I will strive beyond this cursed bloodline!

Chapter 59: [Rossie] 3 – I will [Prove] these feelings are [Real]

She was back in here...The soulscape.

Her body in the real world was sitting in front of her Elizabeth, she could feel in her hand the warmth that the blonde girl gave when she took her hands...

And even looking at her hand it had color, a stark contrast with the rest of her body and the room she was within. A desolate world of grays and blacks.

In one of the mirrors she could see herself sitting in front of Elizabeth with her eyes closed, while inside here she saw the reflection of herself as she was when little. A scrawny girl with pink lifeless eyes and hair that no one ever took care of.

She was standing in the middle of one of the old rooms of her orphanage, trashed beyond recognition, granted it wasn't that tidy before... But now?

It looked as if one of those times one of the caretakers had come angry because I had been returned once again... They couldn't take their anger on me since I was quite adorable even as a child...And because I didn't know that one needed to cry when hit.

So that brought a smile to my face thinking about those women...They only got angry because they had to return the money after selling me... And after seeing my reflection in one of the broken crystals my smile got even wider.

My eyes!

They had color!

Most of my body didn't have any color...Nor the room... Only my diary and Magical Girl outfit had color before...But now?

Now my eyes were shining in a pink light... My body was starting to be painted in colors!

A quick look into my whole body, however...Brought me to a stop. In my chest, there was a scar... A nasty scar that seemed to glow in golden light traversed almost all of the upper part of my chest.

I was not happy about that, so putting once again my clothes (One of the orphanage gowns) I went towards the window. The void was changing too. Now there was a shining star in the middle that brought warm light and slowly colored the room.

Granted the monochrome fought back and you could see here and there how things changed from black and white to colored ones, but I hadn't come here to admire this.

Nor to add more spells to my diary. No. I was here to [Evolve]... Elizabeth had been in danger after the whole thing with the student council girl. And she had stood up to her [Pressence]. Was it because her [Affinity] was higher?

No...It wasn't [Affinity] was it? She now understood how the blonde girl saw the world when the connection to her solidified into something more strong.

She had felt the connection grow steady with each day passing by, but there was no feedback before. Not before that blue window showed up asking her if she would pledge herself to her.

She didn't hesitate and said yes, of course, she cursed her recklessness when the same screen told her to wait for the answer from the blonde girl. In the end, Elizabeth accepted since she could now see a detailed description of [Herself].

Numbers and descriptions flooded her mind, she knew what this was and it was...It tasted deliciously like Elizabeth, the understanding of the skill flooded her mind from a perspective that wasn't hers. She [knew] they were the thoughts and understanding of Elizabeth when she experimented with the skill.

She couldn't hold back a little moan when the knowledge of how the blonde girl saw the world saturated her mind, it brought her pleasure beyond measure and the mere thought of that was enough to make her shiver.

"[Status]" Intoned the pink-haired girl bringing up the same blue screen that she had seen in the real world. The option for evolution was still present but it presented the true form of her magic.

The [Origin], it was a better description than [Affinity] and so she pressed the confirmation and knowledge flooded her mind. This one was...more inorganic. It was like the information you would get from a machine, it held no taste, no smell. Not like the knowledge she got from Elizabeth's understanding of the [Skill].

Either way, she knew what she needed to do, the blue screen had told her to go into the center of her [Soulscape] to touch upon the [Core] of her [Soul] and to mold her wish into the mana, infuse it in her mind and to [Pray] to [The World] so her [Origin] would transcend and rise to a new level.

So she breathed in, sharpened her will into a spear made of mana, closed her eyes, and focused on what she needed "[I ask of thee...Give me the power to help my loved one...Give me the strength to stand with her...Give me the tools so that I can follow after her...]" She said while kneeling in the window that was in her room.

She opened her eyes and they shone with a brilliant light, it was golden in color like the one in her chest, but on the borders, there was a pinkish color. She could feel the wound in her chest shining but she didn't lose focus. Instead, these distractions only made her focus more strongly on her wish...

Into her [Prayer] to give it form, to give it a purpose.

"[So that the shining star at the center of my world never suffer...Give me the power to protect, the power to help...The power to shape my love into the form I need...And to better understand both my love and the one I wish that becomes my lover.]" And she felt it, her prayer...Her wish molded inside the mana and turned it into a shining spear that materialized in her hand, it was golden in color and almost as tall as her body.

