Chapter 91: Class Of The Selected (1)
"Right here... God... What is this place..."
I'm seeing multiple sparkles of mana clashing against each other. My curiosity got my feet to walk there. The roaring screams and the ferocious, ear-splitting distortion rang out, taking away the silence of the quiet hall behind me. In midst of this ridiculous sound ringing in my ears, a horrendous battle was at its peak at the end of this hall.
Since I'm taking myself to the class of the elites or the S-class. I wonder if those two guys that fought in the cafeteria will remember me? I'm pretty sure I did it fast that they didn't even see a glimpse of my face, yet some students caught my presence at that time because of Arya.
It is indeed a problem I need to address... Moreover, I also wonder if they receive proper punishment for what they did?
There's nothing unusual about the place other than its luxurious look and elitism vibe it gives. As I walk nonchalantly closer to my destination, the temperature increased with every step—the intensity and the sensation of it became stronger. Then I walk through the light at the end of the hall, to see two individuals having a battle of their strength.
Two men holding unique weapons are fighting in the middle of the arena. It's a spectacle as one of them has an interesting color of mana—gold. While the other one has silver, yet relies on these rectangular objects in his hands throwing them to the other guy.
The immense pressuring gust of wind blew right in front of my face. Looking down at the fight, scanning around the fight, specifically at the audience seats. I caught the sight of my two girls chattering happily at the side, then not far across them, a matured man was sitting in his fancy clothes. He looks like a professor with his glass and stuff. Although, I'm still not sure myself.
My class just ended and all things went smooth, normally, in spite of what happened earlier. Adal didn't attend our classes earlier. And, Lars acted normal which is surprising with the only exception of others.
From my observation, there seem to be at least nine of them, or perhaps even more. They even have more people in here than my class. And, I over here thought there will be like hundred of us in F-class.
"Hey, what are you doing here? Are you lost?"
I turn my head around to see the woman who spoke to me, and to my dismay, it's this woman again.
"Geh?! You again?!"
"Oh, Ms. Ami. Good evening."
"What are you doing here in this ungodly hour? Don't you still have classes to attend?"
"All my class ended pretty early, so I'm here to visit the two. I'm not sure where we got on a wrong footing, but I'm here to apologize if there were some stuff I did to you that may have upset you." I slightly bow my head to Ami.
In shock, her eyes widen. "O-O-Oh... T-There's nothing particular really..." Then her eyes caught my uniform. "S-Sorry..." Ami said with guilt plastered all over her place, but it could be also confusion. I also got confused by her reaction.
"Thank you."
Out of pity, Ami led me where Lily and Adelle sitting and didn't utter a word on the way, as she cast her eyes down, contemplating her actions. Honestly, I only spoke about what's been bothering me throughout the times we've encountered each other. Before we could even reach them, a stray magical compressed man came right after us which I fend it off, bouncing it to the wall behind us.
-Bang!
Yet, none of them noticed it even Ami beside me. I find it fascinating how they're okay with this stuff when some godly powers are clashing against each other. On our way, a simulation of the future events occurred inside my head. So, I stopped Ami's track and said. "Can you just tell them I'm here? I'll be waiting outside."
Not sure, but I'm getting a bad feeling.
"A student from Class-F?"
Turning my head around, I saw a good-looking person with blonde hair and blue eyes. The man whom Shin was fighting yesterday. Yes, he's the one that I tossed along Shin. Behind him, he's radiating a divine presence. However, he narrows his eyelids to me. "Wait a minute... I've seen your face somewhere..."
"I don't recall meeting or seeing you, sorry."
"Really? Oh well, I'm just here for another thing. Little Ami." Then he summons a mace on his hand, the chains are making a clanking sound as he swings it softly. Purple mana burst right behind him. The mace he's holding had been coated by his purple mana. His body is not making a slight move, as if it's waiting for something.
"What do you want, Ciel? Don't push my buttons again, or it won't end well. I already tolerated you from attacking Shin, but I won't forgive you the second time."
