<(Atem POV)>

"Heimdall, beam us up," Thor yelled while raising his hammer and looking up in the sky with a huge grin. For some reason, he was quoting Star Trek, probably a joke that he learned from Darcy or Jane.

He had already finished saying his goodbyes to Jane, Darcy, and Erik and had even promised them a tour of Asgard once he was done saving his homeland from the Frost Giants roaming about there currently. In fact, this didn't seem like a farewell at all. Instead, it was like he was just going to work and would be returning as soon as he finished his job. Thor really did seem like he had changed. From a spoiled war-loving prince who wanted to be king, he had now become a peaceful hammer-wielding brute who just wanted to have fun with his friends and family.

While we waited for Heimdall to "beam us up", Phil Coulson and some other Shield agents were also there standing with the three scientists while waiting with bated breaths and gleaming eyes to see the magnificent spectacle that Thor had promised them.

"... Heimdall? Umm, seems like he still might be angry with me. Just give it a little time. I am sure he won't deny his favorite prince." He awkwardly said while adjusting Loki's limp body on his shoulders.

"My brother will never abandon us. He was the one who let us escape here to Midgard in the first place. Something must have happened if he isn't answering our call." Lady Sif said out loud with a concerned frown on her face as she stared at the empty blue sky.

"Hey Atem, can't you open one of those red portal thingies straight to Asgard?" Darcy shouted from where she and the others were standing.

"They are not portals, they are called Boom tubes or in my case, Hush tubes. They are literally formed by puncturing a hole in the reality of this universe or multiple universes in some cases and then temporarily joining the two locations with a tube made of pure spatial and temporal energy. Yes, I could open a Hush Tube to Asgard or any of the nine realms for that matter, but first I need to know Asgard's spatial coordinates to do that. After all, I can't just magically open Boom Tubes to places I have never been to, seen, or have no knowledge of which dimension they are in. Of course, there are other ways to get there like hidden spatial splinters that are like tiny shortcuts from here to Asgard but finding them will take some time, even with my cosmic awareness." I explained while pondering to myself if I should try to mind-drain all of Loki's knowledge since he supposedly knew a lot of those shortcuts in not only the comics but also the MCU.

Hearing my casual explanation about punching holes in the universe and multiple spatial splinters existing on Earth, Phil Coulson's face immediately changed. He looked like he had just swallowed a handful of bugs for breakfast. It seemed like he wanted to say something but unfortunately for him, before he could open his mouth, a bright light shone in the sky, descending straight in our direction like a pillar of shining light.

"Heimdall, at last. I knew you wouldn't let us down." Thor's words were the last thing we heard before the light pillar enveloped our bodies and we were pulled towards the sky.

Honestly, being lifted up by the Bifrost and then pulled to another dimension at a speed that was multiple times the speed of light was a funny feeling. It felt like I had waves forming in my stomach, the same feeling one gets when freefalling. However, the feeling was only there for a few seconds, following which we landed in the Bifrost room of Asgard just in front of the Asgardian god who according to rumors could see everything.

"Heimdall, what happened? Why do you look so weak?" Thor asked in a hurry as soon as he noticed the All-seeing Asgardian panting and barely holding on to his sword.

"Loki encased me in ice using the Casket of Eternal Winters that he stole from the treasury room. Freeing myself from it took more of my strength than I initially thought it would. After that, I had to battle quite a lot of Frost Giants on my way here to open the Bifrost." He said before gesturing to the multiple dead bodies of blue giants lying around the room. "But there are still more... a lot more. Loki seems to have summoned the entire Frost Giant army to Asgard. They are trying to storm the palace right now. The King is still in his Odin sleep and is thus defenseless. The giants cannot be allowed to reach him. Your mother is trying to hold them back with the help of the Asgardian army but since they didn't have time to prepare, they are slowly being pushed back by the Frost Giants. You need to go there, NOW." Heimdall explained before his eyes finally landed on me and his eyebrows furrowed.

'He is so much weaker than the Heimdall in the God of War game. It's almost like an insult.' I thought to myself as I scanned the Asgardian from head to toe.

"He is with us, Heimdall. He is a warrior from Midgard. He helped me when I needed it the most. He is as powerful as the mightiest of Asgardian warriors and even defeated Loki with his magic." Thor introduced me upon noticing Heimdall's curious gaze while placing his hand on my shoulders to show our friendly relationship.

"I see. It's quite curious that I have never seen him before in the nine realms... Even now, I can't properly seem to see him. It's like seeing a phantom... like he can disappear from my vision at any time. But there is something quite familiar about him that I can't seem to place... almost like I know him from somewhere." Heimdall squinted his eyes like he was trying to remember something from the past but after failing to do so, he just shook his head with a sigh before continuing, "Anyway, we will talk about this later. Right now, all of you need to go and banish the Frost Giants before they penetrate the palace defenses. Leave Loki to me, I will take care of him. I have saved a special cell in the prison just for him."

Thor and the others nodded at Heimdall's words before gesturing at me to follow them as they rushed towards the main city of Asgard, particularly towards the center of the city where the palace was located.

However, the closer we got to the palace, the more I realized the true extent of the situation and it was much more dire than I originally expected it to be. Asgardian civilians and warriors were lying everywhere frozen in ice while dead Fost Giants were littering the streets with gaping holes and wounds all over their bodies. The streets were filled with blue, red, and golden blood as both sides struggled to gain an upper hand against the other.

"Atem, this is not your battle. You do not have to fight alongside us. Sif, the Warrior Three, and I can handle this on our own. We have defeated a lot of Frost Giants over the centuries. This won't be our first time." Thor declared as we got near the big golden palace.

