Chapter 34: Super Saiyan?
"...What?" Nathan was surprised to hear her words. She would be lying if she said that she had expected this, but the evidence was in front of her.
Just like he had described it to her. Golden hair with green to cyan-colored eyes. His golden aura shimmered around him as it rose along his body like a flame. Nathan watched his hand, observing the aura for a moment before he closed his eyes while breathing deeply.
Kara didn't dare to disturb him as he adjusted himself. It was an important moment for him. He had been working hard every day to achieve this. He put sweat, blood, and pain into finally transforming.
He had been talking about it since the two had a fight over his training obsession. His look certainly was awe-inspiring. Just by looking at him, she could feel the power he exuded. It was already exhilarating just looking at him from an outsider's perspective. She couldn't imagine how it felt to him.
The transformation, however, didn't hold on for long. Her extreme senses had made the transformation seem longer than it was. In the end, it had lasted for maybe 5 minutes before the aura disappeared again.
He breathed in deeply before opening his eyes again. He looked at her and a wide smile appeared on his face before he approached and picked her up before spinning her around again.
Seeing him this happy warmed her chest. It was like she fell in love with him all over again and she couldn't contain it any longer as she started to giggle. He pulled her close to him again, embracing her with such a force that she was sure that he forgot to hold back, luckily she could handle it.
His lips pressed against hers and it was heavy with emotions that were infectious. It made her feel like she was getting drunk with happiness, having already forgotten the previous somber atmosphere and doubts in her mind.
After they finally separated they hungrily looked at each other again. Kara jumped up and hugged his waist with her legs before leaning in for another kiss as Nathan walked out of the chamber. She was already working on undressing herself and him as they went up to the first floor and into his bed.
Her back pressed into the bed. He leaned in for another kiss but she pushed him to the side, reversing their position with her on top. She pulled at his armor, but knowing how stretchable it was, it would be difficult to rip it apart. He helped her get his armor off before she pushed him into the bed again.
She grabbed her hair tie and took it out, opening her hair to let it fall over her shoulder. His right hand cupped her left breast, which she doubled down on with a hand of her own. She leaned a bit forward while using her other hand to guide his dick to her entrance before she leaned back into it.
Nathan didn't show any signs of dominating her and she wouldn't let him this time. He had requested her to do this before, but she always felt uncomfortable taking charge. However, now she was in the right mindset as she asserted herself like he wanted her to.
Her hips started to lower themselves as she felt Nathan stretch her inner walls. Another hand went for her hip, but she intercepted it and with locked fingers, she pushed his hand above his head. She slowly started to accelerate her rhythm until their bed and the ground loudly creaked underneath her force.
At one point, the legs of the bed gave in and they crashed heavily on the ground, which they completely ignored in favor of indulging in the other. Her moans and his groans filled the room for a while until Nathan spoke up.
"Kara-" She silenced him with a kiss. She knew what he wanted to say. From what she was hearing, someone was watching and enjoying the show that they were giving.
"I don't care." This was their moment and she wouldn't stop until they were both satisfied. Her words seemed to have done it for him as she felt him fill her up. The warm liquid spread filling up her womb but even after that, she knew that he wouldn't stop yet. His stamina was extraordinary in multiple facets.
Still, rock hard and twitching, she could feel how he pumped into her, clearly unsatisfied that she had slowed down when she rode out her own high. She too didn't want to end it anytime soon.
...
"Soo what, she like, fucks off for the future? That's dumb. I would never do that." Kara said in disbelief as we lay on the bed.
"You wouldn't drop anything for me?" I questioned as I went through her hair.
"Well, yeah, but we know each other for almost 4 months now, not a day. Maybe her brain didn't defrost after being woken up from her cryogenic sleep."
"...Kara could you stop fondling my balls-"
"No."
"..."
After a while, we finally got up and made ourselves ready for the day. After having refreshed ourselves, I walked down while carrying Kara before sitting down on the couch. Kara leaned against me. She started to kiss my shoulder, traveling over my collarbone to my neck before she sat on my lap again. She pressed her lips against mine, only to open up slightly and let her tongue enter my mouth to seek out mine.
