Journey Towards Greatness

Chapter 1378: Whose Pokemon Are You?

Golisopod and Vikavolt try to display their fierceness, but the attackers are bothered as they have the number advantage.

Seeing that their intimidation tactics aren't working, they go straight for offense.

Golisopod immediately goes behind Vikavolt as Vikavolt charges up the electric current in his body and uses Discharge, sending a powerful wave of electricity all around except the back where Golisopod is taking shelter.

The electric wave hits every pokemon that tries to approach the two, immediately stopping them in their tracks except one. With most of the enemies' movement coming to a halt, Golisopod makes his move.

His unusually small frame makes him incredibly swift and nimble, so using his speed, he uses Frist-Impression, a move that can only be used once during a battle as the very first move, though limited by this aspect, the move is incredibly powerful and it shows.

Golisopod hits a Gastrodon, which is in the lead with it, and the Gastrodon is immediately put to sleep.

Galisopod doesn't stop there. Using his speed, he immediately targets the other pokemons who were stopped by Vikavolt's Discharge. Galisopod uses Fury Cutter as he goes past these electrified pokemons and takes all of them out with one swift movement.

As Golisopod stops his rampage, the remaining Cipher members who still have not ordered their pokemons try to attack Golisopod using special attacks.

Golisopod immediately turns his back towards the incoming attack and uses Iron Defense, a coat of steel energy envelops his shell and he curls up, covering every part of his body seemingly.

Seeing that all their focus is on attacking Golisopod, Vikavolt makes his move. Vikavolt's wings start flapping at hyper-speed creating a loud buzzing noise. His body sparks with streaks of electricity which soon engulfs his whole body.

Vikavolt uses Wild Charge and propels his body towards the enemies. Like a blur, Vikavolt ends up crashing into a Garbodor and sends it flying and crashing into its trainer.

Vikavolt then immediately uses Discharge again and electrocutes all the enemy pokemons who are now right next to him.

All these pokemons, along with their trainers, get zapped till they pass out.

And just like that, the enemy is taken care of, but it is not over.

Julian "Let's move"

Julian orders and walks out of the lab, followed by Golisopod and Vikavolt. His next stop is the lowest floor of the lab where Professor Krane is being held right now.

As for the scientists, they can't do anything but stare at Julian with horror as he walks past them. They are scientists, not Pokemon trainers. What are they gonna do to stop this man when the fighting members of their organization were taken out so effortlessly by just two pokemons who didn't even receive any instructions?

As the torture of Professor Krane was about to continue, the alarms started blaring and lights started flashing red, alerting everyone in the room.

"What is happening?" the pink-haired teenager shouts as the sudden noise spooked her a little.

"We will go and find out, madam," two very buff cipher members say and run out in a hurry, trying to figure out what is happening.

"Is this your doing?" the pink-haired teenager looks at Krane and asks.

Krane "Haha, how can it be me? I have been tied up since the moment you people brought me here."

"Are you making fun of me? Do you think I am stupid?" the teenage brat raises her voice in annoyance and tries to smack Professor Krane.

But her hand suddenly comes to a stop right before reaching Professor Krane's face. The girl's eyes widen with shock as she doesn't know what is happening. To her, it feels like someone is grabbing her hand, but she isn't able to see anyone.

"Who is it? Show yourself!!" the girl shouts.

"Gegegegegege"

The girl suddenly hears a very creepy laughter, sending shivers down her spine.

"LET GO OF MEEEEEEE~" the girl shrills and flails her arm. Suddenly the grip around her wrist disappears, and she falls butt-first on the floor. She looks around the room with fearful eyes while slowly getting back to her feet.

"Naps, keep your eyes on h-him, I will go check and see what's going on," she immediately makes an excuse and runs out of the room in fear leaving Gengar giggling in silence.

The aforementioned Naps stand there dumbfounded by his sister's action. Yes, the girl who just ran away is his elder sister.

Naps "I can't believe Lovrina would leave me alone in this room,"

The boy wearing cipher gear who doesn't seem much older than fifteen says while looking around the room in feer. He, too, saw what just happened to his sister, and he didn't want to be a victim of this unknown entity.

Naps "Mr. I don't know who you are, but please don't hurt me. I am innocent. I didn't even want to do this. My sister forced me into coming here and wearing this stupid costume."

Naps begged in a fearful tone. Little does he know that Gengar is inches away from his face, looking at him.

Gengar looks at the boy and feels no malice coming off of him. The boy just seems to be a victim of his sister's bad choices.

Krane "Hello, whoever it is, can you help me?"

Krane speaks up as he believes that whoever this is came to rescue him because he couldn't think of any other reason to infiltrate a Cipher lab and cause this much chaos.

And as those words come out of his mouth, the ropes binding him slowly loosen up and start floating in the air, spooking Naps even more.

Krane "Can I know whose Pokemon are you?"

Even though he can't see Gengar, Krane is a Pokemon professor. He is smart enough to realize that this is all the doing of a pokemon, he just doesn't know whose pokemon this is. He doesn't know anyone who owns a pokemon that can become invisible.
