Chapter 5: Unleashing Cybernetic Powers in the Marvelverse - edited
Alex with the aim to master all the combat moves he learned using shards. Like many transmigrators he have read, that have gone to a superhero world, he had two choices – be a hero or a villain. Alex went for the good side, especially in Marvel, where heroes sometimes have to take down villains for good. He actually has a dream of becoming an anti-hero but his safety comes first. Only fools or someone with unrivalled power will go out on their way to do that.
In the dim-lit streets of Hell's Kitchen, the sound of roaring engines filled the air as Alex raced on a sleek black Quadra Type-66 "Javelina" with subtle accents of blue and hints of red, hot on the trail of a van filled with illegal goods, driven by the Russian gang. The city's worn-out roads echoed with the Quadra's growl as he pursued the van.
Inside the white van, the Russian gang members exchanged wary glances as the monstrous black Quadra Type-66 "Javelina" closed in on their van. Gang Member A, uneasy, muttered, "What the hell is that beastly car that is chasing us?" Gang Member B, irritated, shot back, "I don't know, and I don't give a damn. Just take him out."
Gang Members C and D hastily swung open the side door of the van, leaning out with weapons in hand. Their intent was clear – to shoot the Quadra's tires and put an end to the relentless pursuit. Amidst the chaos, a frustrated gang member complained, "It ain't working! His tires seem to be bulletproof or something." Another gang member, incredulous, yelled, "What the hell? Bulletproof tires? Just keep shooting! Windows, try it all!"
Despite their relentless efforts, the bullets seemed to have no effect on the beastly Quadra Type-66 "Javelina." The car powered through, undeterred, leaving the gang members bewildered and increasingly desperate.
Sporting a battle outfit eerily familiar to the Arkham Knight from the game, Alex grinned from inside the Quadra Type-66 "Javelina." "Activate Power Winch," he said while pushing a button. In front of the Quadra, a massive grappling hook shot out, snaring the van and bringing it to a sudden, screeching halt.
Skynet: "Do you really have to say it out loud? It's not voice-activated, you know."
Alex: "You won't understand it; it's a man's dream. And I gotta say, you're getting more talkative as time goes by."
With the van stuck on the grappling hook, Alex switched gears. The Quadra roared, tires screeching as he skillfully backed up, using the winch to stop the van from getting away.
Inside the Quadra, Skynet's voice chimed in, "Impressive maneuver, Alex. Just be mindful of the car's limits."
Alex, focused on the chase, responded with a determined grin. "Don't worry, Skynet. This baby can pull tanks with no problem, so don't worry." The Quadra's reverse motion intensified, the winch holding the van firmly.
Alex swung the door open, exiting the Quadra. "Skynet, take the wheel," he instructed, leaving the car under the AI's control. Approaching the halted van, Alex smoothly pulled out his Smart Pistol, named Skippy, that has a unique AI. "Alright, Skippy, activate Stone Cold Killer," Alex commanded. Skippy responded with a playful hum, "Yes Boss! Dum dum bi dam dam." With the gun activated, Alex swiftly shot out the van's tires, making sure the van couldn't run.
Inside the van, tension rose among the gang members. The leader, frustrated and angry pointed at the van's door. "Just step out!" he ordered, his tone seething with anger. "Shoot him!"
As the gang members stepped out, they were met with the imposing sight of his sleek tactical suit, predominantly black with angular armor plates. The suit also had a camo-colored touch with blue and red. The helmet featured a blue visor which fully covers the entire face with blue glowing eyes, resembling a menacing and stylized skull face.
"Shoot him! What the hell? Why isn't he going down?" the gang leader exclaimed in frustration.
"I think he's bulletproof or something?" suggested Gang Member A.
"You think?" retorted Gang Member B skeptically.
Unleashing a barrage of bullets, the gang members stared in disbelief as the rounds struck Alex's armored tactical suit, creating a shower of sparks.
"I thought we had some firepower! What's up with this guy?" the leader questioned, clearly frustrated.
"Maybe he's an alien or something. You know, from outer space!" speculated Gang Member B.
"This ain't a sci-fi movie, idiot! Just keep shooting!" the leader snapped back.
As Alex calmly walked towards the gang members, their fear heightened.
"I told you we shouldn't have messed with that weird-looking car! We were already set for the day with the things we sold," panicked Gang Member C.
"Shut up and shoot! We need to figure out how to take this guy down!" the leader commanded, growing more desperate.
As Alex continued his relentless approach, undeterred by the futile gunfire, the gang members' panic escalated.
"What if he's a robot, like a Terminator or something?" suggested Gang Member B.
"A Terminator? Are you high? Just keep shooting and hope something works!" the leader exclaimed, trying to maintain control in the face of uncertainty.
Alex stepped forward, wearing his Arkham Knight-inspired battle outfit. The gang members, caught off guard, hesitated, unsure of what to do next.
Alex raises a sleek, futuristic pistol with a clean white body and a solid black grip. It has a vivid red component at the back and at the upper front part it has a yellow scope-like structure reaching the front end of the muzzle and a circular object below hinted at high-tech features.
"Alright, Skippy, let's give them a non-lethal lesson, Puppy Loving Pacifist mode," Alex declared.
Skippy, responding with a playful hum, chimed in, "Dum dum bi dam dam," and pulled the trigger.
The smart pistol, responded to Alex's command with a burst of non-lethal bullets that dispersed in four different directions. The dazzling light pulses struck one of the gang members, knocking them out cold and rendering them temporarily incapacitated.
Seizing the opportunity, Alex moved swiftly, disarming one of the gang members effortlessly. With his T-X mechanical arm, he clenched the weapon, crushing it into a twisted heap of metal.
Gang Member stared in disbelief, "What the... how can he crush a gun with his bare hands?"
With an enigmatic calmness, Alex stared at him, in his sleek Arkham Knight-like armor and said "You know, I've always believed in recycling."
Before the terrified gang members could comprehend the situation, Alex, akin to a shadowy vigilante, executed a precise karate chop leaving him sprawled on the ground, unconscious.
As another adversary lunged towards him, Alex seamlessly shifted into a martial arts stance. A swift, well-timed kick sent the gang member hurtling through the air, crashing into the side of a nearby van with a resounding thud.
The remaining foes, now wary of the formidable adversary before them, hesitated. Alex, displaying the fluidity of a seasoned combatant, continued his non-lethal onslaught. With a calculated series of strikes, spins, and judo throws, Alex incapacitated the remaining gang members. As the alley fell silent, the defeated figures lay scattered, a testament to the seamless integration of advanced cybernetics and combat expertise.
Alex, not even breaking a sweat, put his gun back into the holster and surveyed the scene. The alley, once a battleground, now bore the aftermath of a virtuoso performance, leaving no doubt about Alex's mastery in the art of controlled and non-lethal combat.
Noticing that the van was carrying drugs, Alex decided to take matters into his own hands. Using one of his smart incendiary grenades, he strategically set the illicit cargo ablaze, ensuring the destruction of the majority of the drugs. However, he left a small, controlled amount for evidence, allowing law enforcement to assess and investigate the scene.
As the flames consumed the drugs, Alex made a quick exit from the scene. With a swift move, he activated his Quadra's chameleon cloak, blending seamlessly into the surroundings. Bystanders, who had witnessed the entire intervention, stood in amazement as the mysterious figure disappeared, leaving the gritty streets of Hell's Kitchen in the wake of a vigilant and awe-inspiring act.