With both my hands on her booty, I squeezed, which made her smile and we would have continued if it wasn't for the not-so-subtle cough. Kara reluctantly separated and sent a shy smile towards Raven, who was eating at the table in the kitchen.
Raven deliberately looked at her lunch as she ate with a red face, "Seemed like you had a lot to catch up to."
"Yeah~" Kara moaned out satisfied, which made Raven even redder.
"Right. I wanted to apologize for yesterday." Kara started dispersing the sensual atmosphere she had dazedly created. She seemed genuinely sorry about whatever she did. Though it seemed like I wasn't the only one left in the dark as Raven looked just as lost as I was.
"I hadn't mentioned it yesterday, but I am Nate's girlfriend. I should have already told you especially since I realized how much you liked-"
"Ahem!" Raven interrupted her with a fake cough, "...You don't have to worry. I understand. You just wanted to figure out what the strange creepy-looking girl in a dark blue cloak and leotard was doing being massaged by her boyfriend." I saw Kara frown at her words.
"It's me that should apologize, I should have figured it out already. I mean the extra room equipped with girl's stuff, Shallot saying that Felicia bribed 'us' and why he was so unreceptive to have any sexual relationship with attractive female friends swarming him. In hindsight, the signs were rather obvious." Raven explained rapidly.
"Yeah, I could have cleared any misunderstandings in the first place as well, but I kind of forgot to mention it." I interjected while scratching my head.
"Not surprising." Kara looked at me unimpressed before she approached Raven, "I hope you aren't too bothered by it. I hope we can still be friends?" Kara asked shyly as she stood up to grab Raven's hands.
"W-what? Why did you expect that your relationship would bother me? I am completely fine."
"This..." Kara and I looked at each other before she started to speak, "You told me yesterday how you liked his wild-"
"Yes! That was merely appreciative. I respect him as a person and nothing more! Please don't misunderstand Nathan." Her face snapped towards me at worrying degree.
I nodded at that absentminded. I was pretty sure that there was a mutual attraction going on. Was I too occupied with my own reaction that I really misinterpreted her reaction of contentment and excitement of having a home for attraction? Though she did watch us...
Kara clapped her hands together, "So, we are still friends?" She looked at Raven with sparks in her eyes.
Raven sighed out and extended her arms, "Of course." She didn't have to say anymore as Kara had already leaped into her arms.
"Huh? Not into me then? I could have sworn...that's good, right?" I mumbled to myself which earned me an amused smile from Kara. I couldn't quite decipher what she meant by it, but I decided to drop it.
After we fell silent, I noticed that Raven's lips thinned slightly. She then went and put away her dirty dishes before she wanted to leave the room, but stopped after I called to her.
"I heard that you already know about my gravity chamber?"
"Yes?"
"I want to show you how to train with it and teach you some meditation techniques that might help you out."
"Sure-"
"I thought we would continue?" Kara pouted at me, but I shook my head.
"You said it yourself, you need time to rest. Besides 9 hours should be enough for now."
Kara bit her lower lip before she blurred over me and gave me a quick peck, "Alright, let's go then." I raised an eyebrow as she rarely joined me in the gravity chamber before deciding to just entertain her.
We quickly reached my basement and I swept away the stuff I placed in front of the wall before pulling out the metal block that posed as a wall.
I dropped the block on the ground. The chain attached to it clinked on the ground. We went through the hallway and I pulled the block back into the wall.
Before we stepped inside the chamber I used my telekinesis to turn the artificial gravity to zero. I usually had it default on 30G, to make it a bit more difficult for any thief or unwanted intruder even though anyone that could pull that metal block out to access the gravity should be able to withstand it.
For those that somehow made their way through the 10cm, wide air vents would be squished to death. I was thinking about Atom or anyone that could turn themselves small.
Kara showed Raven around rather proudly like she was the one that was using or had built it. Raven seemed very interested which I took as a good sign. Maybe some of my advice came through to her.
"Want to go for a test run?" I questioned. She glanced at me before widening her stance to gain some stability.
She nodded, giving me the cue to activate it. I started at 2G and she didn't even struggle a little bit and could walk around with no trouble. I was expecting as much. 2G wasn't that impressive to withstand, even normal humans could easily do it, but it did make me wonder how physically strong a half-demon could become.
