Lord of Dreams – A Multiverse Fanfiction

Sitting outside the room, the group of three waited patiently for the two siblings inside to finish talking

And meanwhile, they started talking, the first to speak was Urokodaki who inquired

"Did you wake her up?"

"Yes I did, she had already restored the energy she consumed on her own, all I did was wake up her consciousness and help her stay clear-minded and restore her human memories"

"I see..."

Understanding the situation Urokodaki nodded slightly, after seeing many miracles from Lorien he doesn't get surprised easily anymore

Then after a pause, he continued

"Tanjiro has finished his training, so he should give you the sun breathing technique"

After saying this Urokodaki suddenly paused as he remembered that the Final Selection is drawing near, If tanjiro still wants to join he has to leave tomorrow

It's just that he had already promised Lorien, so he may not make it in time and he'll be forced to wait till next year

Thinking of this Urokodaki heaved a sigh of relief

'This may be for the best...'

Not knowing what Urokodaki was thinking, Lorien smiled happily as he could finally leave this place and return to his house

Moreover, as he's been away for so long, the Tree of Dreams should have accumulated a lot of energy

Thinking of this, Lorien couldn't hide his excitement as he responded

"Great!"

The next day

Lorien could be seen standing a couple of meters away from Tanjiro who was demonstrating the Kagura Dance

Last night, Lorien and Tanjiro spoke, and it was decided that Tanjiro will be missing this year's Selection Exam

Unless of course Lorien miraculously learns the Kagura Dance in one single day, which will allow Tanjiro to make it to the final selection just in the nick of time

But no one really thought that was possible

This choice was made because Lorien wasn't willing to wait anymore

Moreover, he didn't want to risk Tanjiro Dying at the final selection there before teaching him the breathing style

Even though he survived it in the original timeline, Lorien didn't forget that this was a real-world and unexpected things could happen

'A butterfly flapping its wings in Africa can cause a hurricane in Florida, If he wants to die he should he should do it after teaching me the technique'

That's how Lorien's thought process basically went

Then, after settling that, they talked about Nezuko, and it was also decided that she would follow him after he finishes his training with Tanjiro

As for Tanjiro, after learning that he knew the sun breathing technique it was decided that he'll be sent to the demon slayer HQ for further training

Even though he wanted to stay with his sister Lorien refused using some random excuses, as he didn't want any more intruding into his 'personal zone', which is his home

Lorien has been watching Tanjiro Demonstrate the Kagura Dance for a while now

The latter would pause from time to time and try to explain the breathing patterns and the movements as best as he could

But after so long Lorien came to a conclusion

'He's bad at teaching'

Even though Tanjiro being an abhorrent teacher was a problem, that wasnt the only issue

Because the Sun breathing technique causes a lot of burden to Tanjiro making him unable to demonstrate it perfectly which causes a lot of errors

He also has to demonstrate in segments or else his body wont be able to handle it

All of this wasn't actually a problem for Lorien as he could fix it later on using his ability

It's just that this way of teaching combined with Tanjiro's innately poor teaching ability will cause Lorien to waste a lot of time here

Thinking of this, Lorien rubbed his temples while giving off a long desolate sigh

'Why do things never go as planned'

But then just as he was getting desperate and was about to refocus his attention on Tanjiro an idea suddenly popped in his mind causing his eyes to widen

'Why have I never thought of it!'

As soon as this idea appeared Lorien didn't hesitate to try, so he shouted towards Tanjiro who was still demonstrating

"Tanjiro! Stop for a second!"

Hearing his name being called Tanjiro slowly stopped his movements

He then walked towards Lorien breathing heavily as he wiped the sweat off his forehead, a puzzled look was apparent on his face

"Umm, Is there something wrong?"

"I have an idea! come sit here first"

Even though Tanjiro felt puzzled he still walked towards the tree that Lorien pointed at

He frankly really needed some time to rest a bit, so this came just in time

Sitting down in the shade Tanjiro then looked again at Lorien, still confused at what he wanted to do

Seeing Tanjiro sit down Lorien nodded slightly and then walked toward him and then put his hand on his shoulder

[Dream/Reality] : Sleep

As soon as Lorien used his ability a wave of fatigue attacked Tanjiro and before he could react he instantly fell asleep

Seeing this Lorien didn't stop as he then used his ability again

[Dreams]: Traveling Dreams

When Lorien activated this ability his body slowly started becoming transparent, and before long he disappeared from his position as if he was never there

Lorien was currently in Tanjiro's dream, after entering it he started using his ability to manipulate everything around

The white space quickly started receding as it was then replaced with a forest that looked very similar to where Lorien and Tanjiro were practicing

After doing all of this he then snapped his finger causing Tanjiro to appear in front of him

Suddenly appearing here Tanjiro looked very confused and apprehensive

'Wasnt I just sitting under the tree? how did I appear here?'

In this dream, Lorien could clearly tell what Tanjiro is thinking so took the initiative to explain

"We are in your dreams, this is one of my abilities"

"My dream?"

"Yes, try using the Sun Breathing Technique here"

Even though all of this was weird Tanjiro still started demonstrating after a moment of hesitation

He had already seen a lot of weird stuff so he could at least quickly calm down

But after he started using the Kagura Dance he was soon surprised

He quickly noticed that using it here doesn't consume any physical energy and doesn't cause any burden

Moreover, he could perfectly demonstrate as it is in his mind with no errors

But Tanjiro wasnt the only one surprised, Lorien also felt shocked

With him in control of this dream, he could feel in detail everything Tanjiro does, all his movements, breathing patterns...etc in detail

Moreover, it isn't just that, because this is a dream, the concept of time is very chaotic

So with Lorien manipulating it on purpose even if they were to train here for years, only a single moment would pass outside

And it's not just that, Dream manipulation does consume much energy so there isn't any burden to speak off

Discovering all of this Lorien felt like he had wasted months of his time, he really wanted to cry right now

'Why haven't I used this before'

But he then quickly put all of this aside as he focused his attention on Tanjiro again
