Marvel: I Started by Containing SCPs

Chapter 200: Chapter 200

As the screen's voice echoed, a strange staff appeared in Strange's hands.

One end of the staff resembled a planet, while the other formed a crescent moon. Its design was bizarre and otherworldly.

"Whoa! This thing's heavy!" Strange exclaimed, struggling to hold it upright with all his strength.

["The Staff of Apocalypse Revelation originates from a universe where a certain race specialized in planetary destruction. A mere tap on the ground can disturb a planet's core, triggering natural disasters. If its power is fully unleashed, one strike could obliterate Earth. Additionally, it can summon massive meteors to destroy planets."]

The screen's explanation left everyone stunned.

"What?! A weapon capable of destroying planets?!" Strange instinctively dropped the staff, stepping back to put distance between himself and the terrifying artifact.

Tony Stark: "My god! If that thing can destroy planets, Strange could wipe out Earth if he wanted to!"

Steve Rogers: "Unbelievable... What a terrifying weapon!"

Thor: "A staff like that might even surpass my father's Odin's Spear."

Odin: "Don't make baseless claims!"

Bruce Wayne: "This is incredibly dangerous. If Strange ever loses control, he could threaten the entire world!"

Nick Fury: "Indeed. We can't just sit back. We need to—"

Mordo: "Are you suggesting imprisoning one of us and confiscating his staff? Don't even think about it!"

Wong: "Exactly! The staff belongs to Strange, a Kamar-Taj magician. If you dare make a move, don't blame us for being ruthless!"

Nick Fury's expression darkened at their blunt responses. As much as he disliked it, he knew better than to provoke Kamar-Taj. Strange's power alone was intimidating, and who knew what other magicians were capable of?

Not to mention the enigmatic bald woman and the staff itself—both made Fury hesitate to act recklessly.

Nick Fury: "Relax. I'm not planning anything. I deeply respect your efforts in protecting the world. I simply suggest mutual oversight to ease everyone's concerns."

Ancient One: "Kamar-Taj has no intention of forming close ties with external forces. Rest assured, our matters are not your concern."

Fury fell silent, his fingers tapping the table betraying his frustration.

"It seems communicating with those magicians will be difficult. We can only hope they don't misuse their power," Natasha Romanoff said helplessly.

"I never rely on hope," Fury replied coldly.

"I propose developing a system to monitor the Earth's crust. If Strange ever uses that staff, we'll know immediately," Stark suggested.

"Not a bad idea," Fury nodded.

"But such a project will require substantial funding. I already have numerous research projects in progress," Stark added, subtly hinting.

"I'll allocate some funds for you," Fury replied nonchalantly, as if money were no issue. Manipulating government budgets was second nature to him.

At Kamar-Taj

Strange stared at the cumbersome yet terrifying staff with a mix of awe and fear. Gaining such a powerful artifact was undeniably advantageous, but the thought of accidentally destroying the planet filled him with dread.

"Magical tools aren't inherently good or evil. Their use depends entirely on their wielder," Ancient One said calmly as she approached.

"Master, can I even handle such a weapon?" Strange asked hesitantly.

"That depends on whether you're willing to accept it," she replied with a smile.

"I'm worried I might accidentally destroy the Earth one day," Strange admitted with a wry smile.

"Don't worry. I'll stop you before that happens," Ancient One reassured him. With her around, Strange wouldn't have the chance to misuse the staff.

Relieved by her words, Strange cautiously picked up the staff again. However, its immense weight caused him to lose his grip, and it fell to the ground.

"Boom!"

The impact triggered a massive earthquake. Snow-capped mountains began to shake, unleashing avalanches and rockfalls.

Acting quickly, the Ancient One opened a portal, transporting herself, Strange, and the staff back to Kamar-Taj, avoiding the calamity.

Still trembling, Strange stammered incoherently, his teeth chattering in shock.

"You might want to train your strength. Otherwise, you'll bring down Kamar-Taj itself by accident," the Ancient One said with a sigh.

["The Staff of Apocalypse Revelation can adjust its form and weight according to its wielder's preference,"] the screen announced helpfully.

"Oh, it can do that? Then..." Strange paused, considering his options.

"Turn into an iPhone!"

The staff glowed brightly, shrinking and reshaping itself. When the light faded, it had transformed into an iPhone.

Even the Ancient One couldn't help but gape at the unexpected development.

Excitedly, Strange picked up the phone and found it remarkably lightweight. "This is perfect!"

["Prediction: Two new SCP entities will appear—the Snow Mountain King and the Underground Flame Giant."]

The screen displayed an image. It depicted a snowy mountain with a figure clad in full climbing gear, their face obscured by goggles and a mask. At first glance, they looked like an ordinary mountaineer, completely unremarkable as a containment entity.

["Legends of snow monsters exist wherever there are snowy mountains. Based on investigations, these tales likely originate from the Snow Mountain King."]

["The Snow Mountain King resides at altitudes exceeding 8,000 meters on Mount Everest. In these harsh conditions—extreme cold, low pressure, and insufficient oxygen—it thrives as though in its natural habitat."]

["Its appearance resembles a person in climbing gear, but whether the gear is part of its skin or its body is unclear."]

["Many climbers have reported seeing the Snow Mountain King scaling cliffs without footholds or gliding effortlessly over treacherous snowy terrain. However, its most terrifying aspect is its mysterious abilities."]
