Chapter 30: Chapter 25 Frantic Searching in the Arena

Everyone quickly drew their weapons and gathered anything that could be of help. Su Yuan was weaving a trap. Her hands moved quickly as she concentrated. Daniel unsheathed his sword and Thalassa... Dunno I don't know what happens inside that machine.

Meanwhile, I was frantically saving all my cloud buildings, which had taken a lot of my time and sweat to build. Of course, they are important. I knew they might not be necessary for the upcoming battle, but I couldn't let them go to waste.

Seeing how little I cared about preparing, Daniel asked, "Are you sure they are necessary? You could just make more."

"Counterpoint: I don't care. It's not like I have weapons or armor." My hooves kept snatching everything they could, even if they took a bit of damage

While I stuffed clouds into my inventory, Thalassa and Daniel made a rushed plan.

The plan was simple I needed to search for them and stay away from barriers and any kind of anti-magic, even if they were in danger.

I replied, "Yeah Yeah... Anyways, see ya in a few seconds."

The system blue page appeared, "Teleporting..."

Our bodies shone in a blue light, transitioning an arena with hundreds of players. All kinds of terrains adorned the place. Featuring various terrains such as deserts, snowy landscapes, ruins, lakes, jungles, and even small caves with tiny mountains.

The change was so abrupt and unexpected that most players decided to take defensive postures. Only a few went for an aggressive approach.

"341 players remaining," the system announced.

The risks were too high compared to the small rewards, and it wasn't worth it for most players. However, this didn't deter the strongest players in the arena, for whom it was just extra gold.

Dante's eyes quickly scanned the area, mainly searching for Daniel; he propelled upwards with a jump, still searching, but now from high above.

Some players aimed at him in concern that he might pull something

Just as his wings were spread, ready to fly, he was suddenly interrupted by a voice calling out his name. He turned to see a moth girl with four arms raising her arms to gain his attention. "Dante!" she exclaimed urgently.

The Pegasus instantly grabbed her, taking her to his search. "If you see Daniel or Thalassa, tell me."

Su Yuan already knew this but answered anyway. "Ok"

Where could they be? At least Thalassa is easy to spot. There aren't that many robots, but Daniel is just a generic swordsman without many remarkable features. It would be difficult to find him among the crowd of players.

The moth's voice interrupted my thoughts. "Hey, look-"

I didn't even let her finish before asking, "Where!?"

She aimed with her hand at the location of her robotic friend, screaming happily, "Thalassa."

The players beside Thalassa didn't like that a pegasi was approaching their position at an alarming speed.

In a rush, Dante skillfully dodged all the players. Most of them were shooting at their new enemy, but Dante didn't want to fight. It would be stupid if his wings got damaged. Any severe damage was a game over for everyone.

The pegasi grabbed her, departing in an instant. Now, three players were searching for Daniel.

Dante was actually getting really worried. From what he saw, most players decided to team up and form groups of 4-8 players.

Someone who is by themselves is easy prey. Most players were ganging against them. Being on your own is almost a death sentence.

I say almost because a small percentage was going on a rampage by themself in a 1v10

I can even hear ominous high-energy rock and metal OST with a dark, melancholic tone wherever that player walks, accompanied by the faint echoes of someone screaming 'Judgment.'

Another guy is using weird magical music and fending off five guys... But Daniel isn't as strong as those guys.

The more time passed, the worse it got; perhaps he was already dead. It's my fault?

Dante couldn't help but feel responsible for Daniel's. He had already left Icaxis and Winfred to die, and the thought of abandoning someone again weighed down his mind, and Rainbow Dash's loyal personality didn't help with this problem.

His mind went wild with various scenarios, yet it didn't deter him. He kept searching until his eyes didn't see his body. There is still a glimmer of hope.

That's when his eyes spotted a faint blue eerie far away.

...

His eyes dilatated, concentrating on his wings, which were now vibrating like never before. In a burst of energy, Dante propelled forward, moving at an unbelievable speed for a mere 0.1 second.

It might seem a short amount, but it will be enough to cover the distance. His Dash was almost like teleportation for those with bad eyes, and for those with good eyes, a Blue blur in the sky appeared for a fraction of a second, followed by a deafening sound that echoed across the place.

Dante's burst of speed pulled out a small Sonic Rainboom. His feat left the sky wrapped in a dazzling rainbow trail. The meteorological event kept expanding, and no one could see it ending soon.

Everyone who wasn't busy fighting for his life turned their head upwards to see the stunning phenomenon.

But out of all the players, one individual screamed to the heavens, euphoric on ecstasy. He held his hands in a reverent gesture of halleluja, exclaiming, "RIGHT! I GUESS THIS IS MY LUCKY DAY!"

The rainbow that seemed to have no end abruptly stopped returning to where it originated just as it reached point zero. The entire rainbow started to condense in a bubble in the hands of a player.

The player had platinum hair, blue eyes, and lavish yet tattered clothing. The player chanted, "Sinfonia No 0: Boreal,"

A massive circle manifested above the bubble composed of many small magical constructions. The design of the process was so intricate and beautiful that even non-mages could appreciate it. The magical circle began to shrink rapidly until it vanished into thin air.

The strange turn of events took aback Dante. Daniel warned him about weird abilities but that someone could weaponize the rainbow trail he left. It was a terrifying thought. What else of him could be a weakness against other players?

As he pondered this, Dante paused to observe the display. Suddenly, one of his hooves felt heavier than usual, and he stumbled a bit.

A visitor had appeared out of nowhere and grabbed his hoof, preventing him from falling. The culprit was none other than the player with platinum hair who had caused the rainbow to dissipate.

Thalassa and Su Yuan immediately prepared to attack, but they hesitated when they noticed a piece of paper in the man's hands. Without wasting any time, he spoke up, "Ladies, could you please move and hear me out? That thing is a bomb and is about to explode at any moment."

I flew away from the zone as he continued, "How about a deal?" he passed the paper to Thalassa.

Now that the important matters have been taken care of, the stranger presented himself, "James, that's how you may refer to me. you have wings, huh? I'm not that good at biology, but you should be a pegasus, right?"

Thalassa finished reading the contract instantly, interrupting him, "This is a non-aggression pact. I'm 97% sure this is safe, I don't detect any tampering."

Thalassa's voice was shut by a boreal explosion of tremendous magnitudes rumbled not far away. The aftermath left an aurora borealis effect on its way.

+7430 gold (Assistance)

As she signed the contract, Su Yuan commented, "Okay, if you did that, I'm 100% into it."

Followed by Thalassa and me, who weren't totally convinced, but he might come in handy to survive more.

Dante continued his search for Daniel, who hadn't shown up for a while. The last blue aura wasn't from him.

The new team member asked with politeness and respect, "Ladies if it isn't a problem, May I know where we are going?"

Feeling rushed and anxious, I replied hastily, "Searching someone." My nerves were starting to get me, and that was bad.

After what seemed like an eternity, The relentless search finally met its end. Without warning, he accelerated towards Daniel's position, whose new armor was already worn out.

At this moment, he was running away from a horde of eight opponents. Most of his aura was concentrated in his legs and eyes to nimbly evade incoming attacks.

Just as he was running, something grabbed him out of his armor. Normally, he would have fought back against whatever was grabbing him, but he recognized the grip. It was Dante.

Dante snatched him with his first instinct to run away from this unfavorable fight, so his body vibrated, ready to push his body to its limits and make a break for it. His direction suddenly shifted upwards as the pegasi lifted him off the ground.

As his body just shot up, he managed to hear a faint scream. It was something about "The World."

Isn't that-
