Infinite Potential System

Chapter 280: Goodbye

The Cultivator looked down at William below him, his eyes turning pure golden as a beam of light shot out, much faster than the usual Light Element.

William's vision turned fuzzy as Baldie appeared inside of his mind as a version of himself wearing the golden armor from before. Both figures entered an intense battle within William's mind while the other Pillars of Justice members closed in on William's real body.

Even though he was occupied in his mind, William was still able to move in the real world, though his actions were slightly restricted. His strength was reduced by about twenty percent, while his speed was roughly thirty percent slower, held back by the bald Cultivator's mental power.

Seeing William still moving despite their leader being perfectly still, the Soul Formation Cultivators were shocked and rushed to attack William before he could get close to the bald man.

"Leader Vishnal, watch out!" they shouted as William's figure disappeared through another portal. The man opened one eye and took a peek, startled to see William just inches from his face.

Vishnal leaned backwards to dodge William's punch, narrowly avoiding a lethal blow while kicking forward again to push William back.

Will grabbed Vishnal's leg, spinning him around in a circle before performing a quick chop with the side of his palm, snapping the bone in two. An Array on Vishnal's clothing lit up, trying to heal the wound, but William was already expecting something like this to happen.

He covered his hand with Fire Mana, channeling it into Vishnal's body with a second chop further down the leg. A searing pain spread up the bald man's thigh, forcing him to grit his teeth as he retrieved a small circular object from his Space Ring.

It was a piece of coal, it seemed, which caught fire with a snap of Vishnal's fingers and promptly exploded like a grenade. William briefly shielded his face to protect his eyesight, only to notice that Vishnal had a spear in hand and was aiming directly for William's heart.

The strength of Vishnal's attack seemed life-threatening and William's Forcefield wasn't fully repaired yet, so he was forced to reinforce the area with the Ice and Earth Elements to limit the damage as much as possible.

The spear pierced through William's Illusionist's Cloak, a set of Arrays on the spear wiping away William's own, then continued forward through the Earth, then the Ice shields before stopping on William's Hard Skin.

The Attack Reflection Talent triggered at full power, doubling the damage reflected on Vishnal since he hadn't hurt William. The man's heart was pierced through and through as if he had stabbed himself with his own spear, forcing him to his knees as he gasped for breath.

Their exchange was incredibly fast, the Soul Formation Cultivators only just now reaching their position. An onslaught of Magic Spells enveloped William, already adjusted to ensure they didn't hurt their leader in the process.

William grabbed Vishnal and used his body as a human shield to block the attacks, then ripped the spear from the man's arm and pointed it at the Soul Formation Cultivators with a wicked grin. He had appraised the spear the moment it appeared, and the stats were nothing to sneeze at.

"Goodbye." William said as he poked forward with the spear, tearing open the first and second layers of space in front of the Soul Formation Cultivators and sucking two bodies towards the spatial tear.

They screamed and shouted as they were slowly pulled into a void, their skin and bones shredded by the violent Space Mana. As the tear started to close, William didn't forget to reach for their outstretched hands and cut off their fingers to steal their Space Rings.

I don't care what happens, I'm not going to leave my loot behind. He thought as he rushed towards the next group of Cultivators.

Perion, who had fully recovered by this time, was terrified when he saw William making use of the Original Strengthening Spear to kill his comrades. He looked over to Vishnal whose vitality was slowly fading but still present, heaving a sigh of relief.

He's not dead, good. I just need to stall this boy a little while and we can recover!

Perion didn't have any more allies to call, most of them useless in such a situation. If anything, he felt like it would be better to back off and let William go free. The boy's strength was in the Tribulation Transcendence Realm, and a serious fight at that level could destroy an entire Region if it went on long enough.

He looked at Blue Moon City, whose walls had totally collapsed while civilians were nowhere to be seen. The smart ones had probably fled already, while the others...

Perion shook his head. He didn't care about Commoners. Anyone that didn't have the ability to Cultivate was useless in his eyes, and those that couldn't reach the Nascent Soul Realm were trash at best.

What he did care about, however, was accidentally destroying a World Core like what happened during a battle a few hundred years ago. He remembered that year very clearly, since it was the same period where the Pillars of Justice and half of the Azures Continent almost ceased to exist.

If it weren't for a mysterious Cultivator with four Domains, the Yu Royal Family and many of the largest powers would be extinct!

Since then, the Pillars of Justice had chosen to revere the Heavens as the undisputed overlords of Azures, and Efretta as a whole. They prayed to the Heavens daily and squashed anyone that dared to cause trouble involving the World Cores.

This was the real reason why Tribulation Transcendence Cultivators rarely went out. Not because they didn't want to cause problems in each other's territories, but because if a Greater or Superior Core were ever broken again, the Elemental Beast Tides would be the least of their worries.

At that point, they would be facing the wrath of the Heavens!

I can't believe I considered asking for William to be let go. How could I be so stupid? Perion berated himself mentally.

If William's strength was in the Tribulation Transcendence Realm, that only made him more of a threat to the World. He didn't have to absorb the World Cores; he could shatter them with his fist alone!

Perion reached for his communicator and contacted Supreme Left's assistant directly, relaying the events of the last few minutes. The assistant took his information and reported to Supreme Left immediately, who promptly opened a portal with the legitimate Dao Staff that didn't belong to any of his clones.

Before going to the battlefield at Blue Moon City, Supreme Left took the initiative to teleport into a cave with a small waterfall where a long-haired shirtless man with scars covering his back was Cultivating in silence.

"What is it? You never come to me directly anymore. I thought you didn't want to talk to me." the man asked with a light smirk.

Supreme Left grit his teeth for a moment, "Forget about that, this is important. Come with me."

"Say it nicely." the man prodded Supreme Left further.

"...Fine. Unbreakable Right, will you come with me to save the World? It seems the Pillars have provoked an enemy I can't handle by myself."
