Chapter 11-Spring the Trap!
Chapter 11
TSUKASA HAJIME-Head of Blanche Japan divison
Infiltrating First High and getting all the Data about Japan's Magical Society from the serves, there had been a plan that had taken them years to formulate, using his brother and the school's discriminatory policies, building up tension, and then using subtle mental manipulations through his own magic.
This whole plan had taken them years to put together, yet they had to alter it on the last day as they received new directions from their boss as a new party entered the fray.
Inei Yotsuba, their benefactor, wished for him to be brought under their control, and he could see why. Of Japan's Ten Magical clans, the Yotsuba were the most powerful, having one of them under their thumb, or even killing one of them, would send ripples through the magical world.
"Everything will be as you wish for Master," he said as he cut off the phone, feeling honored that their master and benefactor thought him important enough to contact him.
Even the top leadership rarely got a chance to talk to their leader, who remained faceless and nameless to protect himself.
"Brother, they have asked for some time to make their decision," his brother, the one who had been his right hand in all this, his half-brother who had made everything possible.
Kamono Kinoe was born with the gift of magic, yet as soon as he had entered the First High he had been disillusioned as he saw the reality of this world, that having magic was not enough, and so he had instilled in him a hatred for Japan's Magical Society and turned him to the cause.
"Tell them they have only fifteen minutes," he ordered, and his brother nodded as he turned towards the rest of his men.
"Is the antinite ready?" he asked.
"Yes, sir."
And that would be their secret weapon against the Yotsuba and that Saegusa bitch. Antintie, a magician's bane, is a very rare and complicated resource that makes magic useless. It emitted a certain frequency of psions that made it impossible for one to cast magic.
"Have the platoon ready for attack the Main Magical Network Reserve center. As soon as we have the two students in our grips, we will attack that place to hack all the data," he ordered.
"The team is in place, commander." And he grinned as he felt the plan come together. Soon enough, they will have Japan's premier Magical Institute and Japan's Premier Magical Clan on their knees.
"How about the students? Are they ready to protest as we planned?" he asked.
"They are. During the entire course, two students were protesting, and we spread rumors that the Council was not even accepting the offer to negotiate," and that was so good.
This way, they had no other choice but to accept, and once they did, a new era of Blanche Japan would begin, and the one leading that era would be him.
"Brother," Kamono returned.
"Is there any word?" and his brother shook his head.
"Not yet. I can understand asking for the Saegusa girl, but why are we insisting that the new first-year student join her?" Kamono asked, smiling.
"Because he is the real prize, Kamono," he said as he held him by the shoulders.
"If we can only control him. Then all of Japan will be ours, and soon enough, all of the world."

MAYUMI SAEGUSA
They had all retreated to the Council Room to make the Final decision as the clock ticked away and they were presented with all the facts which complicated the matter more and more.
The course two students were being used by foreign agents to damage Japan's Magical Society. According to Tatsuya-kun there were several units of Blache stations around school, with students mingled in. Had that not been the case, they would have simply called out the police to deal with them yet she was reluctant to do that.
"The school is giving us only an hour to deal with this," Mari added, and that was another issue. They were running out of time.
"Mayumi-san, this has gotten way out of hand. We need to involve the Police?" her Vice President added, yet she shook her head.
"We cannot do that. If the Police get involved, they will treat our fellow students as criminals, and the divide between course one and course two students will become unrecoverable. I do not wish to leave behind such a legacy," she advocated.
"Saegusa," Katsuto-san cut in.
"This goes beyond your legacy. Japan's future is at stake here," and she looked at the rest of the Council Members gathered there and found little support, and yet she would not destroy so many lives.
"We could intervene with the Police; we have connections that would ensure that the students get reduced sentences," Mari added, and that was not enough. Not enough.
She was the Student Council President. It was her duty, and it was evident why they had called for her. Of Japan's ten Master Clans, two were the most powerful, the Saegusa and the Yotsuba, and Blanche was targeting both of them because of that.
"How many men are stationed outside?" she asked Tatsuya-kun.
"Around fifty, if not more," and that was answer enough.
"Tell them I agree to the negotiations, but make it clear that only I will come," she announced, much to everyone's surprise. It was her decision, and she would not let anyone, especially a younger Kowhai, put their life in jeopardy because of her.
"SAEGUSA!""Pesident!""Mayumi!"
Everyone screamed at her, trying to change her mind, yet she refused.
"I will not have this school destroyed in my watch. Involving outsiders will do just that while ruining literal lives. The students most of whom have been misled, or brainwashed due to will have their futures ruined. I will not let that happen, especially when we—I am at fault for letting this happen in the first place," she said as she stood up.
"And how are you at fault? They made their own choices," Mari rebuked her.
"Because we let someone associated with Blanche run amok. We refused to address the tension that has been building and building. It is my fault, and I will take full responsibility for it. That is why I will go into the negotiations alone. Katsuto-kun, I leave protecting the school to you, and Mari, the main Data center, will be in your care," she distributed the tasks.
"You are not going in alone, Mayumi-san," another voice cut in one that had been silent for some time now.
"Inei-kun, this is my responsibility. You are freshmen, and I will not have you put your life in jeopardy because of this..."
"You will not be walking into a gathering of students, Mayumi-san. You will be walking into a trap set by terrorists, cold-blooded terrorists. No way in hell you are walking into that alone," he added as he stood up.
"I will be going with you," he declared, and her eyes widened.
"You too!" Mari screamed in outrage, and her junior shrugged.
"Our President has set her heart on protecting the precious students of this school. As her secretary, it is my job to support her in her endeavors," he said softly as their eyes met, and she was taken aback by his smile.
"Plus, I promise on my name as a Yotsuba that no harm will come to her," and everyone was taken aback by that declaration.
There was silence for some time, cut off only by Katsuto, who rose up as well.
"Are you sure about this, Yotsuba?" he asked, and Inei kun nodded as he cracked his fingers.
"Yeah, leave all that to me. Now, it would be better if we plan for the rest of the stuff," he began as he looked at her once more and gave her a nod.
"I have a suggestion in that regard," Miyuki rose up from her seat.
"To engage the students, perhaps we could have a ballot circulated among the protesting students so that they may give their suggestions on how they wish to solve their grievances. This will allow us to engage them and let us pinpoint the aggressors," she added.
"That is a good suggestion," Mari added, and indeed it was, and another plan began to form in her mind.
"Then let us discuss the plan one last time," she began.
"About that, I believe I have one more suggestion," Inei-kun cut in.
"I doubt anyone apart from the President or Mari-san would be able to get the course two students to stop rioting. So, instead of having Mari-san guard the Data Centres, I propose that Tatsuya be placed there," Inei-kun asked. He had a point, but the data centers were still Blanche's main target, and they held all of Japnan's Magical Society's data.
"We are talking about a literal attack from terrorists, and you want to place it in the hands of a first-year," Mari cut in.
"I do because out of all of you, he has the most combat experience and is perhaps the most suited for the job," and with that, he sat down.
Combat Experience and she did not know what to make of it as she turned towards the Shiba siblings.
"I know that all of you have doubts," Miyuki began.
"But Inei-kun is right. As long as it is brother defending the Data Centres, no enemy will be able to take one step inside the building," she spoke with such confidence that everyone in the room was taken aback.
"Say, Shiba, can you really do it?" Katsuto asked.
"I can." He answered with not a single shift in his expression, and so their plans were made, and only hours later would Mayumi realize that she had missed a very important detail in Inei-kun's declaration when he had mentioned Tatsuya-kun's experience.
'He had said all of you rather than all of us. For between him and Tatsuya, it was him who had more experience. Much more'