Although her brother's main strength came from their magical abilities, they weren't half-bad physically either. She might give me a surprise if I pushed her beyond her limits, though her main training would still consist of meditation.
Thinking of her meditation, there was something wrong with it and from what she had told me, it had to be about the technique itself. Even when I had re-watched the show as a human adult, I had already found her way of controlling her emotions to be problematic. Suppressing and denying her own emotions could only be a short-term solution.
I should probably focus on that. She would be more than just formidable after she digested everything I knew about psychic powers and could use her emotions to work for her instead of against her.
I was thinking about how she had banished the omnipotent-like demon, Trigon. I remembered that he said that he was weakened, but that didn't take away much from her accomplishment.
I upped the gravity making her start to struggle at 10G. She could still walk around normally and do some basic exercises. When I upped it further she was forced to activate her psychic abilities so that she could withstand the higher pressure. My telepathy brushed against her mind's defenses and I could almost feel how her force field crumble from the sudden 'attack'.
I quickly deactivated the gravity. Raven collapsed to the ground while heaving heavily. I would need to work on her concentration as well, especially on multiple levels.
She might handle multiple things with her telekinesis/magic at the same time, but she should at least be able to do it while engaging physically as well. There were a lot of areas for her to improve in. The anti-gravity androids would make a fine addition to her training...
As I was thinking about how to achieve the optimal training plan for her, Kara and I helped her up. There was also no denying that she needed some mental health counseling and it was something she should be doing sooner than later.
After having a breather and a drink, I was about to urge her on, but it wasn't necessary as she stood up on her own, readying herself by lowering her stance.
I couldn't help but smile at that and turn the gravity to 8G. She was confused at first. I cleared it up for her after I explained that I wanted her to improve incrementally in small steps.
If she were a Saiyan I would just have upped the gravity and told her to get used to it by breaking her body bit by bit, but that obviously wouldn't fly with her. At least not to the same degree. As a former personal trainer, I was going to approach her like I would other humans even if she was half-demon.
It would let me see how she would react to certain training methods before I could make out the differences to humans and how to optimize her training. It was the first time in a long time since I had trained anyone, probably a decade or so, but I found my mind quickly adapting back to its former mindset.
I then let her do some basic calisthenic exercises at 8G which she followed with no complaints. It was only after a short workout of an hour or so that Raven was too exhausted to continue. Anything more wouldn't be too beneficial, so we decided to call it a day. At least, for the physical training.
I would teach her some meditation first so she could train on her own while I focused on perfecting my Super Saiyan state. Though before I started my lessons, I would need to eat.
My stomach was grumbling which was quickly followed by Kara's. Our previous 'exercise' had been exhausting, so we needed some nutrients.
...
After eating our fill worthy of a Saiyan and Kryptonian, I guided the still perturbed Raven back into the gravity chamber. I wanted to go over her meditation technique as well as discuss with her alternatives.
We went back into the gravity chamber and sat down across from each other cross-legged. Kara happily walked to the side to watch us. I loved seeing her happy like that. Usually, with Maxima or Felicia around she was rather reserved or annoyed, which was perfectly understandable.
I wanted to talk about Raven's past a bit and asked if she was okay with Kara being here, but she didn't seem to mind at all. Maybe it had to do something with them having already talked in abundance, "You mentioned that Azar taught you everything you knew, right?"
She told me that Azar was the spiritual leader of the people of Azarath and seemed to have led them for quite some time. The leader's position and name were usually passed down to the daughter. From how Raven described her, she was a god-like being with vast magical powers, which made me wonder why she taught her in such a harmful way.
"Yes. She told me that the only way to be free from Trigon's influence was to suppress every and any emotion. As a child, she showed me how to suppress and ignore these emotions physically with meditations but also psychically with a mirror."
Raven pulled out the mirror that I recognized from the show. It was a portal to her mind if I remembered correctly. She continued to explain how she could separate the emotions to have minimal effect on her ego. When the emotions were separated, they couldn't overpower her, she revealed.
The meditation was in that vein as well. She used her ego and rationality to suppress her emotional side. She had imprisoned herself in her own mind. It was actually quite sad to hear her speak about it so nonchalant.
