Chapter - 6: Jessica Jones
---------
I was sitting in the school cafeteria, sinking my teeth into the Biggest Burger Challenge, while my mind buzzed with thoughts and strategies. The juicy taste of the meat filled my mouth, a small consolation compared to the dryness of the fried chicken I had taken as a side.
As I chewed, I couldn't help but think about the extra calories I was consuming. It was way more than "normal" even for Peter after being bitten by the spider, and he probably never had to worry about things like this.
But me, with the symbiote inside me, I needed way more energy just to make sure it wouldn't devour me, since I had no idea which version of it I was dealing with — the one from the movies or the comics.
And then there was the issue of how to use those powers. I knew the symbiote would give me an edge in combat. My reflexes were sharper, and speed wasn't exactly a problem.
But all of that still wasn't enough for me.
I needed to train, to really learn how to fight. I couldn't just rely on the boost the symbiote gave me anymore; if I wanted to be a true hero, I had to master the art of combat as well.
Peter Parker, the original Spider-Man, had been battling all kinds of enemies for over a year. I, on the other hand, was still at the beginning of my journey. I didn't have his experience, and I needed more time to get used to my powers.
It was all so new, and honestly, I already felt completely overwhelmed by the situation. Especially when I thought about a potential fight with the Sinister Six, a team that would give even Peter a hard time.
Me? Would I stand a chance against them? Maybe, if I let the symbiote take full control of my body, like in Spectacular Spider-Man. But that option didn't sit well with me.
There was another issue: not being able to fully control my strength, I could accidentally kill them, and I had no intention of going down that path.
After all, there are plenty of examples that highlight just how strong Spider-Man is. Specifically, Peter Parker from Earth-616 always holds back when fighting humans, criminals, and even mutants. If he used his full strength against them, he'd seriously injure or worse, but he always avoids that, even in situations of extreme danger.
Spider-Man survived a fight with a Phoenix-empowered Namor, Magik, Colossus, and Emma...
When Kingpin nearly killed Aunt May, Peter crushed Kingpin effortlessly, clearly showing that Spider-Man could have easily killed him if he wanted to.
When Doc Ock took over Spider-Man's body in the Superior Spider-Man series, he was astonished by the sheer power Peter possessed. During a fight with Scorpion, using Spider-Man's strength, he threw a single punch and completely shattered his opponent's jaw with such ease that it left him in disbelief.
This proves how immense Spider-Man's strength truly is, a power Peter always tried to control, avoiding severely injuring his enemies. Even Doc Ock, with all his intelligence and arrogance, wasn't prepared to handle such a reality.
All of these feats show that Spider-Man was incredibly strong, and he didn't take most of his opponents seriously because he wasn't trying to kill them or put them in a coma.
Even the people Peter had fought before didn't mean he knew exactly how hard they could hit.
After all, many of Spider-Man's enemies are just "guys in funny costumes" rather than true superhumans. That's why he always holds back from using his full strength to avoid killing anyone. Otherwise, I can guarantee you, he could easily be one of the strongest heroes ever.
These thoughts plagued me as I finished the last bite of my sandwich, my hands a bit greasy, and my stomach starting to grumble from the excess food. I needed to prepare, and soon.
But luckily, I was pretty confident that a few weeks of learning martial arts would be enough to build a foundation, and from there, I could develop my own fighting style.
I rummaged through my left pocket, pulling out the flyer I had found posted on one of the bulletin boards near a park not far from home. Martial Arts and Self-Defense Training with Sensei Colleen Wing, this could work, I thought, smoothing out the crumpled paper in my hands.
There was an image of a Yin-Yang symbol with two martial artists in high-kicking poses, with the words I had read printed in bold black letters.
Colleen Wing… Isn't she a recruiter for the Hand? But it was too good of an opportunity to pass up, plus it could give me the chance to meet Iron Fist and learn about the Ki.
After all, good old Spider-Man usually works with other heroes when dealing with villains far stronger than him. So, an extra boost wouldn't hurt.
I could even start hunting Fisk now, but I won't. Because I'd end up killing him. Not that I wouldn't kill him eventually... But if he dies now, it'll create a power vacuum, causing problems for regular people, and that's why Fisk has been so powerful, right?
Fisk will be crippled, one way or another, if he doesn't change.
But not yet...
Here's the problem: many economically powerful men will be in danger. When they get arrested, the country will experience crises in many areas, like the economy and lifestyle. There will be raids everywhere, and so on.
The situation isn't that simple. Everyone has a mind and a reason, and without restraints, these criminals will create chaos all over America, especially in New York. Many criminals want to become leaders of the underworld, so they trigger chaos, wars, gang fights.
The downfall of even one political figure in the country could throw the entire nation off balance. The lack of workforce to run the country will be a serious problem. Many political positions will collapse.
What will happen? The country will crumble...
I'll use this situation to learn more about the other criminal organizations here in New York. I'll find out everything about Fisk—his activities, his properties, his subordinates, and his allies.
