Marvel : Godly Lottery System

Chapter 355: Invitation

"Mr. Zane Sy, I am Maitlan, and on behalf of the Watchers, I extend to you a most sincere invitation!"

"We invite you to join us in the Domain of Watchers."

"The Domain of Watchers? That's where those little bald-headed ones live, isn't it? Why are they inviting me there…"

Zane murmured to himself, unsure of what they wanted, so he decided to ask directly:

"Why have you come here?"

"Any group familiar with the ancient history of this universe would know that we Watchers and the Celestials go way back, connected since the beginning of the universe."

"And it's precisely because of this that we are particularly well-versed with the Celestials' 'Cosmic Judgement Order.'"

Upon hearing this, Zane instantly grasped the underlying message:

"By 'well-versed,' I assume that means you too were once hunted across the universe by the Celestials under that 'Cosmic Judgement Order'..."

"As such, when the 'Cosmic Judgement Order' is issued, we Watchers are able to discern this information right away—something not easily accessible to other species."

"After all, many times, the 'Cosmic Judgement Order' is linked to major events in the universe."

"As cosmic Watchers, it is our duty to document these events for future generations."

"So, you tracked me down through the 'Cosmic Judgement Order' and followed me here?"

Zane interjected with a question...

"Indeed. We detected that you had been targeted by the 'Cosmic Judgement Order,' and we immediately retrieved information about you."

"However, when we finally came to visit, we discovered the 'Cosmic Judgement Order' had disappeared."

"Shortly after, we detected a tremendous surge of energy in the universe, which led us to surmise that Arishem, the Celestial Judge, had broken the ancient seal."

"At that time, we didn't realize it was you who was battling Arishem."

"So they were already here at that time... which means they observed all of the battles that followed..."

Zane thought to himself. He knew that, given the Watchers' long history of conflicts with the Celestials spanning millions of years, they must have accumulated information about Arishem's seal.

Thus, it wasn't surprising that they were able to deduce what was happening and arrive immediately once Arishem's seal was broken.

Now, should he go back with them?

If it weren't for the Watchers, but someone else arriving at a different time, Zane could have returned to the Divine Kingdom and discussed things with his companions.

But in front of these Watchers, who seemed unassuming but were actually sharp-eyed, Zane didn't want to reveal too much.

He suddenly turned to the tall, bald-headed leader across from him and asked, "What's the current time? According to Earth standard time, where I was born."

The head Watcher was momentarily taken aback, then answered with machine-like precision:

"Current time, Earth Gregorian calendar: December 3, 2007, 5:17:43 and 72 milliseconds..."

Uh...

They really do report time down to the millisecond...

'These Watchers are more meticulous than Skynet.'

'Seems that the recent fight with all those Celestials didn't take as much time as I thought. Only a day and a half has passed since Skynet last reported time...'

Zane couldn't help but roll his eyes and mutter inwardly, then suddenly spoke out loud:

"So, in other words, we're not starving to death anytime soon, right?"

Zane was referring to Rocket and the others back in the Divine Kingdom, but this seemingly random statement took on a different meaning in the Watchers' ears.

"Mr. Zane Sy, our Lookout has energy replenishment equipment, and we could also prepare some simple food for you shortly."

"Of course, once we arrive at the Domain of Watchers, you'll find much finer delicacies awaiting you."

The head Watcher followed up with another courteous invitation and then bowed respectfully, waiting for Zane's response.

Zane also wanted to take this opportunity to learn more about the true history of the Marvel Universe from this ancient race, the Watchers.

Especially regarding those supreme deities that, in the original texts, were mentioned only in fragments.

It was foreseeable that, sooner or later, these deities would get entangled with Zane in one way or another, though it was unclear who might become allies or enemies.

Therefore, he needed to be prepared in advance—to know his own strength and that of his potential adversaries.

As for whether these Watchers had their own motives, Zane didn't care much.

Not to mention his collection of game-changing skills, which could ensure his safe passage wherever he went;

Even based solely on his current standing as a high-tier seventh-dimensional being—a top-level dimensional entity in this universe—he was confident that he could force his way through almost any place.

Let alone this realm that only the diminutive Watchers inhabited.

With that, Zane stepped boldly toward the teleportation beam, a strange red glow in his eyes.

The Watchers around him couldn't help but show expressions of astonishment.

'This Earthling is quite something…' thought the Watcher leader following behind him.

Rumble!!!

Once everyone boarded the colossal telescope-shaped spaceship, a radiant wormhole opened up in the void.

In an instant, the entire ship slipped through it and vanished.

Following the Watchers to the so-called Domain of Watchers, Zane remained unaware of the larger impact his battle with the Celestials had made on the universe.

During the fierce fight, shockwaves had rippled through much of the universe.

After Zane's departure, the cosmos gradually settled back into calm.

Surviving planets continued their cycles, spinning and orbiting as always.

On worlds with primitive civilizations, people kept up their regular lives, farming at sunrise, resting at sunset.

On more advanced planets, wars and brutal conflicts continued, battles raging across entire planets.

Some with greater ambition persisted in exploring outer space, seeking the secrets of the universe.

To them, the massive cosmic wave was perhaps just a nearby star suddenly going dark or emitting bursts of gamma rays; or, it might've been a massive earthquake sweeping their entire planet.

They attached no deeper meaning to it.

Strange occurrences were merely taken as tales of monsters, things to discuss over idle meals.

High-dimensional beings, however, felt the difference far more acutely.

The Grandmaster, for instance, ever since he opened his doors to his fighting world countless millennia ago, mysteriously sealed off his pocket dimension after this cosmic wave.

He prohibited anyone from leaving or entering, hiding himself entirely from the universe.

His brother, the Collector, also disappeared from public view, taking his vast collection and leaving his settled planet.

Across the universe, some regions vanished mysteriously, while elsewhere, colossal giants hundreds of meters tall emerged out of nowhere.

The name Zane Sy was frequently on the lips of these giants, and eventually, they began to inquire about the "Death Alliance."

Yet, no matter who they asked, no one could provide any information about Zane or his companions' whereabouts.

Meanwhile, back on Earth, an event occurred that would entangle the entire planet in its wake.
