Kamen Rider in DC

Chapter 16: Chapter 16

Haruka, as Amazon leaps across the rooftops, his enhanced senses alert for any sign of criminal activity. Suddenly, a Takacandroid flies into view, reporting a fleeing vehicle in the distance. Without hesitation, Amazon launches himself from the rooftop, his powerful legs propelling him forward. The wind whips past as he closes the gap, his eyes scanning the streets below.

Spotting the speeding car, Amazon lands in the middle of the road, blocking the vehicle's path. The driver swerves, but Amazon is faster, leaping onto the car's hood. He rips the door open, yanking the driver out and tossing him aside. The passenger attempts to flee, but Amazon grabs him by the collar, lifting him off the ground.

"Where are you going in such a hurry?" Amazon growls, his voice distorted by the suit's modulator.

The terrified passenger stammers, "P-please, we were just-"

Amazon tightens his grip, silencing the man. "I don't care about your excuses. You're going to prison."

Haruka, as Amazon Omega, was about to tie up the criminals when three black SUVs suddenly appeared. Heavily armed men emerged, one of them wielding a bazooka. Haruka's eyes widened behind his helmet as he saw the weapon aimed directly at him.

Without hesitation, Haruka threw the passengers to the side, shielding them from the impending attack. The bazooka blast struck him with tremendous force, sending him crashing into a nearby wall. Debris and smoke filled the air as Haruka's armored form collided with the unyielding surface, the impact reverberating through his body.

Dazed, Haruka struggled to regain his footing, his enhanced senses overwhelmed by the chaos unfolding around him. The armed men approached, their weapons trained on the fallen Rider. Haruka braced himself, prepared to fight off the onslaught, but the sheer number of adversaries made the situation increasingly dire.

Haruka surveys the armed men surrounding him, his brow furrowing in frustration. "Who are these guys?" he mutters under his breath.

The blue window appears in front of Haruka. "What now, Ada?" he mutters, his eyes narrowing behind the Amazon Omega mask.

[Urgent Mission:

A bounty was put on your head. Survive and apprehend the person who placed the bounty.

Reward: 1000 points, 2 gacha draws]

Haruka's eyes widen as he reads the details. "A bounty? Crap, someone wants me gone, huh?" He clenches his fists, steeling himself for the impending fight.

Haruka, his heart racing, braced himself as the armed men surrounded him. One of the men, his voice gruff and menacing, spoke up.

"Nowhere to run, Kamen Rider. You're outnumbered and outgunned."

Haruka clenched his fists, the Amazon Omega suit creaking with the tension. "Who's running?" he retorted, his modulated voice laced with defiance.

Without warning, Haruka launched himself towards the armed men, his enhanced speed catching them off guard. The men opened fire, bullets ricocheting off his armored form as he barreled through their ranks.

Haruka dodged and weaved, his movements a blur as he closed the distance. He slammed his fist into the first man's chest, sending him flying backwards. Another tried to aim his weapon, but Haruka seized his arm, twisting it until the gun clattered to the ground.

Haruka sensed another rocket incoming, his enhanced senses detecting the telltale whine of the weapon. Without hesitation, he reached for the Battler Grip on his belt, gripping the device tightly.

In a fluid motion, Haruka pulled the Battler Grip free, the tool transforming into a long, flexible whip.

[Violent Break]

He swung the whip through the air, the sharp edge slicing cleanly through the rocket's casing. The weapon split in two, harmlessly detonating away from Haruka and the surrounding civilians.

Haruka wasted no time, his body moving with feline grace as he lashed out at the armed men. The whip cracked and coiled, striking with precision to disarm and incapacitate his opponents. One by one, the mercenaries fell, their weapons clattering to the ground.

Seeing an opening, Haruka retracted the whip and extended his claws, the razor-sharp talons gleaming in the city lights. He charged forward, his movements a blur as he slashed and tore through the ranks of the armed men. Bone-crushing blows and agonized cries filled the air as Haruka's savage strikes found their mark.

Driven by a primal need to survive and protect, Haruka fought with a ferocity that belied his human form. The Amazon Omega suit amplified his strength, allowing him to rip through kevlar and flesh with ease. He showed no mercy, driven by the weight of the bounty on his head and the desperation to escape this ambush.

