Side Story: The Abyss to her Void
"Mhm~ mhm~ hm~", she hummed as she watered her plants, her soft azure eyes glazing upon the plants she was raising.
Belladonna, more commonly known as deadly nightshade, a toxic plant that her mother raised before she was even born.
"Ah~ there is a fruit.", she beamed a smile, carefully moving the vines around to get to the black fruit of the plant, admiring it with wonders.
Then the door to her greenhouse opened, sending a joint down her back to straighten up. She glanced back, it was a hulking man with ash-colored skin, wearing a white T-shirt that has the Omega symbol. He is bald but has a very nice stubble beard due to being recently shaved.
"Kraykray!", she brighten up, delighted even.
"Hah... this nickname thing is... a bit difficult to get used to.", he scratched his cheek, his voice was deep and manly, "Deliah, you have a letter."
Deliah tilted her head to the side, her lips pursed in contemplation, "Should I read it, Kraykray?"
He gave her a nod, "You should, it seemed very important to you."
With a sigh, Deliah took off her gloves and her apron, placing them on her work table. Holding the man's hand, they walk together out of their greenhouse, back to their house.
Deliah smiled as she look at the house, white walls made of marble, looking more like the Parthenon on the outside. She glanced over to the hills, where the actual Parthenon is.
"My mom did have a sense of architecture.", she mentioned as they walk inside.
The man just nodded, agreeing with her.
The inside is inspired more by the victorian style home, with the hall leading to the rooms having paintings hung by the left side. The couple went to the right, going up the spiral stairs that lead to the upper floor.
The upper floor is one giant studio room, decorated with paintings and paint buckets everywhere. The man frowned as the smell of paint enter his nose, he does not like the smell at all.
"I still can't comprehend how you live like this.", the man grumbled.
"Heh~ you shouldn't judge your soon-to-be-wife's living condition.", she giggles and made her way towards the computer setup in the corner of the room.
It was a decent setup, nothing too grand compared to Charlotte or Seria.
She sat down, opened her computer, and went straight for her emails. And there it is, a sender by the name of Silver Royal.
"Is this the one?", Deliah turned back at her man, to which he replied with an affirmative nod.
She opened the email... her eyes widen.
[Dear Deliah Silvi,
I am writing this letter not because of your book, nor to express my emotions towards Andras Silvi. This letter is for you.
I will not say my name now, that is for another time. For now, you can refer to me as Silver Royal, or Princess as many of my viewers like to.
To go straight to the point, I am your long-lost sister. And I want to meet you after discovering your existence, which the world seemed to want to hide from. But no matter, I will find a way to get to you.
Your dearest unknown sister,
Silver Royal.]
She stayed silent for a moment, thinking about the prospect of her sister being out there. She knew she had a sister, she was there when her mother's belly grew bigger and bigger. The joy of her mother and an everlasting smile from her father of getting a new member of their family.
She was happy too, naive at the thought of doting on her younger sister, wondering about what trait would she get from their parents.
All Deliah could do now is letting out a chuckle, "Heha... I know you are out there... seems like you got dad's trait of being all mysterious and mom's knack for drama."
She tried to imagine what her sister would look like, would she have their father's fierce eyes or their mother's gentle gaze? Would she have a big chest like her aunt or small ones like her mother? Then what about hairstyle? There is so much Deliah wanted to know about her...
"Is her name... Charlotte?", she leaned back on the chair, thinking, "Mom and Dad used to say they would name my sibling either Charlotte or Charles..."
"So Charlotte huh...", her eyes carried a vacant look, "Kratos, what do you think?"
She used his real name, which caught him a bit off guard. Yet his stoic face remained.
"Hm...", he browsed his phone, searching for the name 'Silver Royal', "She has a Utube channel."
"Let me see that.", Kratos handed the phone over to Deliah, she squinted her eyes, "Huh, over 450k subscribers. Let's see how she actually is."
She returned the phone to him, then she opened Utube on her computer so that both of them could watch together. Kratos pulled over a chair, sitting next to Deliah.
