A few weeks had passed since the incident, and various theories had emerged in an attempt to explain what those things were. Additionally, Prime, Hulk, and the Abomination figures dominated social media. The only reason Sara could still walk the streets was that technically, no one knew she was Prime.
While Sara wasn't truly concerned about being discovered or not, she felt relieved knowing she could trust Elizabeth and Bruce. After all, both were the only ones who knew who she was, and since no one had knocked on her door until that moment, it was safe to assume that neither had shared this information with others. One morning, Sara woke up in her bed in the small apartment, yawning.
(Good morning, Sara)
Upon hearing Prime's words in her mind, Sara found it somewhat ironic that this was the first time someone had wished her a good morning. She thought that maybe this was how normal families acted, with mothers, fathers, or partners saying good morning to each other.
"Morning, Prime... How long have you been awake?"
Sara asked, stretching. Upon hearing Prime's words in response, she headed to the bathroom to start her morning routine. Soon after, she went to the kitchen and prepared her breakfast.
(Not too long, actually. Maybe about twenty minutes? Anyway, I've been making money for us while you were sleeping. I invested in some companies and will probably have a good return in the future. I hope we can move to a more luxurious apartment soon)
As she listened, Sara enjoyed her coffee, contemplating the street beyond her apartment window. Nothing interesting was happening, and Sara didn't anticipate anything more intriguing than facing two incredibly powerful creatures happening anytime soon. For now, she preferred to direct her attention to other matters.
"Alright then. Do you need me to do anything? Maybe I can help you... I mean, I don't think you can really talk to someone..."
Sara held back her laughter as she said this, and Prime, in her mind, remained silent, wondering where this girl had learned to mock aliens. But as the saying goes, he who laughs last, laughs best.
(Actually, there is something I would like you to do for me. It would be a great help, as it is directly related to the future of the company I am planning to create)
Upon hearing Prime's words, Sara felt genuine curiosity, but for some reason, there was something in Prime's tone that made her consider she might regret teasing him.
"...and what would that be?"
As she spoke those words, Sara would swear she noticed a smile on Prime's lips, even though he technically wasn't in front of her.
"What do you think about going to school?"
Upon hearing these words, Sara's only reaction was to raise her eyebrows.
"Are you serious?"
Upon hearing this, Prime reaffirmed.
"Of course, why would I joke?"
Messing with her white hair slightly, Sara asked.
"Why?"
Hearing this, Prime began to explain, as if he had been expecting this question.
(It's quite simple, actually. As you must know, I wouldn't be able to talk to someone without revealing what I am. So, I want you to study and, at the very least, finish high school. At that point, it wouldn't be so strange for you to be the owner of the company I'll be creating)
Upon hearing this, Sara finished her coffee and glanced once again at the street. There were no real reasons for Sara to decline Prime's proposal. The reason she didn't attend school was simply that she thought she would waste too much time. However, now that she technically had time, it wouldn't be a bad idea to reconsider the idea.
"Alright, anyway, you should know that, actually, I like school"
While discussing the matter, two knocks on the door caught their attention. Sara was puzzled as she wasn't expecting any visitors. Furthermore, the last time something similar happened, she had to literally jump out of the apartment window, and the expense fell on her, taking money out of her own pocket.
"Who is it?"
Hearing Sara's words, Prime heightened his senses, realizing two people were standing on the other side of the door. While one of them was standing, the other seemed to be in a wheelchair. Moreover, both showed no hostility.
(Seems alright. I don't sense anything from them. Maybe they are people looking for information?)
Prime pondered. Hearing this, Sara looked ironically at the door.
"So, why our apartment?"
Sara's question even confused Prime.
(I can't say. Anyway, I think it'll be fine. Worst case, we can just devour them)
Prime joked. Hearing this, Sara remained silent for a few seconds.
"I'm surprised at myself for thinking, for a second, that this was a good idea"
Prime chuckled.
(I guess we're becoming more alike every day)
Setting aside the inside jokes, Sara cautiously moved to the door. As she reached the handle, she opened it just a crack, enough for her head to peek outside. Seeing a bald man in a wheelchair and another with a rough appearance, Sara asked,
"Can I help you with something?"
Upon spotting the young girl in front of them, both men exchanged glances for a brief moment. Then, the man in the wheelchair nodded. Sara didn't fully grasp the meaning of this gesture but chose to wait for one of the two men to start the conversation. Shortly after, they both turned their attention back to the girl, and it was the man in the wheelchair who began to speak.
"Young lady, could we come in for a little chat? I promise it will be brief. Besides, I'm sure this conversation will be extremely important for you in the future"
Upon hearing the man's words, Sara felt perplexed. How could he claim it would be important for her or not, considering it was the first time they had seen each other?.
