Chapter 10 : Experience
It had been over 6 months since I evolved into a ghoul. Indeed, ghoul was close to human physical appearance compared to skeleton, but this body came with several limitations. First and foremost, ghoul possessed insatiable hunger. I was barely to cope even with many thousands of beasts in the dungeon.
Throughout 6 months, rabbits were increasingly bigger in size, as I ventured further. I also defeated other monsters such as kobolds, alligators and bats.
As a skeleton, I could advance without a single second of rest. A ghoul, on the other hand, requires sleep hours every day. I had to find a place to hide from beasts so I could get a good sleep. Ghoul must drink water as well. Eating and drinking meant I had to frequently poop and pee.
Ghoul also couldn't stand coldness. Luckily, I was no longer naked. I wore a complete set of armour and boot, with a helmet that covered even my face. I stole these equipments from defeated skeletons. From outside, I could be perceived as donning a full plate light armour.
While I was in deep thinking, 3 large kobolds appeared. I dashed to their side and cut their heads. A remaining kobold was shocked and leaped backward but I was quicker. I decapitated its head.
"You killed 3 kobolds. You gained 330 experience points."
The ruthless killing for the past 1 year not only enabled me to level up, but also thought me ways of practical fighting.
My way of fighting might not be pretty, but my mind and body instinctively moved in the way that could kill an enemy as quick as possible. Probably my high level instinct played a big role.
While taking my sweet time eating the 3 kobolds, I reviewed my Status:

I was not sure how powerful I was at the moment, but my current level enabled me venturing ahead like walking in the park.
I leisurely rested several times per day as my gut feeling was telling me I was getting nearer. I was not sure nearer to where but I felt no need for rushing. I should go hunting monsters.