It wasn't the fact that the meditation was the worst she could practice with her situation in mind, but there were better options. While suppressing her emotions and denying their influence on her could in turn deny Trigon's influence on her, it wasn't without detriment to Raven.
I could also see how it might be effective to have her meditate this way to keep her powers from growing in case she decided to revel in her 'evil' side or rather in negative emotions like wrath, jealousy, and so on.
It was a smart move on Azar's part if she had been capable of keeping Raven away from Trigon permanently. Now that Azar was dead, her teachings should be adjusted, especially since Raven had long left Azarath.
"Raven, you do know that you aren't your emotions, right?" She looked at me confused. "It isn't natural to think this way, but just like thoughts didn't represent one's being, emotions didn't sum up who you are either.
One could choose to be influenced by them or not. The idea that you didn't react to your emotions is a step in the right direction, but there is more to it than just denying and suppressing your emotions."
She frowned at my thoughts as she mulled over them, but I wasn't done yet, "Though that didn't mean you should deny and suppress them. In fact, you should be acknowledging them for what they are."
She was about to retort but I held up my hand so she would let me continue, which she reluctantly did, "Your emotions aren't you but they sometimes have a reason why they are there in the first place whether you like it or not. It is because this is the case, you can do something about them.
Denying that you have a certain emotion would only keep it alive, especially if they have a reason to exist. Hidden inside your mind, they will keep growing while you pretend that they don't exist even though you know for a fact that they do.
I don't mean that you have to act upon whatever you feel, but you should at the very least acknowledge them, only with that step taken you can work on letting them pass by. If you try to push them away without working through them will only lead to them sticking to you more."
From the cartoon, I remembered quite clearly how she overcome some of her troubles. She usually tried to deny her own emotions and suppress them but she only got better when she acknowledged them like in the episode where she vehemently denied being afraid because of a movie they had watched. It wasn't until she acknowledged that she was indeed afraid that the issue resolved itself.
"...What has that to do with your meditation technique?"
"A meditation technique is just a tool, but you have to understand what you are doing it for. So remember that emotions are part of you, acknowledge them or even analyze them if you found them sticking around, and understand why you are feeling this way, but also don't obsess with overanalyzing them. There is a delicate balance to it, but only when you can do all of these things at will are they going to disperse on their own. You can't hide or lock them away, it will only make you miserable in the long run."
After interacting with her for the past few days I wouldn't have recognized it as an issue since I noticed when she was flustered or excited. Maybe it was the contrast of her usual blank expression and monotone voice that the highs and lows were so pronounced to me. It also helped that as a Saiyan I noticed any small physical changes in my opposite.
She had opened up a lot already and allowed herself to be happy more often, but I noticed that she was still trying her best to suppress any emotion that came up whether 'good' or 'bad'. Without a vent, she would either explode someday or it would eat her from the inside out.
I wasn't sure if I was the best to guide her since I was struggling with handling my emotions especially since I had changed bodies, but I only need to show her how to take the first step everything else could be solved on her own.
"Alright, sit down in a comfortable position." She remained cross-legged, put her hands on her knees, and even straightened her back slightly as she closed her eyes, ready to absorb my technique.
She didn't seem to ponder too deeply about my words. It seemed like she didn't take my words too close to heart, but I was sure that she would remember them if necessary.
"That's comfortable to you?"
She opened one eye after I asked her, "Yes? I always meditate this way."
"Relax a bit. Let your muscles loosen up and relax... You don't have to do anything, let your magic roam free as well, and if your mind wants to wander let it to wherever it wants to. There is no pressure to empty your thoughts, nor should you be actively engaging with thoughts that are appearing. Just watch them move by like clouds. Right now, nothing should bother you, simply observe them."
...
The water splashed loudly when it hit my shoulders before it fell into the river below me. I stood on the rock right beneath the waterfall in my backyard. My feet were shoulder-wide apart. My body was slightly lowered with my elbows to the side while my hands clenched into fists.
I felt the energy rise from deep inside me as I stirred up my ki as much as possible. It bubbled up as it flow freely inside me before spreading out of my body. The water ceased to hit my shoulders as I continued to dig deeper, focusing on my back while I thought about the dread and anger I felt during my talk with Kara.