They clicked on a random stream, one that look to be a chatting stream.
"Kraykray, could you grab some snack for us?", she leaned to him, looking at him with puppy eyes.
"Sure.", he stood up and went downstairs.
Deliah starts the vod, viewing the chibi model of a blond anime girl holding the "starting the stream" sign. She skipped it, getting to the introduction.
"Hello everyone, I am the one and only Silver Royal. Be glad that you could meet me.", she did her introduction with a proud smile.
"So she's a narcissist.", Deliah accurately guessed.
"Her voice is soft and easy to the ear, but there is a confident attitude backing her up.", her author instincts are now fully awakened, "Oh, a book review huh."
Charlotte turned on her hand cam, placing down a very big book, The Count of Monte Cristo, an all-time classic. And the full version with over one thousand pages too.
"She has good taste.", she was happy that Charlotte liked books, just like her.
She started to open the book, reading as she reviews, "I really like this book, a tale of revenge of a man seeking justice from those who wronged him. Despite all of that, he found happiness at the end of the story. I resonate deeply with the Count, specifically the length he would go to in order to complete his goals, yet at the same time still carry a compassionate heart to save those he met on the way."
Deliah could not agree more, thinking about the virtue the book taught her. 'Wait, and Hope' for there will be a better day. And she thinks that day is today.
Her sister was right in front of her, separated only by a screen.
"As my long-time viewers know, I am an egotistical person. I would go to great lengths for what I want, serving only my interests. I may not be as compassionate as the Count, but I do value the people around me to a certain extent."
A dry laugh escaped Deliah, "Good gods, how blunt can she be?"
"My favorite character besides the Count? Well, it must be Father Faria, without him the Count would have rot in prison for the rest of his life. Everyone needs a guide, a person to point them toward the correct path. I have two people guiding me, one who wanted me to just be myself, self-serving and self-centered, and one who tried to push me to a path that would help me become a better person."
"The latter sounded like Aunty.", she chuckled.
Kratos also came back, with a bowl of popcorn in his arms. He sat down next to Deliah, shifting the bowl so that it was in the middle of them.
"Thanks, Kraykray.", she beamed a lovely smile.
"Don't mention it.", he replied, watching the review.
Deliah grabbed a handful of popcorn and began to eat them piece by piece. They enjoy the company of each other, watching her sister being herself.
"She is arrogant.", Kratos commented.
"I think that's just her being dramatic.", Deliah retorted, popping a piece into her mouth then continued, "She has my mom's sense of drama after all."
"I see.", he nodded.
"She really reminded me of Dad too. Trying to act all mysterious and the like."
They continue to watch, commenting on what they found about Charlotte. Deliah was very interested in her sister, thinking how blunt and cute she really is. While Kratos saw a sociopath who is not afraid to murder.
"Thank you for watching the stream, get up and move around, stretch those limbs. And await for the next time I am live. Goodbye.", and the stream ended abruptly.
"Ah~ she is amazing, isn't she?", Deliah giggles, "But who adopted her?"
"From the off comments she gave, it must be someone powerful or have a high authority in an organization.", Kratos guessed.
"My little sis is so cool!", she raised her arms in excitement, "I really want to meet her~"
She leaned onto Kratos' lap, feeling the muscle of her fiancé.
"I think I'll be stuck here all day watching her, so could you take care of my greenhouse for me?", she gave him puppy eyes.
"Hrm...", the man grunted.
"Pretty please?", she smiled in a sly manner, tracing her fingers on his thighs.
"Alright...", he caved in.
"Aww~ thanks! I love you, Kraykray!", she sat upright and gave him a kiss on his cheek.
"Love you too, Deliah.", he kissed her back on her forehead.
She blushed and quickly turned away to hide herself.
"I'll be heading to the bakery now.", he stood up and left. Not before patting Deliah's head.
"Have a good day...", she meekly spoke.
Her eyes turned back to the monitor, choosing another stream to watch.
"Charlotte... I wonder when I can see you..."