Haruka's claws found purchase, tearing through the last of the armed men as they fell, broken and bleeding, at his feet. Panting heavily, he surveyed the carnage, his heart racing with the adrenaline of battle. The immediate threat had been neutralized, but the looming question remained - who had put the bounty on his head, and why?

Haruka, still breathing heavily from the intense battle, grabs one of the wounded mercenaries by the collar. The man groans in pain, his eyes wide with fear as he stares up at the imposing Kamen Rider.

"Alright, talk," Haruka demands, his voice modulated and authoritative. "Why did you attack me?"

Haruka needs to confirm whether somebody really put a bounty on him.

Haruka recoiled as the man spat in his face, the phlegm splattering against his helmet. Rage flared within him, his grip tightening around the mercenary's collar.

Without a word, Haruka leapt upwards, his powerful legs carrying him to the top of a nearby skyscraper. He dangled the wounded man over the edge, the city lights glimmering far below.

"Why did you attack me?" Haruka demanded, his modulated voice dripping with menace.

The man's eyes went wide with terror, his bravado crumbling in the face of certain death. "W-We were just after the bounty on your head!"

Haruka tightened his grip on the mercenary, dangling him precariously over the edge of the skyscraper. "Who put the bounty on my head?" he demanded, his modulated voice laced with menace.

The man squirmed, his eyes darting around in a desperate search for escape. "I-I don't know, I swear!" he cried, his voice quivering with fear.

Haruka's grip did not relent. "You're lying," he growled. "Tell me the truth, or I'll drop you."

Haruka watched as the man's face contorted with terror. The mercenary swore he truly did not know who had placed the bounty on the Kamen Rider's head.

Haruka's grip tightened momentarily, the man's pleas ringing in his ears. He could sense the genuine fear in the mercenary's voice, and something made him pause. Gritting his teeth, Haruka made a decision.

Without warning, he released his hold, letting the man plummet downwards. The mercenary's scream pierced the air as he hurtled towards the street below.

But Haruka was not done. In a blur of motion, he leapt off the building, his powerful legs propelling him after the falling man. Reaching out, he snatched the mercenary from the air, cradling the trembling figure in his arms.

"Please! I really don't know!" the man cried, his voice hoarse with terror.

Haruka stared down at the cowering mercenary, his enhanced senses detecting no deception. Letting out a frustrated sigh, he landed back on the rooftop, depositing the man with his comrades.

The other armed men, battered and bruised, stared up at Haruka with a mix of fear and defiance. Haruka surveyed them, his gaze hardening.

"If you come after me again, I won't be so merciful," he growled, his modulated voice laced with warning.

Without another word, Haruka turned and leapt off the building, disappearing into the night. He needed to find the source of this bounty, but he couldn't extract the information from these men - they truly seemed to have no idea.

As Haruka made his way across the rooftops, the sound of sirens reached his enhanced hearing. The police were arriving, no doubt alerted by the commotion. Quickening his pace, Haruka put distance between himself and the scene, determined to avoid any further confrontation.

Reaching a secluded alleyway, Haruka paused, taking a moment to catch his breath. The adrenaline from the fight was still coursing through his veins, and he could feel the weight of the bounty on his head weighing heavily on him.

"Ada, what do you know about this bounty?" he asked, his voice low and urgent.

The blue interface appeared before him, the AI's response calm and measured.

"I'm afraid I don't have any additional information about the bounty. The system only alerted me to its existence when you encountered the armed men. I don't know who placed it or why."

Haruka let out a frustrated sigh, his hands clenching into fists. "This is a complication I didn't need. Any idea how I can find out who's behind it?"

"I suggest you focus on completing your current missions first," Ada replied. "The bounty may be related to your activities as the Kamen Rider, but for now, your priority should be protecting the city and its people."

Haruka nodded, knowing the AI was right. He couldn't let this bounty distract him from his responsibilities. Taking a deep breath, he turned and continued on his way, determined to keep the city safe, no matter the cost.

Far away in an apartment, Kara Danvers watches the events unfold with keen interest. Using her superhuman vision and hearing, she observes the Kamen Rider's dramatic confrontation with the armed men, his skilled interrogation techniques leaving her impressed. A small smile plays on her lips - this mysterious hero piques her curiosity.

"So cool..." she murmurs to herself, her blue eyes fixed on the scene unfolding before her.
