Chapter 21: Chapter 21: Coach Togo
[T/N: If you have like it so far, a few reviews would help]
Hikari deftly dodged Shirakawa's outstretched, delicate hand as she tried to playfully pinch his ear, instead moving behind her to gently knead her shoulders. "Shirakawa-sensei, let me explain."
Feeling his practiced hands easing her tension, Shirakawa let out a sigh, her tone softening. "Alright, let's hear this grand excuse of yours."
Truthfully, she had a good impression of Hikari. He'd always been well-behaved, and over time, they'd developed a close teacher-student rapport. Ever since he'd once helped her with a shoulder massage, she'd even become a little dependent on his skills, occasionally calling him to help her out.
In return, she'd sometimes cut him some slack with school matters. Their relationship was one of mutual respect and understanding, something like teacher and friend.
As he continued the massage, his gaze inevitably drifted to her Mariana Trench-like neckline. Keeping his voice steady, he explained, "I was only late because something came up. On my way to school, I saw some of our classmates being harassed by a few delinquent-looking guys. I stepped in to help and drove them off. That's why I ended up running late."
"What?" Shirakawa instantly spun around, completely forgetting the massage.
She grabbed his hands, inspecting them as she asked worriedly, "Hikari, are you alright? Did they hurt you anywhere? Are you injured?"
Thinking for a second, he opened his mouth and stuck out his tongue, pointing to a small, barely visible scrape on its tip. "My tongue got a little hurt, but I'm otherwise fine."
Shirakawa leaned in and examined the small mark with genuine concern. "There's no way I can bandage that, but try not to drink anything too hot or eat anything too spicy. Just take it easy and take care of yourself, alright?"
He nodded appreciatively. "Thanks, Sensei. Does this mean you're not going to hold the tardiness against me?"
With a light slap on his chest, she chuckled, "You got hurt while doing something good! Of course, I won't hold it against you."
Hikari smiled. Shirakawa truly was kind-hearted—not only was she beautiful with an amazing figure, but she was understanding too.
Of course, if she knew that his injury wasn't from a fight but from a little accidental nip during a kiss with Natsuha, she'd probably be livid.
"By the way, Hikari, you still need to keep up with your studies. Chizuru said you didn't turn in your homework today. I understand the circumstances, but make sure to have it ready tomorrow, alright?"
Then she added, "And this weekend, why don't you come over? I'll give you some tutoring to make sure you're on track."
Hikari nodded, admiring the warmth in her gaze as she spoke. "Alright, I'll be there."
Just then, his homeroom teacher, Tsukishima Kyoko, finished scolding a student and, after sending him out, turned her attention to Hikari and Shirakawa's conversation.
As soon as the boy, Morishita, was out of earshot, Kyoko's impressive chest rose and fell with visible frustration. Catching part of their talk, she chimed in, "Hikari, make sure you're studying hard. Don't turn out like that slacker Morishita!"
Morishita stumbled a little at the door, then quickly picked up his pace, visibly flinching at her words.
Hikari only chuckled and gave a polite response.
Kyoko then fixed her gaze on him, a bit more intently than usual. "And, Hikari, if you're free on Sunday, you can come over to my place too. I can help tutor you as well."
Her eyes weren't exactly on his face—they were lingering on his hands, the same hands still on Shirakawa's shoulders. He couldn't miss the slight hunger in her eyes, likely eyeing those practiced massage skills of his.
With a light chuckle, he replied, "Sure, if I have time, I'll come by."
He knew that while Kyoko could be strict, she genuinely cared about her students. Her reputation for being tough only hid how invested she was in helping her students succeed.
After a bit more shoulder massaging, Hikari discreetly activated his Pure Love Aura Vision, glancing at the two teachers. Both had a gentle white glow around them, but he noted a hint of red—a sign of potential danger.
Following his gaze, he looked over to the student Kyoko had just scolded, Morishita, who was lingering near the doorway.
It made sense. With both Shirakawa and Kyoko's stunning figures and beauty, trouble was inevitable. Hikari remembered bits of similar incidents from his past life—just enough to recall how those kinds of situations tended to play out. Given Morishita' small stature and nervous demeanor, he was most likely a mind control type.
With a slight smile, Hikari spent 20 Pure Love Points to exchange for two Clarity Amulets.
"Here, Shirakawa-sensei. I got this protective charm at a temple recently; I heard it's quite effective. I'd like you to have one."
Shirakawa, who was visibly touched, took the small, clear jade charm and examined it. "Oh, it's beautiful! It looks like it's carved from white jade—is it rare?"
"I'm not sure about the specifics, but keep it on you, and it'll do the trick," he assured her.
Shirakawa beamed, pulling him into a hug. "Thank you, Hikari. I'll keep it with me at all times."
Turning to Kyoko, he handed her the second charm. "Here, Tsukishima-sensei, one for you too."
She accepted it with a reserved nod, maintaining her usual composed tone. "Thank you. Just leave it on the desk."
He didn't mind her cool response, understanding her preference to keep up her strict reputation. After exchanging a few more words with Shirakawa, Hikari left the office.
As he walked out, he considered going back to the classroom but was soon distracted by a girl on the stairs.
She had striking red shoulder-length hair, a toned figure with an impressive hourglass shape, and carried herself with a confident stride. Her ample curves were hard to ignore, rivaling those of Mifuyu Yukino.
But it wasn't her looks that caught his eye—his Pure Love Aura Vision had detected an ominous deep red aura surrounding her.
"That girl… isn't that Akane Nanao from the class next door?"
After enhancing his attributes, Hikari's memory had improved remarkably, and it only took a moment for him to recall her name.
Akane Nanao—he was vaguely familiar with her. They'd never interacted, but she was memorable. Even without his past life's experiences, her maturity and striking figure were attention-grabbing. [T/N: Oh, the trauma!]
Connecting the dots, Hikari quickly deduced the reason behind the dangerous aura surrounding her.
Watching as she hurried down the stairs, visibly disturbed, he followed her quietly.
Akane, oblivious to Hikari tailing her, was too wrapped up in her own thoughts to notice anyone around.
Recently, she had joined the school's baseball team as a manager. She'd originally been a passionate swimmer but was forced to quit after hitting puberty, as her body developed far too quickly. Yet, one day, she had stumbled upon Shou Katase, practicing baseball with intense focus. His dedication captivated her, and soon, they'd become close friends. Under his influence, she'd joined the baseball club to support his ambitions.
However, their friendship wasn't without complications. While their bond deepened, the baseball team had strict rules against dating. This meant they had to bury their feelings, not even daring to call each other by name in public. For the sake of Shou's dreams, they'd never so much as held hands.
But yesterday, their discreet meeting had been discovered by the baseball coach, Coach Togo.
Togo had a bad reputation—rumored to have been reassigned after allegedly harassing female teachers and students. When he caught them, he'd told her to meet him alone in the equipment storage room today.
Akane couldn't shake her unease. She had a sinking feeling about what awaited her.
Lost in these troubling thoughts, she found herself at the entrance to the storage room before she knew it.
"You're late, Akane! I've been waiting ages for you!"
The oily voice of Coach Togo echoed from the dimly lit room.
Looking up, she saw him—a bulky, menacing figure with an unpleasant sneer, his eyes roving over her.
Ignoring his tone, Akane kept her composure. "Coach Togashi, why did you call me here?"
His sleazy grin only widened, his eyes flashing with anticipation. "Sexual education."
Akane froze, her voice laced with disgust. "W-what? Sexual education?"