And then I'll take it all from him. And I'll destroy what I don't need. From what I remember, Doc Ock did something similar, becoming practically the hidden boss of New York.
But, in the end, there were many possible solutions I could take. I just needed more time and notoriety to put all the pieces together and dethrone him from the empire he had built with his own hands.
While I was thinking about all this, a girl approached me with a warm and somewhat intimate smile. With a tall, athletic build, undoubtedly very sexy, her main feature was her big ass, and I too could not help but stare at her for a long time.
Her long, tousled black hair perfectly framed her face, accentuating her piercing blue eyes that seemed to radiate a strong and confident attitude, exuding a sense of self-assurance.
She wore simple, functional clothes—leather jackets, jeans, and boots—reflecting her style that basically told the world she didn't care what anyone thought.
It was clear she didn't conform to the typical high school stereotypes.
Jessica Jones.
"Hey, Peter, how are you?" she asked, her voice sweet and caring as she lightly touched my arm, sending a pleasant shiver down my spine.
"I'm good, thanks. Just thinking about some things—work stuff," I replied, feeling surprisingly comfortable, maybe because she was one of the few friends I had at the moment.
Her eyes showed genuine concern, and she nodded understandingly. "It must be exhausting, working at the Baxter Building and taking photos of Spider-Man at the same time. If there's anything I can do to help or cheer you up, let me know," she said, with sincere transparency.
Her intimate gesture and words made me feel really appreciated, and for a moment, I thought helping her had been one of the best decisions I had made, to have someone like Jessica in my life. "Thanks, Jessica. Your support means a lot to me," I said, my voice full of genuine gratitude.
She smiled warmly, and there was a glimmer of admiration in her eyes as she looked at me. "You don't have to go through all this alone. I'm here for you," she said, her voice sweet and comforting.
Her gesture of support made me feel deeply appreciated by her. But there were some things, unfortunately for her, that I still couldn't reveal. "And I'm here for you, Jessica. If you ever need to talk or need support, I'll be there," I responded, wanting her to know I valued our friendship.
As the conversation continued, for the first time since I had landed in this world, I felt truly calm, forgetting about the crowded cafeteria around us and the endless thoughts about being Spider-Man. It gave me a brief moment of peace.
Curious to know more about her plans, I asked, "So, do you have any exciting plans coming up?"
Her eyes lit up with excitement as she shared, "Actually, yes! I'm going to a photography exhibit with a friend. It's going to be really cool."
I admired her passion for photography and her artistic spirit. "That sounds amazing. You've always been into photography, right?" I asked, genuinely interested in learning more about her interests.
Jessica nodded enthusiastically, a sweet smile lighting up her face. "Yeah, it's one of my biggest passions. And after seeing you become Spider-Man's official photographer, it inspired me," she said with a big smile.
I couldn't help but be happy for her, knowing she had found something she truly loved doing. "I'd love to see your work sometime," I said, eager to learn more about this side of her that she was so passionate about.
A blush colored her cheeks as she replied, "I'd be really happy to show you my photos one day, maybe you could even give me some advice," she suggested.
"Of course, I'd love to," I replied, "If you want, I could even be a model for some shots, though I'm not that handsome."
"I'd love that!" She blurted out, causing me to stare at her in surprise at her exaggerated reaction.
"I-I mean, if you're okay with it, I wouldn't mind," Jessica stammered, trying to hide her increasingly red face with her arms, clearly embarrassed.
Our conversation continued effortlessly, and Jessica suggested we do something together. "Hey, why don't we plan a fun day out? We could go to an amusement park or see a movie."
Hearing her words, I couldn't help but smile sincerely, "Sure, I'd love to," I responded, trying to remain calm, though my smile betrayed me.
As we continued to talk in the cafeteria, various thoughts crowded into my mind and I could not shake off a feeling of anger and desire for violence given the fate that awaited her in the coming years.
Jessica had become a close friend to the Peter Parker of this world, and I knew our bond would continue to strengthen over time. I didn't know if this friendship would evolve into something more, or if we'd remain just friends.
But one thing was certain... I would hunt Zebediah Killgrave down, and once I found him, I would make him regret every moment of his existence in every dimension until he begged for his pathetic life.
In this I had not changed if someone had hurt the people I really cared about, I would have shown them how poisonous a spider can be.
The moment between us was tender and full of unspoken emotions....
When the bell rang, signaling the end of lunch, Jessica gently brushed my cheek before awkwardly walking away. "Let's plan that day soon, okay? It'll be fun," she said, with a playful gleam in her eyes.
I gave a small smile, feeling a sense of normalcy that I deeply appreciated, and the idea of spending more time with Jessica outside of school was very appealing. "Sounds like a great idea," I responded, gently running my hand through her hair as if she had done something well.
"Mhp," Jessica made a small pout, but she didn't pull my hand away from her head. She seemed to enjoy the closeness between us.
"I care about you, Jessica."
Her gaze softened, and it seemed like she wanted to say something. But in the end, she simply spoke what she was thinking at that moment, just for the two of us. "I know, dummy..."
