The beginning of the End~2!
"Something feels wrong."
Amidst strolling around the city with his lover's hand intimately being held by him, Austin suddenly muttered under his breath as his steps also came to a halt gradually.
Luna, upon sensing the sudden change in her beloved's temperament, frowned slightly before her eyes glimmered strangely.
The cyan shine of her eyes only covered her gaze for a couple of seconds before a profound expression spread across her face, which didn't go unnoticed by Austin.
"Luna?"
His question was unheard as Luna was already in the process of chanting a spell.
Soon her eyes returned to normal before a magic circle drew around both of them, illuminating the dark street in the process.
"Austin....be prepared."
This was the last thing Austin heard before the teleportation took place.
The atmosphere around their perception turned completely white, which made Austin close his eyes abruptly.
"Huh?"
Even before he opened his eyes, he felt the hand that was clutching Luna fall down, signifying that the person beside him had just fallen.
Opening his eyes in an instant, Austin saw something unbelievable. The person he believed to be the strongest was kneeling on the ground while panting heavily like she had lost all her vitality.
"Luna?!"
Austin, without caring about the distorted surrounding, knelt just before Luna as he supported her while trying to figure out what had just happened so suddenly.
He also did feel something was wrong, but to the extent that could throw even Luna into such a condition?
Her body was trembling, with the natural redness of her face fading away. Austin was growing nervous, passing each second as he heard Luna's weak voice all of a sudden.
"T-There is somet-*cough*thing blocking the blessing of gods. *Hah* I am okay, Austin; just the lack of mana *huff* is making me dizzy. O-once you destroy the thing which is causing this change *cough*."
"Shh, It's okay. I got it."
Austin held her body closely in his embrace as he concluded the unnatural feeling around him.
Taking out a capsule-like thing from his inventory, Austin threw it on the ground, before the capsule emerged as a giant round globe.
The outer surface of the globe seemed to be made of something hard and unbreakable, with a blue and red light shining at the central belt.
Austin got up with Luna in his arms before he tapped on the red light.
**SWIIISSH**
The upper half of the globe instantly parted up before comfortable bedding with some necessities like water and food supplies appeared inside of it.
Austin looked at the weak and trembling body of his most precious person, before he resolved himself and gently brought Luna over to the bed.
The capsule was one of the rewards he got from the system, which in general words, was a Survival Pod.
The globe has the capability to withstand any kind of atmosphere and condition and provide the resident with the best condition which they prefer. The supply of necessities was limitless inside, which ensured that the survivor could even spend their life inside of it.
Since the open air didn't feel to be working well on Luna, Austin felt the capsule would be the best solution.
"Just wait for me here, Luna. I will solve this one real quick and come back to you before you wake up from your nap."
Despite him acting hard, seeing Luna in such a miserable condition, his heart was clenching hard like never before. This wasn't the first time he was witnessing his beloved one in their worst, but this pain he was feeling currently was nothing compared to what he had experienced until now.
Gathering the last of her strength, Luna lifted her hand before Austin swiftly took it, not to let her exert any further strength.
Smiling weakly, Luna muttered under her breath.
"I-Isn't it hilarious that I never get to help you at the m-most critical times...I-Is it destiny or god just hates the idea to let our happin..ess last long..."
"Don't say something like that. You already have helped plenty enough. Now it's time for me to work and make my woman proud of my achievement. So don't think foolishly about destiny or god. Until I am here, I won't let anyone decide what we deserve."
A beautiful smile spread across her lips as she nodded feebly. Before she could have lost consciousness, Austin hurriedly pulled back the cover of the globe to not let her suffer anymore.
Austin kept his gaze on the globe for several seconds, thinking about the person who was just behind the surface before he somehow came back to himself.
Turning on his heels, he took out five wooden dolls from his inventory before throwing them on the ground.
**KRRRRR**
Suddenly five humongous figures emerged out of nowhere with the appearance of faceless wooden demons. Despite their outer surface, each one of them was a veteran fighter of high rank.
These five were also the artifact that the system rewarded Austin in the past. Since he had never felt the need for bodyguards until now, he never considered touching them.
