Chapter 352: Flaw

"Perfect timing. By stalling until now, the energy needed for the [Ultimate Eraser] is finally complete..."

It turns out that the man in orange armor had been preparing to charge his device all along.

As he finished speaking, the silver device in his hand began to emit an intense, terrifying wave, sparking a sense of helpless despair. Every celestial body within sight seemed to resonate with the dread, trembling uncontrollably.

In less than half a second, these celestial bodies compressed as if a massive force were pressing down on them. They shrank rapidly, transforming into small capsules that burst with a heart-stopping shockwave of light.

At that moment, the man in orange armor felt a light tap on his back.

*Slap!*

He held the charged [Ultimate Eraser] in his left hand and quickly swung his right fist toward the person behind him.

Naturally, it was Zane behind him.

Zane, seeing the fist coming his way, didn't dodge or defend. He took the punch head-on.

The impact caused an energy blast where the fist hit Zane, which he absorbed and transformed within himself.

"As expected, just like all Void Beings, you only take a physical form when attacking."

"Hm?"

The man in orange armor had known Zane would return from the higher dimension at some point. When he turned around, he saw Zane's triangular eye gleaming once again.

"So, you're provoking me to attack you now?"

"And what benefit does that bring you?"

With Zane's words, the man in orange armor hesitated, his figure flickering slightly.

Clutching the silver device, he flashed away from Zane.

"No, I was just confirming one last thing…"

Zane, watching the silver device glow brighter and brighter, replied calmly:

"My eyes can see through any substance, including abstract concepts."

"However, when I looked at you, I didn't see a single fatal point."

"This means either my eyes are flawed, or you're truly unkillable."

"But…"

"When I saw you initiate the attack just now, pulling the [Ultimate Eraser's] trigger—"

"Since the [Ultimate Eraser] only activates with your energy injection—"

"Even if it absorbs energy externally beforehand, the final trigger pull still requires you."

"At that moment, my eyes detected a fatal point on you."

"So, I realized—it's not a flaw in my eyes. The flaw is in you, isn't it?"

The man in orange armor listened to Zane's words, understanding instantly and continuing:

"So, what exactly is my flaw?"

"If I'm correct, you're similar to those 'past selves' you summoned before. You aren't the 'true self' belonging to this timeline."

"In other words, you're a projection from a future timeline."

"Therefore, you can bypass any of my attacks. Even if I were to destroy this entire dimension, it wouldn't matter, because your true form doesn't belong here."

"However, because of this, you can't maintain a constant state of intangibility like a higher-dimensional being descending to a lower dimension."

"To execute an attack, your consciousness must temporarily anchor to this timeline's material, even if only for a moment."

"That includes your weapon. Unlike your void-anchored dark matter, it's embedded in the absorbed photons."

Zane paused after speaking, watching like a panther waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

The man in orange armor smirked, nodding approvingly. "Well done, Earthling. You've guessed almost everything."

"Right now, I'm merely a projection from a dream two thousand years in the future."

"Back during the years of sealing, I learned to create weapons through dreams that wouldn't cause direct harm to this universe."

"Now that you understand my true state, how do you plan to deal with my [Ultimate Eraser]?"

"It's about to annihilate this dimension, you know?"

"Uh... to be honest, I haven't really figured that part out yet."

Zane chuckled awkwardly, "I only worked out how to deal with you."

"Oh, I see. So you plan to kill me right at the moment I pull the trigger?"

"Don't say I didn't warn you—even if you can move at the speed of light."

"But in such a short time, you can't possibly gather enough energy to kill me in a single strike, can you?"

Zane felt a pang of doubt. He hadn't expected the man in orange armor to realize that Zane's elemental form wouldn't generate the necessary strength for a one-hit kill.

Moreover, using the powers of a Logia-type Devil Fruit would drastically reduce his accuracy.

So, Zane couldn't guarantee hitting the man's fatal point in a single blow.

However, Zane hadn't intended to transform into light and kill him.

The man in orange armor continued, "Or perhaps you don't believe my [Ultimate Eraser] can destroy this entire dimension?"

"As you yourself said, I don't belong to this timeline. So even if it's destroyed, it wouldn't affect me much."

"Because, unlike the rest of the Celestials, I remain unique across the time axis."

"And as I mentioned earlier, this is just a dream of mine. I can use energy to repair the damage to the timeline instantly. It might require me to sleep for billions of years, though."

"But even if this dimension is restored, I can't say if you'd still exist afterward."

"If you doubt me, just wait and see, Earthling!"

*Boom!*

The trigger of the silver device twitched.

The [Ultimate Eraser] emitted a faint silver light, causing the entire universe to tremble.

Even stars light-years away were instantly annihilated.

Now!

Zane slipped into the seventh-dimensional space and appeared behind the armored man in an instant, knowing he couldn't dodge in his current state.

*Slap!*

With fingers sharpened like a blade, Zane struck down at the armored man.

"Heh, given up already?" The man became a shadow, phasing through Zane's attack as his fingers grazed his form.

Despite his taunts, he knew firsthand the power of Zane's red-eyed assault, and he wouldn't dare take it head-on.

Simultaneously, the terrifying energy from the [Ultimate Eraser] hesitated for a moment.

As he moved to pull the trigger again, he found himself involuntarily turning, slashing back toward Zane.

*Crack!*

A fierce punch cut through the void.

"Hm?"

The man muttered under his breath:

"So, you're still trying to provoke me into attacking you? What's in it for you?"

"It worked!" Zane darted aside, watching the armored man talk to himself.

"Ha! Giving up already?"
