Chapter 29: Chapter 29: The Manual for the Development of a Loyal Boyfriend
"Bugs! bugs! bugs!"
When she felt a bug falling on her head, Kaguya suddenly panicked.
"Don't move." Amamiya shouted quickly, "It's just a little ladybug."
I have persisted for so long and victory is in sight. If I move now, all my efforts will be wasted and I will have to start all over again.
Amemiya absolutely didn't want to do it again.
The feeling of sore eyes is really uncomfortable.
"Ladybugs are bugs, too."
Kaguya gritted her teeth and tensed her body.
"It's just a harmless little ladybug. What bad intentions could it have?" Amamiya advised. "It won't bite, and it's not poisonous. Don't worry about it, Shinomiya-san."
"How could I not care?" After hearing this, Kaguya wanted to hit someone and couldn't help but clench her fists. "It feels terrible to have bugs crawling all over my hair."
Kaguya really didn't dare to move now.
The mission is about to be completed, and my eyes are almost at their limit. If I move around, I will probably blink uncontrollably.
But... having bugs crawling in your hair is terrible, and every second is torture.
"Can you still move your hands?"
Kaguya suddenly asked.
"Can." Amamiya nodded.
"… Help me get rid of the bugs."
Kaguya bit her lower lip tightly. If she couldn't hold on any longer, she would never ask others for help.
"That's no problem."
Amemiya agreed, and while maintaining eye contact, he leaned forward slightly, stretched out his right hand, and gently placed it on the top of Kaguya's head. The touch of the soft and silky hair passed from his fingertips into his mind, and the feeling was excellent.
The little ladybug sensed the danger and began to crawl around faster and faster.
Amamiya didn't dare to move too big, and watched the ladybug's movements out of the corner of his eye, and finally caught the bug before his limit was reached.
"call..."
Kaguya breathed a sigh of relief.
Amemiya also felt relieved. He put his right hand on the top of her head and touched her head subconsciously.
"…"
The air suddenly became quiet.
Kaguya opened her eyes slightly, a hint of confusion flashed across her eyes at first, and then turned into disbelief.
I asked you to help catch bugs, but you took the opportunity to pat my head?
How dare you!
But... his palm is so warm.
Is this the temperature of a boy's palm?
I have never felt such a warm feeling when I touch my head...
Budump! Budump! Budump!
The heart beat faster in her chest and Kaguya could clearly hear her own rapid heartbeat.
strange.
Why does my heart beat faster?
Can't understand.
I can't figure it out.
The only thing that is certain is that I don't seem to hate this feeling.
Creak~
The door was suddenly pushed open.
Amemiya thought it was Chika, and then the next moment, a strange exclamation resounded throughout the classroom.
"Eh? EHH? EHHHH!?"
"Natsuki-san, and Shinomiya-san?!"
"You, you guys are actually..."
Not that idiot Chika.
The nervous Kaguya was suddenly frightened and turned her head to look.
A girl from the same class came in from the front door. Seeing Amemiya and Kaguya sitting opposite each other, with one of them touching the other's head in a doting gesture, the girl leaned against the door with her hands covering her lips in disbelief.
"Glare!"
Kaguya's eyes were sharp, like a falcon soaring in the sky, locking onto the hare on the ground.
"I'm sorry!" The short-haired girl trembled with fear, her eyes filled with tears as she crouched down with her head in her hands. "I didn't know Amemiya-san and Shinomiya-san were dating, and I'm so sorry for barging in. Please don't kill me!"
There is no hidden secret, how could I kill you?
"Don't worry, I won't kill anyone."
Kaguya closed her eyes and began to massage her sore and uncomfortable eyes.
Not blinking for ten minutes sounds easy, but it's actually quite hard.
"Kashiwagi-san, what should I do to you?"
Kaguya crossed her arms over her chest and spoke in a cold tone.
The mission was interrupted at the last minute and all her efforts went to waste. She was very unhappy.
"I'm sorry." The short-haired girl trembled and said timidly, "I forgot my keys in the classroom. I came back to get them... Sorry to bother you, I'll leave right away."
