Let's be an Adventurer! ~Defeating Dungeons with a Skill Board~

Chapter 128.3

128 Part 3

This skill seemed to take quite a toll in her stamina.

“It feels like the Self-Defense Force might not be able to win this one.”

“…Really? What are we going to do, Kagemitsu?”

“Can we really let the Self-Defense Force members die and do nothing about it? If they’re completely wiped out, wouldn’t that inconvenience the mayor too?”

“…That might be part of Yoshioka’s plan.”

The rest of the members of Team Aerial had their breath taken away by Kagemitsu’s ominous muttering.

Is he willing to go that far?

Both Air and Kagemitsu seemed to be deep in thought about how to break this stalemate. Both of them had a very serious look on their faces.

(…Oh well. There’s no time to waste, is there?)

As Kagemitsu looked at each of his companions, they all nodded back at him.

They had already finished their preparations. Their eyes said that they were ready to go at any time.

Through Team Aerial’s teamwork, this situation could be easily overcome.

That is, without injuring anyone or destroying the building, of course.

However, the problem is what comes after that.

If the Self-Defense Force were to interfere after they broke out of the room, there was nothing else Team Aerial could do.

However, only after breaking out of the room, Kagemitsu would have a chance at success.

The rest would depend on what “that person” did about it, but Kagemitsu didn’t seem too worried about it.

“Well then, I’ll explain our course of action from this point on.”

Kagemitsu then told everyone about the strategy he had come up with.

After he was done talking, Kagemitsu looked around at everyone’s faces.

Some of them had this “Are you sure there’s no other way?” expression.

Each of them were frowning and pursing their lips.

They weren’t worried about defeating the dungeon lord.

Of course, that was troubling in itself, but what was really worrisome was the Self-Defense Force itself.

Their equipment was entry-level in general, and most members didn’t even have middle class weapons or armor.

Was their budget that bad? Entry-level armor was one of the weakest types of armor.

What’s more, some of their equipment seemed to be in good condition, but others were equipped with damaged armor.

They couldn’t get stronger armor, and they couldn’t even replace their broken armor.

It was easy to imagine that if the Self-Defense Force were to fight against the unique-species Dungeon Lord in these conditions, there would certainly be casualties.

If it were just people getting injured, it wouldn’t be that much of a problem.

Kagemitsu thought that in the worst-case scenario, they could be completely wiped out.

If the Self-Defense Force were to get obliterated, it would greatly reduce this city’s ability to protect itself.

In this day and age, when everyone has to be prepared to fight at any time, a city like Hakodate couldn’t afford to be rendered defenseless like that.

Unlike armor and weapons, human resources were irreplaceable.

Dungeons wouldn’t just wait until people grew old enough to wield a weapon.

[Flying] Reporting on Mr. Masked Man’s appearance 1 [And Vanishing]

21 Name: Anonymous on the lookout for Mr. Masked Man

I found Mr. Masked Man in Hakodate!

Just like >> 9 said, it was definitely shining lol

22 Name: Anonymous on the lookout for Mr. Masked Man

Give us some details!

23 Name: Anonymous on the lookout for Mr. Masked Man

Y’know, shining and floating in the air

I think his eyes were particularly shiny too

24 Name: Anonymous on the lookout for Mr. Masked Man

No way lol

I’m close to Hakodate, so maybe I’ll go see if I can catch a glimpse of Mr. Masked Man myself haha

25 Name: Anonymous on the lookout for Mr. Masked Man

Close? You mean about 100 km away?

26 Name: Anonymous on the lookout for Mr. Masked Man

Yup, that far lol

But if I keep running at about 50 km/h I’ll get to the suburbs in about 2 hours

27 Name: Anonymous on the lookout for Mr. Masked Man

I don’t know what’s supposed to be “close” anymore O_o

28 Name: Anonymous on the lookout for Mr. Masked Man

But why is Mr. Masked Man doing in Hakodate anyway?

Did something happen over there?

29 Name: Anonymous on the lookout for Mr. Masked Man

A unique-species of Dungeon Lord seems to have appared over there

It’s full of posts about it in the Mt. Hakodate Dungeon thread

We’re talking about Mr. Masked Man, he’d more or less be able to produce good results

So most likely he’s gone over there to defeat that Dungeon Lord

30 Name: Anonymous on the lookout for Mr. Masked Man

Surely he went there to taste the local food

31 Name: Anonymous on the lookout for Mr. Masked Man

Food huh (Ծ‸ Ծ)

He’d probably eat raw monster meat with his bare hands

32 Name: Anonymous on the lookout for Mr. Masked Man

I didn’t want to say this in too much detail because it may end up revealing some of my personal life, but…

I’ve seen Mr. Masked Man being extremely angry

Someone said some nasty things to Mr. Masked Man

But he was literally keeping a watchful eye on that person

He glared at him menacingly while those feathers on his neck spreaded like wings

33 Name: Anonymous on the lookout for Mr. Masked Man

・ He can spread his feathers like wings ← NEW

A new aspect of our beloved Mr. Masked Man…

…How lovely.

34 Name: Anonymous on the lookout for Mr. Masked Man

So he was menacingly staring at some guy with his feathers spreaded like wings?

That guy must have messed up badly…

I’m praying for his soul

35 Name: Anonymous on the lookout for Mr. Masked Man

Why pray for someone like that?

That guy was ranting at Mr. Masked Man, right?

So that makes him our enemy too, out with that pest

36 Name: Anonymous on the lookout for Mr. Masked Man

>> 35 A Mr. Masked Man fundamentalist, huh…

But if his mask shines brighter the angrier he gets

Then maybe it’s best to stay away from Hakodate for now…
