for no reason.

Even lifting my neck just barely shows my face, which is irritating.

Seeing those who looked at me with delight made me even more annoyed. Pouting, I stood up and sat Phoebe in my place.

Sitting on top of her elevated my viewpoint slightly.

“Uh… Young Lady?”

“Why pretend to dislike it? You prepared this weird chair just for this, right?”

“Y-yes?! I… I…”

“Aah, so noisy. Just do your job as a chair.”

I gave her thigh a light tap to shut her up and lifted my head with a bit of expectation.

Now, do you see that everything on the video is a cheat? Right?

…Huh? Why do those gazes remain the same?

No, actually, I even sense pity or sympathy.

What’s with this? Back in the day, someone would’ve yelled by now, right?

Is the influence of that video this huge!? Blinking in disbelief, I leaned against the desk and looked around.

“Hello there, you pedo bastards. Thanks for working hard to pretend to be normal.”

Still no reaction?

Why!?

Is that promotional video actually a hypnosis app?

Did I cast a curse that makes people enjoy being verbally abused by a Mesugaki?

I’m seriously gonna lose my mind!

“I don’t want to waste time with you guys, so I’ll get straight to the point. Auntie.”

As Karia placed a crystal ball in the center of the long desk, a large map appeared.

“First, the sloppy ones living next to the large dungeon need to be focused on. They’ll start popping up one by one.”

The most annoying enemy, the Dark Evil God, has long been devoured by Erginius.

The Void Evil God was heavily beaten last time, so he won’t be able to do much, and the Fire Evil God hasn’t fully recovered from the wounds he got from me, so managing these two shouldn’t be that hard.

Now the only one left is the Evil God of Destruction, but he’s being tossed around by Lasha, and we have a rough idea on how to deal with him too.

From a veteran gamer’s perspective, I was rambling on while ignoring various prerequisites when I started feeling doubt halfway through.

Why isn’t anyone asking questions?

“Only good at burning things, that shoddy idiot…”

I informed them of the strategy against the Evil God that hasn’t appeared even once since the Age of Myth.

“This place that looks like a shithole will likely have a problem real soon. Here…”

I explained things as if predicting what would happen next, and,

“There’s no need to be scared. What’s here…”

I described the enemies lurking in places the locals haven’t even heard of and how to tackle them, and they just accepted it!

Shouldn’t at least one of them question its validity or suggest better methods? Come on, at least ask for some rational explanation!

Don’t accept it!

Even with the distortion of the Mesugaki skill making things hard to comprehend, Karia interpreted it and they nodded silently.

What gives? Am I hallucinating? I checked around hoping for answers but concluded that everything I saw was real.

“Looks like things will get busy moving forward.”

“Apostle of Magic! I have something to discuss…”

“Apostle of the Mountains! I seek your insights…”

Just as I finished my explanation, people clustered together to share their opinions.

I nearly lost my mind at their seemingly erasure of skepticism and genuinely wished for the world to doom, earnestly.

“Apostle of God! May I ask you something?”

What?! What?! Ask anything! I’ll do my best to answer within what I know.

Haaah. Thank goodness these gathered folks aren’t complete morons who can only lean on a woman’s words.

Still, the person from the Magic Empire is pretty sharp…

“Could you show us the Divine Sun?”

Cancel that. This guy’s a moron too. An obnoxiously brazen and stupid one at that.

Trying my best to cuss him with my eyes, the Empire guy was too busy staring at me with hopeful eyes.

Others around him were no different.

Watching the idiot who had the guts to ask the Empire person raise his thumb, I sighed. Even getting mad feels bothersome.

I mean, will these guys even get angry if I shout at them?

If they were capable of that, they would’ve yelled at me ages ago.

Feeling too lazy even to get mad, I gave a little sun to lighten things up, and gasps came from everywhere.

Let’s think positively. If they’re this stupid, they’ll definitely do their best to follow my orders.

“Pardon me for a moment!”

A clergy member burst through the door, gazing at the sun I created before shaking his head and continuing.

“We’ve detected the movement of a giant dungeon in the eastern part of Silverbrook. It’s a phenomenon similar to the last one in the Magic Empire!”

Is there already a problem over there?

I thought there’d still be a few days left, but I guess the increase in faith had a considerable impact.

Thinking it was time to move, I furrowed my brows before feeling the admiration-filled gazes pouring onto me.

What? What? That even the subordinates of the Evil God are making a scene and why are you all so in awe?

“Of course, it’s the Young Lady! To think that what you said would occur has happened!”

Only then did I realize the situation after hearing Phoebe’s admiration.

Ah, right. I did mention that something would happen over there, so they should be prepared.

From their perspective, it looks like the prophecy is coming true.

…But don’t you think the situation is flowing way too perfectly?

Shouldn’t it be normal to feel suspicious that something odd is going on this tight?

“Let’s move now!”

“I’ll accompany you!”

Nope. No hesitation at all.

At this point, isn’t it closer to faith than trust?

I’m actually scared that one day I might order them to lick my feet and they might gladly do so.

*

In a room somewhere in the mansion, the Pope leaned back in his chair in the dark, lightly tapping his hand and reflecting on recent events.

The subordinates of the Evil Gods are crumbling one by one.

They might not even qualify for deification, but still, they’re monsters who defeated numerous champions during the Age of Myth, and they’re strong enough to become the center of the giant dungeon.

However, they are dying without causing any significant damage.

The massive dungeon that should have taken months to conquer was completely understood before anyone even set foot in, and what should have been forgotten after the Age of Myth faded has been dissected to the point of being completely torn apart.

Did the heroes from the Age of Myth give them advice, perhaps? The Pope shook his head.

While I won’t deny that the heroes worked miracles, to be honest, they were stupid for their abilities.

There were countless instances of wondering why they made such mistakes from afar.

Maybe this is also part of the plan devised by the Apostle of God.

The one who had been hiding their identity has now widely revealed their splendor across the continent, and there must be a reason for it.

Looking at the two crystal balls on the desk, the Pope recalled the rumors of Erginius clashing with the God of Magic on the outskirts of the Magic Empire and chuckled.

They decided to settle their victory by facing off directly, given their evaluations of each other’s skills.

No matter how prideful those two might be, they wouldn’t engage in such a foolish act.

Anyway, the current situation isn’t that great.

While it’s a happy occurrence that the Apostle of God is worshiped, it’s troublesome that the subordinates of the Evil Gods are all disappearing.

They need to vanish along with the other deities, making things all the more convenient for my plan.

It’s earlier than expected, but I need to start moving soon.

As the Pope slowly rose from his seat, shuffling his feet, the floor disappeared to reveal a staircase.

What lay beneath were the corpses of several individuals.

Those who became prey in the strong person hunt.

Once, they held the title of Apostle of the Evil God and did their utmost to spread the glory of their god.

And those personally chosen by the Pope.

Looking at the corpses of what would have at least left a line in the chronicles of the continent, the Pope impassively bestowed upon them the authority of the Evil God.

Their deaths have finally come to an end.