"You think I want to fight these giants just to help you? Hahaha. No Thor, I wish to fight simply because I want to. Also, the quicker we take care of this, the faster we can get on with that tour you promised me." I smiled as I started to search for the strongest-looking Frost Giants and Frost Beasts. 'Also, I would like to get some cool ice powers as well.' I thought to myself with an evil snicker.

"So be it then. Even this Frost Giant army can't stand against our united might. Everyone, do your best to protect our homeland. FOR ASGARD." Thor yelled before speeding towards the area where the highest number of Frost Giants were currently gathered with Sif and the Warrior Three going in other directions to try and flank the Giant troops.

I, on the other hand, targeted the few Frost Giants who seemed to be commanding and directing the army from behind. They looked like they were the leaders and even looked stronger and bulkier than the rest. They were perfect for what I wanted to do.

"Sorry man, I have no time to honor you in a battle. I need to devour you guys before anybody realizes what I am doing." I muttered more to myself than them as I used my Rinnegan to convert them into a bunch of "chakra fruits" and then eat them in one single bite. Most of the Frost giants did not even have much time to react or resist as they got miniaturized and compacted into tiny balls of energy. As for the few rare ones who did try to resist, I easily got rid of their feeble resistance by simply snapping their shoulders with my telekinesis before absorbing them.

[Congratulations! A new ability Cryokinesis (low) has been acquired]

In just a few short minutes, I was able to get rid of most of their leaders this way after which I began to decimate their normal troops with flames from Ryujin Jakka.

"Taimatsu," I shouted as an inferno of flames formed around me and then rushed towards the city like a tsunami, attacking every Frost Giant and Frost beast in the area while not even touching the Asgardian warriors.

"What in the name of Odin's beard are those flames? Even Thor's control over his lightning is nowhere near that level." I heard Sif exclaim in surprise from behind me as my flames washed over the entire area, turning almost every ice monster it touched in the city into ashes without harming anyone or anything else.

Just like that, scores of Frost Giants and their Ice Beasts died without even realizing what exactly happened.

"Honestly, this battle was skewed towards me from the very beginning. I excel in using fire, which is the primary weakness of the Frost Giants. There wasn't much they could do to resist my attacks in the first place. All I needed to know was where each of them was and I could easily target them all simultaneously." I explained, trying to make it seem like my fire powers were my most powerful ability.

"That was amazing, my friend. I knew about you being strong from the way you defeated Loki, but what you did just now was something even the mighty Surtur would struggle to do. Even some of the greatest sorcerers and mages in Asgard would not be able to accomplish something like this without preparation or some sort of outside help... You wouldn't happen to be related to Surtur, would you?" Thor asked with a straight face like what he was asking was a completely normal question.

"... No, but I think I might have some Asgardian blood in me. You see, I never knew who my parents were but the few things I have found about their legacy point to the fact that at least one of them might be an Asgardian. That is why I wanted to visit the library and meet your father as he might have some idea about it." I calmly threw him a bone to make sure that he would allow me into Asgard's library without getting too suspicious.

"Oh, I see. Of course, it makes perfect sense. A lot of Asgardians have escaped or retired to Midgard in the last few millennia. Even though it is no longer allowed now, there is always a chance that some Asgardians still live there. Your being a demigod is not completely impossible. Also, if that is true, then you are practically an Asgardian yourself and as one of the saviors of Asgard, you are welcome to stay here as long as you want. I'll even take you to the royal library myself. It should have a record of all the Asgardians that have traveled to Midgard for quests. As for the All-father, he should be waking up soon. He shouldn't have used too much of his power this time, so the Odin sleep probably won't persist for too long." Thor revealed with a happy expression while nodding before putting his hands around my neck and pulling me towards the palace. "Come, I'll let you meet my mother. She is a sorceress too. I think she would like you very much."

<(Omniscient POV)>

'Finally, they left. Sigh A battle amongst gods... I don't get paid even nearly enough for this. I am going to apply for a long vacation once this mission is over, I really need one.' Agent Coulson exhaled tiredly as he surveyed the destruction in the area. Some of the buildings were destroyed by laser blasts from the Destroyer while some of them were either frozen from Loki's ice or burnt from Atem's fire. Even the battle between the other four Asgardians and the Frost Giants had destroyed dozens of cars and other public properties. Coulson could almost feel the heart attack the mayor of this town would have upon learning that Shield wouldn't be bearing any of those costs. After all, his boss was just too cheap to spend Shield money on repairing city damages.

"Agent Dylan, Collect the remains of the Destroyer armor and seal them in containers. Don't miss even a single piece. They are currently one of the most valuable things in the world. We don't know what even a single one of them could do if they were to fall into the wrong hands." Agent Phil Coulson ordered as he noticed one of his trusted agents rushing in his direction with a troubled look on his face.

"Sir, we have a code 7 on our hands." Agent Dylan declared while panting as he stopped in front of his boss. "Somebody stole all the pieces of the Destroyer Armor. There isn't even a single piece of it left here." He revealed. "And the worst thing is that nobody saw who did it. Even our cameras were all turned off at the same time because of an unexpected power surge. We only realized that they were gone when we noticed a silver streak of aura left in that area, like a trail of mist left by something very fast." Agent Dylan disclosed with a guilty look on his face.

"... Sigh I am no longer going to get that vacation now." Agent Coulson finally muttered to himself after a few seconds of silence as he prepared himself for all the verbal abuse that his boss was going to subject him to once, he learned about this brazen theft.
