Mama~
"The bastard child of Wrights. The prodigy who defeated an army alone. What an honor to meet such an entity in person."
Sabes turned toward the blond boy who was walking up to them with his eyes hollow as a black hole with his gaze remained only on the woman.
Completely disregarding the man, Austin stood before Sophia as he brought his hand toward her cheek before collecting the pearl-like tear on the side of his index.
Sophia was utterly astonished by so many developments, along with the fear she had felt some moments ago, which left her speechless.
At that moment, she had forgotten all the facade she had maintained in front of her firstborn as she raised her hand and pinched Austin's sleeve while shedding more and more tears.
**SWIISH**
A profound amount of intent rose and covered Austin, making him look wrapped in flames of radiant shades.
Keeping his mother and sister in a safe space, Austin let loose of his aura, which made the violet-haired man tremble in a fret as he fell on his butt because of such coercive intent he felt for the first time.
The feeling of death just from someone's aura was something Sabes had felt for the first time. His forehead was drenched in sweat while he retreated slightly back with his eyes wide, staring at the back of the unexpected appearance.
'I-Is he re-really a human anymore... '
On the other side, Sophia tucked Austin's sleeve a little stiffly as she realized Sabes condition. Austin knew what it was about, as he sighed with a smile.
Taking her hand, he spoke gently to soothe her mother.
"Don't worry; I have taken care of Sir Vincent and Benjamin."
Sophia felt relieved hearing about the safety of her beloveds, but the way Austin called his father made her a little sad as she looked at him in disapproval.
Austin swept his glance away before turning toward the person on the ground.
"I will be back."
Saying so, Austin released Sophia's hand before he started walking toward Sabes with heavy steps. The look in his eyes was completely different compared to how he looked at his family.
Sabes shivered all over as he communicated with his troops waiting on the sidelines if something like this occurred.
But as soon he tried to connect with them, a blank response came in return, throwing Sabes into despair.
His eyes trembled as he realized that not only a mere teenager had breached his illusionary barrier, but also, all the elite soldiers he had trained to take part in this single job had been slaughtered without Sabes noticing.
"This can't be..."
His belief in actuality has been fading since Austin arrived, but the feeling of death nearing his throat helped Sabes to escape his stupor as he released a mind manipulation attack on Austin.
[Enslave]
Austin swatted the incoming spell away like a fly, much to Sophia's disbelief. It was indeed astonishing to see Austin playing with such high-grade magic like it meant nothing to him.
Sabes had a much uglier expression as, while gritting his teeth, he cast his second spell.
[Mana Bind]
A set of purple chains augmented around Austin before restraining his movement but only just for a second...
**CLICK**
With a slight jerk of their body, Austin broke free before his body disappeared from the site into thin air.
"Earlier, I heard you were giving choices to my mother?"
Sabes eyes contracted until they reached the thinnest similar to a needle, as he heard the bone-chilling voice just inches apart from him.
Turning his head stiffly, while trembling all over, Sabes was met with a pair of emeralds looking inside his very existence, as Sabes heard the boy...no the monster speaking again.
"Let me give you some options too. First, you run away right now; then I will blow your father's workshop, where he is working diligently, and shred your friends while they are chugging in your hang-out places."
"The second option is to go and rub your head in front of my mother before I give you a slightly less painful death. Oh yeah, the first option does contain your death, albeit after you lose your loved ones."
From start to end, Austin's voice remained emotionless and stoic as ever, like he was chanting a mantra.
The expression on Sabes face changed significantly when the people he only cares for in life were mentioned by the boy he never planned to meet today.
It might be just bogus, but Austin was right about the places where his father and friends could be at this hour.
"Y-You can't kill innocent people! Sophia's child couldn't be such a person!"
Sabes tried to reason about the falsery of Austin's threat. But little did he think Austin wouldn't be like the other two children of his parents.
"Look into my eyes, Sabes. Do you believe I would hesitate a second before ending anyone's life, regardless innocent or not?"
Sabes gaze involuntarily fell on those bottomless orbs, which were too deep and lifeless that made the older one shiver uncontrollably before his eyes turned white, and with a bit of foam gushing out his mouth, he fell unconscious.
Austin shook his head in disappointment as a whisper left his lips.
"Guess, you weren't ready for your own medicine, eh."
Hoping on his toes, Austin walked back to his mother's side, who was looking at the scene until now in utter disbelief and slight pride?
Along the way, he received the notification of something he was expecting.
[Ding!]
[Second Quest]
[Save the Members of Wright's family]
[Status: - Complete]
[Reward: - 300 Villain's Point
A set of Dragger and Cloak(A)]
...
Yes, the reason why Austin was able to save the two men of the Wright family was the system's quest which gave not only their location but also information about the impostors.
Austin had no idea why the system suddenly turned out like this. First Sicily, and now his ex-family was put up on the quest bar. In either case, he would have helped because of two different reasons but the System providing such a generous reward made him baffled.
Well, he wasn't going to reject tho. ..
"Are you okay, mother?"
Austin checked all over, but apart from the rope marks on her wrist and slightly shaken-up emotions, she was fine. And same goes for Eleanor, who was lying unconscious on the ground.
"They are really safe, right?"
Sophia asked while glancing at fallen Sabes as she heard the affirming voice of Austin.
"Have I ever lied to you?"
Sophia's pure eyes blinked several times as she looked at her son, who had grown a little taller than her. She now has to lean her head to look at him.
Finding the warming gaze filling in those eyes, Sophia felt she might lose the left-over fake front. She instantly turned her eyes away.
"Why did you call me here, mother?"
"I never called you? Why do I even call such a child whom I don't have a relation with?"
Austin smirked as he heard the not-so-believable harsh words of his dear mother before he took out something from his inventory.
"Then why did you write this letter saying: Mama misses you, Aussie~ Please come back to me. Mama wants to see-"
"Don't read anymore!"
Sophia tried to snatch the letter away from Austin with her face completely dyed red. But the little minx of son wasn't kind enough to let her erase the piece of embarrassment.
"Will mother talk truthfully now?"
Austin asked with a big grin as he received a complaining pout from the mature one. Finally, after grumbling for some seconds, Sophia spoke in a meek tone.
"Fine...but don't dare repeat that letter again! Do you understand!?"
"Hai... Hai... I promise I won't, mama~."