She grabbed it and felt the thing's warm feeling, it was the same feeling she got when she smelled the mana that was left in Elizabeth's clothes. She almost wanted to...Do things with the spear.

But a look into the mirror that showed the real world stopped her, the image was frozen as if the time had stopped, and inside she could see the blonde girl's tears. So she hardened her resolve and took aim.

"[ EVOLVE ]" She screamed and threw the spear into the all-compassing void, the spear flew leaving behind a stele of light that returned momentarily color to her soulscape.

Even her arm had regained colors almost till her shoulder... She couldn't help but wonder what would have happened if that spear had gone inside her body... Perhaps she could have earned herself...Feelings?

True ones, instead of the mimicry she did... Feelings besides the ones she had for the blonde...But then...Would she still [Love] Elizabeth?

Were her feelings true [Love]?

Or were these the craving of a thirsty girl that had found the oasis in the middle of the desert?

She didn't know the answer, nor wanted to really think too deeply about it. Instead, she just watched as the spear traveled the void and found purchase in the middle of the overwhelming void in the middle of that black hole.

The spear flew true and then burst in a cacophony of light and emotions, she for one glorious second felt overwhelmed with almost every kind of feeling she had ever both heard or feigned.

For one glorious second, the world had colors.

Then...It was gone.

She didn't need to see the mirror to know the little girl she was inside the soulscape had a disappointed look right now. But she didn't have too much time to deal with that, since a sudden *ping* distracted her.

And after summoning once again the screen that showed her information. There in her status was a new [Origin].

[Emphatic Healing]

She went into the mirror and besides her eyes shining with pink hearts on them she couldn't see much difference in her body, not inside the soulscape where she was still a little girl. Nor in the real world where Elizabeth was standing.

At some point, she had stood?

There were a few extra dragons besides her body. Did she summon new ones to help Nyx?

That would be...Problematic. The little guy had been trying to stop her from cleaning Elizabeth's dirty dishes and he had tried to wash her and blonde's clothes. And by the way, those dragons were dressed... A butler and a maid...

Tch.

She would need to speak with the blonde, or perhaps she could barter some of the less important work in the household?

The new apartment in this city seemed smaller, but since they were in a city there was more dust and smog around, so perhaps she could convince them to only dust the place and keep the place tidy while she dealt with the clothes and dishes?

It would should work.

"What else do I need to do?" She wondered aloud while looking around. She didn't feel like writing new spells. She did focus her eyes and will into her diary, to see if she could get help with her spells...

But...

Notice:

Please submit the [Soulscape's Core] to analyze [Spells] and [Magical Circles] embed into the [Soul] for optimization...

Y/N

Yeah...She was not going to do that.

While her [Spell Nodes] were ordinary enough (Most of them at least)... She was not ready to come clean about her [Magical Circles] she had embedded on her [Soulspace]. She didn't want to explain Elizabeth why she needed [Sound Isolation] barriers...

Nor why she had [Video Recording] Magical Circles... Nor where she used those same spells.

No...

She did notice that a flick of her will would be enough to be able to control the alotation of her [Stats]. Her status seemed to orbitate towards a pure mage build so she left that alone. After all, if she turned it off she would need to alot all of those status again...

And if the understanding she got from Elizabeth was true, she would felt quite a rush when her status went above certain tresholds... She would save that for when she got more [Feelings].

For now she allowed herself to feel happy about what she had achieved, so she went towards her diary and wrote the date in the back of it. That page had a couple of extra dates already on it.

The day she awakened her magic and got the first taste of feelings... And the feeling she got that time [Rage]. Rage at the absence of feelings. Rage at the world that didn't understood her...Rage at the fact that the feeling didn't last.

The day she learned that if she wanted to be left alone, she needed to pretend. To act like a happy girl, to fake feelings and to pretend to be normal.

The day she came to the school and saw for the first time Elizabeth...And the feeling she got that day. [Love].

For what other feeling could be the pull she felt into her [Soul]. Her soul craved for the blonde girl. And what a wonderful feeling it was, it molded itself and allowed her to finally [Feel] other things, and unlike [Rage] it didn't stoped growing.

Unlike [Rage] it painted her world in different colors.

