Marvel Brodcast : Spoiling Spider-man

Chapter 17: Chapter 17: Bomb in the Face

[The children in the cable car screamed in panic, clutching the railings as tightly as they could. The teacher tried to maintain order, yelling for everyone to hold on and stay calm. Meanwhile, Mary Jane's voice rang out in fear as the cable car swayed dangerously. Peter's heart raced as his spider-sense alerted him to an even greater danger. He glanced up and saw that the web supporting the cable car was beginning to fray under the strain.]

[In the distance, a ship with its spotlight trained on the chaos approached slowly. Sailors on the deck shouted up to Peter, offering their help. "We'll position the ship right under you!" one of them called out. Relief flickered in Peter's chest, but it was short-lived. Above, the Green Goblin's sinister laughter echoed as he approached on his glider, heading straight for them.]

["It's back again!" Mary Jane cried, her voice trembling with terror. Peter quickly turned to her, trying to stay calm. "You need to climb down," he urged. But Mary Jane shook her head. "I can't! I'll fall!" she exclaimed, panic etched on her face. "You can do it, Mary!" Peter said firmly, his tone leaving no room for doubt. "Trust me! Hold on tight and start climbing down—now!" Mary Jane hesitated but began to inch her way down the cable.]

[As if to remind them of the stakes, another section of the web gave way, causing the cable car and everyone on it to lurch downward with a sickening jolt. Mary Jane screamed, clutching the cable tightly as she froze in place. Above, the Green Goblin circled back, his cruel laughter growing louder.]

[The Goblin struck Peter with a powerful blow, sending him spinning mid-air. Mary Jane's grip faltered, and for a terrifying moment, she nearly lost her hold entirely. Mustering all her strength, she clung to the cable as Peter struggled to regain his footing. He stabilized himself just in time, glaring at the approaching Green Goblin.]

["Come on, Spider-Man!" the Goblin taunted, landing another punch that sent Peter reeling. The force of the hit caused the cable to slip from his grasp, but Peter reacted quickly, shooting a webline to pull himself back into position. Mary Jane screamed again as she lost her grip and began to fall, but she managed to grab the edge of the cable car just before plummeting into the water below.]

[The Green Goblin, relentless in his attack, swooped down, his glider's sharp blade glinting in the light. Peter's grip on the cable was beginning to falter, and he slid down several inches. Just as the Goblin aimed a killing blow, something heavy struck him from above, knocking his glider off balance. Furious, he turned to see a group of onlookers on the bridge, pelting him with debris and shouting angrily. "Leave Spider-Man alone, you monster!" one man yelled.]

[The ship finally arrived beneath the cable car, and Peter carefully lowered it onto the deck. Cheers erupted from the onlookers as the cable car passengers, including the terrified children, were safely evacuated. Mary Jane watched in horror as the Green Goblin turned his attention back to Peter. "Spider-Man!" she screamed. The Goblin threw a steel cable around Peter's waist and yanked him off the bridge, dragging him through the air before hurling him into a nearby building.]

[Peter crashed through the wall of an abandoned house, landing in a heap. As he tried to rise, his spider-sense blared a warning. Looking up, he saw a pile of sharp debris directly above him, poised to fall. Reacting instinctively, he shot a webline and pulled himself out of harm's way just in time. The debris crashed down, splintering the floor where he had been lying moments before.]

[Before Peter could catch his breath, the Green Goblin followed him into the building, tossing a bomb in his direction. The explosive bounced on the floor before landing directly on Peter's face. Time seemed to freeze as the bomb detonated, the force of the blast ripping through the room.]

" Gasps filled the air as countless viewers watching The Screen witnessed the horrifying explosion.

"Oh no! Spider-Man!"

"Is he... is he okay? He has to be okay!"

"He... he's going to be okay, right? You better not die, man!"

Seeing Spider-Man being exploded in the face by the Green Goblin bomb, countless people began to worry about him. After all, they had seen the power of the Green Goblin bomb several times.

[When the dust settled, Peter's mask was partially destroyed, revealing half of his face. He was thrown through another wall, his body hitting a support pillar before collapsing to the ground. The Green Goblin landed in front of him, his expression twisted with anger. "You chose this fate, Spider-Man," he spat. "I treated you like a friend, but you looked down on me!"]

[Peter groaned as he struggled to his feet. The Green Goblin wasted no time, landing a heavy punch that Peter narrowly dodged. The reprieve was short-lived, as the Goblin followed with a brutal knee strike to Peter's stomach. Peter doubled over in pain as the Goblin delivered a flurry of blows, each one harder than the last.]

[Peter tried to use his webbing to create distance, but the Goblin kicked him back mid-air, sending him crashing into the ground. Desperate, Peter spun another web, trapping the Green Goblin temporarily. He rushed to attack, but the Goblin broke free and countered with a powerful kick that sent Peter flying into a wall.]

[Peter's body was battered and exhausted, his movements slower and more labored. He raised his arm to fire another webline, but the Green Goblin stomped on it, pinning him to the ground. "You're done, Spider-Man," the Goblin sneered. "If you hadn't been so selfish, I might have spared your little girlfriend a quick death. But now..." He leaned in, his voice dropping to a cruel whisper. "I'm going to make her suffer."]

In Stark Tower, Tony Stark shook his head, muttering to himself. "Classic villain mistake. Too much monologuing. Doesn't he know he's only making Spider-Man angrier"

"Peter's eyes have become murderous. Why did he had to push too much? Doesn't heknow that when an honest man gets angry, even he is afraid of himself?" Nick Fury used his one eye to accurately analyze Peter's psychology. He knew that the Green Goblin was going to suffer next.

["Mary and I will have a lot of fun!" the Green Goblin taunted. Peter's eyes hardened, his fury boiling over. With a sudden burst of strength, he grabbed the Goblin's blade mid-strike, his hand trembling with rage. He gritted his teeth, pushing the Goblin away with raw force. Before the Goblin could react, Peter ensnared his legs with webbing, causing him to lose balance and fall.]

[Peter pulled a section of the wall down with his webbing, smashing it onto the Goblin. As the villain struggled to free himself, Peter swung in and delivered a devastating punch to his mask, cracking it. He grabbed the Goblin by the neck, his fists raining down with relentless fury.]

[Finally, the Green Goblin raised a hand in surrender, gasping for mercy. He removed his cracked mask, revealing the face of Norman Osborn. "Peter," he said weakly, his voice trembling. "It wasn't me. It was the Goblin. I didn't want to hurt you. Please, you have to believe me."]

[Peter froze, his fists trembling. "You killed those people on the balcony," he growled. "You tried to kill Aunt May and Mary Jane!" Norman's eyes filled with tears. "That wasn't me! I couldn't stop the Goblin. I never wanted this!" he pleaded. But even as he spoke, his hand subtly moved to press a hidden switch on his arm.]

[Norman extended his other hand to Peter, his voice dripping with false sincerity. "Believe me, Peter. This is me, I always treat you as my own son." Unbeknownst to Peter, the glider was silently moving into position behind him.]