"Protect her."
Without any expectation of a response, Austin left the five dolls around the globe before he walked some distance away from them.
Turning his front toward the five figures and one substantial black globe, Austin suddenly landed his palm on the ground before a magic circle of 200 meters was invoked around the place.
**TREMBLE**
The ground shook violently as soon a cage of more than 400 meters in height emerged all around the five wooden dolls who were surrounding the capsule globe.
The cage was built with natural material but what Austin added from his inventory, made the cell stronger than ever before.
Around ten long pieces of white paper, which had some Japanese calligraphy imprinted on it, appeared around Austin, hanging in mid-air and waiting to be planted.
Austin, using his will, directed the ten pieces on the walls of the cage.
The calligraphy pieces were, in actuality, seals of spell negation. Any mana-originated attack would be suppressed even if the attack reaches up to Legend Rank.
Next, he did was to use an invisible bubble barrier that had the capability to neutralize any kind of physical attack and also reflect them in a destructible manner.
'I guess this would do...'
Austin stared at the place cage for some minutes. Took his time to calm his raging heart, which urged him to forget all about the ongoing situation and take the capsule away from here.
Finally, after more than a minute, he came back to himself before turning toward the place he was receiving such grave sensation for.
'Wait for me, Luna.'

[5 minutes earlier]
"Commander Rachel! Help Kyouki and leave the things around here to us!!"
Shouted at the top of her lungs was the supporter warrior mage, Sicily, as she used her battle axe to slay a Unique Grade Demon in one slash.
Despite losing the blessing, the supporter warrior was able to keep up with the pace and help the front lines in holding the fort steady even though the ambush commenced more than 20 minutes ago.
After the disappearance of blessings from the warrior, what was left was only the physical might of the warriors and the old ways of dealing with things.
"I will move at once!"
Saying so, Rachael, in a far worse condition than other soldiers, slayed a demon using his sword, before he looked for the presence of the hero.
'The heck...!'
Rachael's body shivered as he finally got a glimpse of what was resisting the stampede of the monsters. The small number of demons that the lower line of defense, including Rachael, was handling were those demons who escaped from the front line.
Now, who composed the front line when the majority of the hero's party and Royal Knights were on the lower line?
Only two people.
"Y-You hanging there, boy!!"
Asked in a loud, hoarse voice was a bald old man in his late sixties, as he swung his twin sabers and annihilated a pair of reptilian Unique Ranked demons in the process.
"Yeah...somehow!"
Replied in a fluster was the raven-haired handsome youth who currently had an enhanced body armor covering his whole body with a two-meter shield in hand and a longsword moving at a furious pace and eradicating various demons along with slashes.
Kyouki was thoroughly terrified, after witnessing the change in the air, which practically sucked the greatest strength of any mage, their blessing, out of them like suddenly Gods have pulled their hands off their worshiper.
Mages like Lilia and other conjurors from the Royal Capital, became completely powerless as their blessings were the only thing they majorly relied on.
Despite having mana to evoke spells, without blessings, those spells would be like a slash of a blade but without sharpness at its edge. Blessings were the source that helps a chanter to enhance their spell and support in the redirection of its evocation.
Without such resourceful backing, the mages were only working as minor support to the front and back line by utilizing whatever they could under such unexpected circumstances.
'Shit!'
Being a little diverted from his surroundings, Kyouki felt a massive blow landing on his back, which resulted in his front fall.
"Kyouki!!"
Vanessa roared as she saw Kyouki getting overwhelmed by the number of demons, as his figure soon disappeared among the black and gray sea of anguish.
But despite wanting to rush toward his beloved, Venesssa was pushed back by a group of demons as she held her ground somehow.
Sicily and Lilia had similar intentions, but the lower line got overly crowded because of the fall of Kyouki, resulting in the failure of reinforcement to the hero.
Rachael, who saw such a scene, bit his lip in frustration for not being able to help Kyouki, but suddenly, his eyes went wide like something life-threatening had been picked up by his senses.
Taking the minuscule of time in between his battles, he looked into the air before he muttered under his breath, which only he was able to hear.
"Something terrifying is incoming."