"I know. But in the end, you won't have any choice since I'm your fiancee."
Between the heated up conversation, I stood there figuring things out. 'Wait a minute, is this the fiancee versus protagonist? If so, this is going to be interesting. I haven't seen it in person and only heard it from my brother's story, but I'm hoping for some juicy drama on this one. Yet, why is he holding his weapon in front of his fiancee? Is he planning to attack her?'
Then he glance over his side, glacial ice came right after him, concealing his movements. Next, a sword made from blood was sticking up to his neck.
"I'll cut your head off if you ever try to move," Adelle said.
"I also suggest that," Lily added.
""Are both of you, okay?"" The two look at us in worry.
Adelle and Lily appeared in front of Ciel in a blink of an eye. Ciel who was in shock glances back and forth between us three, contemplating over his own thoughts. From how the two behave, it looks like Ciel would be bad news. Plus, was it really needed? Ami could probably handle him alone.
'Wow, what an entrance.' I thought.
"What going on here?"
The old man with glasses went to us alongside the entire class. However, once he saw my face, his face became sour and put up all of his defenses. Am I that frightening? "Thank you, Ms. Lily and Adelle. Mr. Claude Weiss, what are you doing in my class? Did Ms. Sienna dismiss the class this early?"
"My class ended early, sir. Sorry for—"
Before I could even reply, a scream loud enough for us to cover our ears. "Claude! Let's spar!" As usual, it was Arya. She was just right behind the professor, waving her two hands to me in excitement. "Let's spar! We're doing one, join us!"
I squeeze the bridge of my nose, reminiscing Arya's one-of-a-kind brain. She's the embodiment of the dull goddess. Still, it fascinates me. "No, I'm just here to greet Lily and Adelle. Sorry for disturbing"
"Eh??? Booo~ Come on~"
"No."
"Flat rejection?! I'm bored. Can we?"
"No."
"One time? I promise I will go easy on you."
"No."
"Just a little? I know that you're bored too."
"No."
"Hmph! Fine! I'll force you later!"
"No."
Arya storms down the stairs. I
I glance at Lily and Adelle. Our eyes made contact, sending a message to them that we'll meet later after their class. I didn't know they're still in class or they're doing a sparring match against each other. Afterward, we'll meet Stephanie somewhere... Probably in their dorm.
Furthermore, countless eyes are already on my back. If I'm correct, this class is responsible for saving this academy from different disasters. Basically, the protagonist class group. And that also says the different kinds of weird or appearances of every single person in here. I can even hear some of their questioning remarks about me.
"Hold on." The professor said, halting me on my tracks.
"Yes?"
"Why don't you join us? You're already here, might as well join us on watching instead of waiting outside."
Regardless of what he said, perhaps there are hidden motives behind his words. He might be testing or assessing me on a closer look, to probably answer some conjectures about my spirit. So my response would be—"Thank you if you don't find me disturbing. I'll humbly accept."
Below us, I saw Shin with his eyes looking at me. Obviously enough, the other S students became confused by the sudden invitation of their professor. The most disturbing about this was Arya who's looking at me with anticipation and excitement, like a predator preying upon its victim. Unsure if whether I feel good about accepting the invitation or not.
My purpose in accepting the invitation was not because of my boredom. I'm also intrigued by the students here and their powerful spirit. Who wouldn't get curious to watch a class of elites fighting each other? Without a doubt, this would also be a great experience.
"Ms. Adelle and Ms. Lily get off from Mr. Ciel. And, Mr. Ciel, I already sent you a fair warning. One more, and you'll be under a strict provision. After yesterday's events, the headmaster already warned you about your behavior. You and Mr. Shin. You two won't have a good time in here, and I assure you that. Think of yesterday pushing your luck, but there'll be no next time."
Ciel scornfully turns his head the other way around.
"Well then, Mr. Claude, welcome to the class of the selected or the S-Class."
