Marvel: Incursio

Chapter 14: Awakening 2

Liam was outnumbered, but he no longer cared. The fire in his soul burned brighter, Incursio blazing, its handle shifting forward. 'We can do this. We HAVE to do this,' Liam screamed out in his mind.

The air around him began to change, the pressure in the atmosphere thickening as a deep crimson aura erupted from his body, swirling around him like flames. The Yakuza soldiers faltered, their confidence wavering in the face of this supernatural transformation.

Liam could feel the energy surging within him, the despair and anger melding into something greater. Thoughts of broken families and the senseless cruelty of people like Sato filled him with immense rage. This was never about revenge; it was about protecting the innocent and ending the tyranny of the Yakuza.

As the anger surged, he heard Balut's voice echo in his mind, as if carried on the winds of fate: "Set your soul ablaze, scream it out now!" Channeling that fire, he roared, "Incursio!"

In that moment, a familiar figure began to manifest behind him—a massive, grey armor embracing him, merging with him, granting him power. As his strength increased, the armor formed around his body. The transformation was strange, a rush of power coursing through his veins; he felt all his senses heighten—his eyes, ears, all his senses.

After the armor fully encased him, Liam took a determined step forward, his presence becoming monstrous and overwhelming. "You think you have the right to execute and dictate the lives of innocents?" he growled, his voice resonating with newfound power. "You have no idea how wrong you are."

Instinctively, Liam summoned Neuntote, the massive spear materializing in his armored hand. "These are your consequences," he said as he raised Neuntote high in the air, the crimson aura pulsating with an intensity that made the very air shimmer. Bullets fired at him, but they bounced harmlessly off the armor, repelled by the armor's sheer strength.

With one fluid, diagonal strike, Liam swept Neuntote through the air. Soldiers, some standing four meters away, others ten, never stood a chance. The spear cut through the air, and eight men fell in an instant—some left headless, others cleaved in half. The brutality of the moment was immense, a visual reminder of his resolve.

In the corner of the room, I stood frozen, armed but visibly nervous. My confidence evaporated in the face of this chaos, or rather, because of what caused it. ''What the hell is happening?'' Panic surged within me as I gripped my gun tighter. 'This should've been just another clean-up case,' I thought, fear planted itself in my heart. The crimson aura surrounding the invader intensified, pulsing and swirling around him.

Before I could fully comprehend what was unfolding, I witnessed something beyond imagination: a massive, grey armor took form behind the intruder; the armor seemed alive. It leaned down, embracing him like a living person. Then, the massive figure vanished, leaving behind a smaller figure clad in the same armor. He stood tall, encased in grey armor, his eyes glowing with fierce red crosses, tears streaming down his face before being concealed by the yellow visor of the helmet.

"What... What the hell is this?" I stammered, my confidence crumbling.

With a swift, commanding motion, the intruder summoned a weapon again. A spear materialized effortlessly in his armored hand, the aura surrounding him growing stronger, as if feeding on the fear and desperation of those around him.

Taking a determined step forward, the intruder's presence became monstrous and overwhelming. "You think you have the right to execute and dictate innocent lives?" he said again, his voice loud, filled with power. "You have no idea how wrong you are.''

My heart raced, confusion and terror fighting for control. "What do we do?" I shouted, but the other soldiers stood frozen, confused and terrified by the spectacle unfolding before them. Some whispered, "Monster," their voices trembling with disbelief as they watched him summon a spear out of thin air.

"These are your consequences," the intruder declared, his voice echoing as he raised his spear high in the air. The air crackled with energy, a huge pressure appearing around him. He swung his spear down, and the immense pressure was unleashed. The soldiers, who had initially braced themselves, suddenly found their heads falling and bodies collapsing, cut in half in an instant.

Then chaos erupted.

The room descended into chaos as everyone scrambled for their lives. Bullets rang out, bouncing off the walls, but the intruder was unstoppable. "You wanted to watch them die?" The intruder shouted, his voice filled with fury. "Then watch this!"

The crimson aura was absorbed back into the intruder, his movements filled with determination and power. Each step, every swing brought death and despair. Each killed gang member brought him closer to me.

My heart raced, confusion and terror battling for control. 'Monster,' I thought, fear clutching my chest. 'This isn't just a fight. This is a massacre.' I watched in horror as the intruder moved around like a wild beast, the once-ordinary man now transformed into a monster.

Some soldiers charged at him, only to be slashed in half or punched into walls, their bodies flung back with the force of the monster's strength. One soldier collided with another, both of them collapsing to the ground, lifeless. The ones who tried to escape weren't much better off; the monster was faster, cutting down any who dared reach the exit with merciless precision.

"Stay back!" I screamed, desperation filling my voice as I scrambled to regain control. But it was too late. The monster was relentless, carving a path through the chaos with his spear, each swing accompanied by screams and death. More gang members fell, their faces twisted in fear as they realized they were no match against the monster.

As more soldiers fell, the monster stood in the middle of the chaos, the sounds of the battle fading into the background. He turned to face me, his helmet casting a shadow over his glowing eyes.

Then, with a sharp movement, he raised his spear once more, and in that moment, everything was enveloped in darkness.