It turned mere annoyance into [Disgust] when that [Bug] tried to pester Elizabeth.

It turned mild Anger into [Righteous Hate] when that [B#tch] attacked Elizabeth with her sword in the colosseum. It took almost all her control to not bolt outside her bedroom when her [Monitoring Spells] showed her what had occurred in the day.

And more importantly, it turned her longing for true feelings into [Conviction]. That gave her the [Valor] to stand the woman's spells that invaded her mind and looked around.

That gave her the [Strenght] to not curse at Elizabeth for her mother's antics... If she needed to sacrifice a part of her [Soul] to earn her approval then she would give it all she wanted.

Because yes...She was aware that the woman had ripped part of her [Soul]... One of the walls in her room was missing after all...

She wasn't sure why, but then again that woman had used her mana to look all over her body, not even she had ever used that much mana to investigate her own body.

But for now she would ignore that... Instead she walked towards the mirror that showed the outside world and as if a liquid the mirror engulfed her, soon enough the feelings of her body dissapeared.

And after opening her eyes once again she was in the real world, her body was again normal, and infront of her, standing tall and proud the worried eyes of her...Friend. Elizabeth, were upon her looking worriedly at her.

She looked so adorable when she was frowning like that. "I'm back Eli-Eli ❤" She said while standing and stretching her body.

"Welcome back Rossie." Said the blonde girl still frowning "Everything went okay?" Asked her Elizabeth.

"Yep ❤." I answered while summonig the blue screen and pointing at it "My [Origin] safely evolved into [Emphatic Healing]" And a prompt showed up after saying that.

Notice:

Do you wish to share updated information?

Y/N

Of course, I willed my mana to the [Yes] option and thought about leaving it on permanent Yes... But if it informed Elizabeth of my spell or magical circle selection...

Yeah... That was a no-no.

"Eli-Eli quick question," I said while willing away the screens after showing her the evolution. "Can you see the [Spell Nodes] or [Magical Circles] with that skill?"

At this, the blonde girl showed a shocked expression. Didn't she think of this? I felt like it would be an obvious first step considering how her skill seemed to show quite the amount of information.

"Ehh...I don't think so...?" Said the blonde girl while tilting her head cutely to the side. "I haven't tried since the [Mana] seems to invade the target...And I think it's uncomfortable." She finished saying.

Uncomfortable? She didn't feel like that... Also, why had her mouth moved in a way but the sound of her words felt like they said another thing?

She had noticed some teachers spoke like that sometimes...But she shelved the idea.

"I see...Well, try to use it if you can against [Villains] when we go patrolling. I will try and distract them." I said while renewing my plans, she wasn't sure if any of her spell combinations would be useful in that. But perhaps she could defend Elizabeth with one of her barriers?

She had earned quite the mastery after casting them almost daily. If not she would shower them in [Bolt] spells. She was becoming quite proficient in weaving spells to create [Composite Magic] as the blonde showed them. To the chagrin of her teachers that seemed to want her to follow their style of making the finished nodes instead of merging them like Elizabeth did.

And since she was beating almost everyone in her classes... And her homeroom teacher was Agatha, one of the students of [The Stardust Explorer] they couldn't say her anything.

For now, they would plan, and then on Monday, they would go on their first patrol in the city!

She was so excited!

...ANOTHER NEW EMOTION!

"Let's have fun in the city Eli-Eli ❤! " She said while tackle-hugging the blonde girl into the floor. She didn't mind the destruction in the apartment.

Nor thought too much about how the shadows formed a fluffy bed for both girls who started roughhousing in said bed. She just was enjoying herself with her...Friend.

Yes, she would make sure her Elizabeth was a happy girl. She would also use her new magic to try and search for a way to fix herself, she refused to believe her feelings for the blonde were coming from being starved of emotions.

She would fix her [Soulscape] and make it a vibrant place full of colors...She would make herself [Full] and then confront her emotions once again. And then and only then...Would she speak about her feelings to the blonde.

With some luck, she would reciprocate them...

And if not...Well... She was learning magic and was getting quite the mastery about [Mind] attuned magic. And [Biomancy] was a school of magic close to [Healing] so she could move her [Origin] towards that school if needed. So she could change to be whatever the blonde wished.

Why she only needed to ask ❤.
