Venessa for him?
"Woof! This barrier was one heck of overwhelming. I wonder how humans got their hands on such ancient ruins."
Sighed exaggeratedly was the male demon who came along with his partner to capture their target.
It goes without saying that the target they were aiming from the start and the reason why they left their soldiers leaderless amidst war, was none other than the Saint of Humanity, Luna.
The whole attack plan on the Gram borders and infiltration inside the perimeter with the help of an 'insider' was centered on the abduction, which was ongoing right now.
The male demon was the one, who used his terrorizing curse spell to break the barrier Austin had built around the black orb.
It took almost 70% of his miasma and around ten minutes to finally break through the first and second layers of defense.
The female demon helped with the wooden dolls, who lunged at the creatures just after the barrier was breached, which she handled somehow.
Finally, after their prolonged hard work, which exceeded their expectation, the destination came into their view.
The strange black globe was floating in mid-air as the demon sighed simultaneously as the completion of their job seemed to not so far, however...
"You feel that?"
"Hmm. Our soldiers are getting annihilated..?!"
The female demon, who responded in a calm tone, ended with an exclamation as she sensed the absurd mana surge from the battleground along with the vanishing life signatures of her soldiers at an astonishing rate.
"T-They aren't getting annihilated...rather someone is massacring them.."
The male demon felt chills of death reaching up to his throat as the scale of mana they both received was far from what they could have expected from someone from the human side.
"W-we should hurry up!"
"But it's already too late."
The female demon, who was about to turn toward the black globe and take it away wholly with the person inside, halted her movements as she heard her partner's call.
Turning her head in the direction where the male demon was eyeing, she felt cold water running down her whole body as she saw someone approaching toward them at a furious pace.
"Philia, you stand back. This one doesn't seem to be a talkative type."
The male demon grinned slightly as he gestured for Philia to step aside since the incoming human, just from the temperament, looked too aggressive even to have a word.
And that's what the demon wanted too...
Philia, obediently nodded, and made space as a smirk also adorned her inhumane yet charming face. The reason why her demeanor was still non-wavering even though she sensed every soldier had disappeared from existence was simple ...
'Facing off strength with Velak? I pity this human already~.'
But little did she expect that the end result would be something so unbelievably unexpected ...
**BOOOOOOOOM**
At a terrifying pace, Austin shoots toward the male demon Valek before colliding his fist with the demon.
The blow was so frighteningly loud that the people on the battlefield, along with every student inside the main school building, heard its after effect.
The ground underneath the two trembled before a crater of 100 meters was formed with the colliding figures as its center.
Shock would be the emotion that mostly those who heard the reverberation of the clash, felt. But the female demon who was witnessing such sight felt herself in a greater astonishment than being merely shocked.
The partner she knew was a genuinely terrifying First Rank Terror Demon, whose physical might could even rival some of the Mythic Rank. But right now, he lost to a mere puny human boy?
"Khwakh!"
Valek knelt on the ground just in front of Austin, as he felt his whole arm going numb due to the absence of any usable bone underneath the skin.
In just a single punch, the human, who by build was half of Valek, took away his high-grade armor along with his whole arm, and looking at the human's expression, it didn't seem, he felt a single ounce of pain out of it, at all!
"W-What are you..."
Asking with his voice slightly shaky was the aforementioned confident and egoistic demon who had his previous belief shattering just like his bones.
Austin, without bothering to reply, turned himself toward the female demon who still hadn't recovered from the shock, as a bone-freezing voice reached up to her senses.
"Are you the cause of the Blessings' disappearance ?"
The female demon jerked as she looked at Austin in pure bafflement, unsure what she had just heard. But when she finally realized the cause of this unnatural human's agitation, a grin formed across her face.
"Fufu~ Yeah, it's me who-"
**SLING**
Before her words could have reached it's conclusion, a flash suddenly passed through her before she felt what she had never thought of letting happen.
The thread which connects a being from their mortality was shrewd by the human even before she could have reacted.
Her eyes went wide as she saw her vision dropping toward the ground, with the lights of the day fading at an unnatural pace.
'Huh? Am I...'
"Philia!!!!! You bastard!"
The male demon, who just sensed the life of his beloved reaching its end, enraged furiously before rising to his feet with dark miasma covering his aura.
Austin whipped his spear once to wipe the little blood stains, as he stared solemnly at the furious demon.
The demon, without hesitating even, for instance, launched his still intact hand toward Austin's face, which the latter one didn't confront this time, rather....
**SLICK**
With a smooth footing, Austin titled his body to get out of the demon's trajectory, before he slashed the blade of his spear and cut off the demon's hand in a clean cut.
**Splurt**
The demon stared at the dark purplish blood gushing out of his arm like a faucet as his attack never met its destination.
"Don't struggle."
Austin was keeping this demon alive since he needed information, or he would have sent this one to the other side as well, along with his lover.
The demon still had enough rage left that he tried using one of the spells on Austin, only to get negated even before he could have conjured it entirely.
Feeling powerless to take his vengeance, the demon contemplated deeply as he kept his gaze straight on the human.
Valek's strength was nothing compared to what humungous might this human carries. His spell was being played like it was the easiest thing to suppress in the world.
His lover was dead. The mission was on the verge of collapsing. His life wasn't in his control anymore. All the routes seemed blocked when an unexpected path came to his rescue.
"Austin."