"stop."
Kaguya's cold voice rang out in the classroom.
The girl who was about to escape trembled, turned her head pitifully, and her eyes were misty with fear.
"The classroom is a public place." Kaguya gently pressed her forehead and closed her eyes and said, "Take the key and leave."
"Thank you Shinomiya-san."
The short-haired girl's eyes lit up, and she trotted to the seat, took out the key, clasped her hands in front of her chest, and said firmly: "Please rest assured, I will keep the relationship between Shinomiya-san and Amemiya-san a secret and promise not to tell anyone."
"Wait, when did I start dating Shinomiya-san?" Amamiya couldn't help but retorted, "Don't talk nonsense."
Kaguya crossed her arms over her chest and said in the same way: "We are not dating."
The short-haired girl blinked her eyes, with a gossipy expression on her face that said, "Just now, Amemiya-san was touching Shinomiya-san's head."
What's wrong with patting the head?
If touching someone's head implies a close bond, does that mean touching their feet commits you to marriage?
"You're wrong." Amamiya said decisively.
"Eh?" The short-haired girl was startled and subconsciously retorted, "I saw it clearly just now, you were..."
Kaguya said in a gloomy tone: "You are indeed mistaken."
"S-Sorry!"
The short-haired girl turned and fled.
They were both horrible.
The classroom became quiet again.
"That's it." Amamiya showed the ladybug in his hand and threw it out of the window. "The mission is not completed, right?"
"No."
"We have to do it again." Amamiya sighed, "The classroom is a little dangerous. It's not long after school now, and maybe some classmates will come back later."
Kaguya frowned slightly.
She didn't join any club, so there was no activity room available, and now she had nowhere to go.
After all, she still has to run for student union.
Once the office door was closed, there would be no need to worry about interruptions.
"Rest for now," Kaguya's voice was calm and composed, and the blush that had colored her face slowly faded. "Let's wait half an hour, then we'll talk."
Amamiya nodded, pulling a book from his bag and settling down to read.
Time passed quickly, and soon the school grew quiet. No footsteps echoed in the hallway for quite some time.
"Shall we go again?" Amemiya asked.
"Let's," Kaguya replied, lifting her gaze to meet his.
The first time their eyes met, there was inevitable nervousness. The second time had gone smoother, and by now, the third attempt, Amamiya was completely at ease.
As he gazed into Kaguya's striking ruby eyes, he felt calm, even taking a moment to admire her beauty.
Their eyes locked.
A blush once again bloomed on Kaguya's porcelain skin, but this time, no interruptions came, and they successfully completed the task.
"My eyes are killing me," Amemiya exhaled with relief, standing up. "Shinomiya-san, see you tomorrow. I'm heading home."
"…See you tomorrow," Kaguya responded softly.
As Amemiya exited the room, a blonde girl with a side ponytail slipped in through the door, her movements silent and almost mysterious. She had a lollipop in her mouth.
"Miss, it's time to go back," the blonde girl said casually.
Kaguya rubbed her temple and opened her eyes, her tone turning cold and indifferent. "Did you get the information I asked for?"
"Yup, right here," the girl replied, pulling a file from her bag.
Kaguya's gaze shifted to the file, where a photo of Amamiya was prominently displayed.
His age.
Birthday.
Home address.
Parents.
Schools attended...
"And a childhood friend?" Kaguya's eyes narrowed slightly, her finely arched eyebrows lifting in interest.
"She's Yotsuya Miko, a classmate of mine," the blonde girl explained, lollipop still in hand. "She's Natsuki-san's neighbor, and they went to junior high together. They're close. Who knows, they might end up dating one day."
"…"
Noticing Kaguya's frown and silence, the blonde girl pulled two books from her bag, still chewing on her lollipop. "Oh, by the way, I picked up a couple of books at the bookstore while I was out. Thought you might like to take a look."
"What books?" Kaguya asked, her curiosity piqued.
She glanced at the covers, her eyes widening slightly as she read the title of one of the books: 'The Manual for the Development of a Loyal Boyfriend.'