Something was getting riled up inside me and threatened to break out, but I just hovered there at the very edge. I pushed and pushed but I felt myself staying on that edge. The surroundings occasionally shone goldenly.
My body was slowly breaking apart as I tried to dig deeper into my Saiyan strength, but the power that I wanted to move was resisting my will like a stubborn child. I realized I wasn't strong enough to force it to move. It wasn't stirred and convinced enough to move.
I let go of my power and calmed myself. The water of the river crashed back in the middle after having been pushed to the side. The water resumed falling on my shoulder.
I jumped to the riverside and heard the rock that I had been standing on, crumble underneath the waterfall.
After looking into the sky, I could see the dark clouds hovering over the city. I felt how my ki electrified the atmosphere. The lightning that illuminated the dark sky underlined the significance of what my powers were capable of.
Just me being on the verge of transforming was changing the weather. The weather would soon calm down without me stirring up a literal storm.
There wasn't much left for me to transform at will. I had to get just a tiny bit stronger then I could transform whenever I wanted without trying my hardest to do so. I realized that it was one thing to transform in the heat of the moment and when I tried to simulate the feelings I had and the mindset I was in.
I probably could do it whenever I was in a real battle, but I think it would be almost impossible to do it in training. During my talk with Kara, it had been natural. Dare I say, easy. Now I had to pull my teeth to do the same. Maybe if I had a Zenkai like Goku did after his battle with Freezer while transformed I wouldn't have any problems transforming either.
After going back inside I found Raven sitting in the living room reading a book while Supergirl was watching TV. I made myself something to eat before sitting next to Kara, who leaned against me with her hand on my stomach.
"How did it go?"
"Didn't manage it yet, stirred up a storm though. Maybe if you were in danger I could pull it off easily." A good fight probably would be enough as well...
"Aww." Kara had a smile on her face as she peeled her eyes off the TV to look into my eyes. Her eyes glanced down to my lips before she leaned towards me. Her hand ruffled through my hair as she kissed me. Usually, I didn't like it when she interrupted my meal, but I liked it even more when she was as emotional as she was now.
Besides she deserved it. Because of her, I was closer to Super Saiyan than I had ever been, even closer than I was as a Pseudo Super Saiyan. In fact, I could use that state at will now, but it was incredibly taxing on my body.
"Urgh." Raven suddenly groaned out as she gave us a stink eye before leaving for the library.
"What's with her? We weren't even that noisy." I asked as I watched her back retreating out of the room.
"Seriously? Are you... dense?" I frowned at that. Was it because Raven was single and didn't like to be reminded of that fact? I knew a few acquaintances that were like that. They were usually heartbroken too.
She saw my look and gasped in surprise, "You are dense!"
"No, I am not." I denied firmly.
"Ahh, I see. Maybe it was because anyone else just fawns on you openly that you don't realize it?"
"You mean Raven is into me? I had guessed that before already, but she said that it wasn't like that. She isn't really the lying type, so I must have misinterpreted her reactions."
"And you believed her? Wasn't your lesson all about acknowledging her feelings because she is used to denying them? Why are surprised that she denies this too?"
I frowned at that but she did have a point. This could very easily become a problem. I looked at Kara for some suggestions, "And how do you think I should reject her?"
She rolled her eyes as a response, "She didn't say it openly and she knows that we are in a relationship, so she wouldn't make a move. She is sensible like that. It wouldn't make sense to reject her on something that she hadn't admitted to. It's not necessary to intentionally embarrass her. And in the off-chance that she truly tried something, I know I can count on you, can't I? I am not replaceable to you." She just hugged me like a koala, nuzzling herself into my arms as she hid her red face. I kissed the top of her head, but I had my doubts.
"...It might hurt for now, but I don't think not speaking about it would solve the problem. You said it yourself, my lesson was for her to realize her emotions and-"
"Just because she doesn't tell you about it doesn't mean she doesn't acknowledge them, which is why I'll talk with her and see where she stands."
"I think I should-"
"No, especially you shouldn't. I am Rae's friend, so just let me talk with her. I figure something out."
